I'm in Canada I find it so interesting that apartments come furnished there...that is a very rare thing here. There are large homes that will sometimes be leased out for maybe a year or two if someone has taken a job placement in another Country, so they might lease their home out furnished until they return...but this is very rare. So we just are forced to begin buying, diy'-ng furniture as we go basically from your early 20's you begin to accumulate furniture - often starting with hand me downs from friends and family, goodwill finds, etc. It's definitely a process of "trading up" as the years go buy. A funny story. When I was still in university I used some fabric remnants some mode podge and a shoe box and made myself a sewing box, to keep sewing bits in, thread, needle, loose buttons etc. The other day my husband said " hey where's that flower shoe box with the sewing stuff?"...I laughed and said well I finally upgraded it to a proper little sewing kit with a lid and everything! That shoe box followed me around for many moves and I finally pitched it a whopping 34 years later :)

Your flat looks like a beautiful upscale hotel! So calm, airy, relaxing and sleek! The large mirror in living area looks great! Your dressing room is beautiful, I like that the wardrobes are simple in design because it keeps it clean and sleek looking and allows the items to shine like your beautiful shoes & bags. Such a luxury to be able to see and know where everything is! You are so organized. You did a great job! Hope you are enjoying it!

Wow, that was fantastic Laura! You are as discriminating and creative at designing your ideal home & working space as you are designing your brand and expressing what makes you special and unique in how you find and style fashion. I am gutted about your monogrammed towels :(, but yes loved everything you did. It looks like you found the perfect apartment after all, despite all what you had to go though. I must ask you about your glass container with those gorgeous puffy cotton balls (I think that's what they are?) they almost look like the cotton was just plucked from the field with some of the plant material still on, natural actual GIANT cotton balls. Oh I just love them! Thanks for showing your flat. It all came together. So happy for you!

Thank you, Laura. I love your new place. I love the modern look of it, so clean and neat looking. I love the furnishings, too. Good luck with it. BTW, I use a Squeegee on my glass shower doors after I take a shower. It so helps keeping the glass looking clean. Don't make a mistake like I did and buy one with a black rubber bottom, buy a white or clear one.

It's kinda ironic that I found your channel through your last apartment tour.
I would personally add curtains in the living area to make it more cozy and feel more private, even if nobody can see in, I'm just paranoid, haha.
And I'm also wondering where all of your other (aka not beauty or clothes) stuff is, because it doesn't look like you have a lot of storage. I know you mentioned your "crap" closet and baskets, but that wouldn't be enough for me and all the notebooks, other tools, wrapping paper and stuff to decorate with, books, documents, umbrellas and just pretty much everything I own lol
They’re in the engine cupboard :) tried adding a curtain in the living room it wasn’t strong enough to hold as I can’t put nails in the wall x

Looks fab Laura great job. You've made it look stylish but so comfy too and very clean. I've been to places and not been able to wait to leave not cos of the hosts personally but cos i just don't feel comfortable but I'd feel totally chillaxed in your lounge and I'd feel very calm too.
I notice you and I wear the same footwear indoors at least in this stuffy weather - our bare feet :D Feels divine and I think good quality carpet or rugs are the treat our feet deserve :)
