This episode felt like a Season 2 episode.
- Madison using the radio backfired same as when she turned on the lights at the hotel which also backfired.
- Another hotel like in Season 2.
- Strand lying to Elena and the rest about who he was (a doctor) & yet again he's lying about who he is in another hotel.
- The bus that connects the outside to the hotel reminds me of the bus at the colonia which connected the settlement with the outside world
- People invading the hotel, again the same as when the people invaded the Season 2 hotel.
Also in the previews for the upcoming episodes you can see Strand and co in a boat, again reminds me of flashbacks on the Abigail. Is it just me that is making these connections or does anyone else see it as well?
I see it also - feels like they are doing it on purpose "the ending of it all kinda relating to earlier stuff" type writing

Season 2 atleast made sense in how everyone found each other. they *showed* it, this time madison just randomly fuckin shows up at the hotel, same with daniel and them. Everyone just teleports around in Andrew and Ians show
Season 2, some (like travis iirc) saw the hotel lights turn on, they found nick because he was close enough nearby where there was an overlap between two groups of people. No one teleported, nothing felt unrealistic. HOW TF DID MADISON JUST APPEAR IN STRANDS HOTEL OF ALL PLACES
I just dont understand how all of the protagonists and all of the antagonists got in a room together and no one killed each other. They all just pointed guns. Even tho Troy was about to kill everyone just before they all walked in. Doesnt make any sense.
Right Troy keeps telling them he’s not gonna stop until he finds Padre and they just let him go
Little linguistic remark: as a German native speaker I can say the actors of Strand and Klaus don't speak any German at all. They have just learned the sentences. The pronunciation was so odd, I could hardly understand what they were saying. Had to read the subtitles. On the other hand the grammar was so perfect, even lots of foreigners living in Germany for many years have their little struggles with some tricky grammar issues. So the whole German part just sounded somewhat unrealistic und silly for me. But the actor of Frank very likely has a good knowledge of the German language in real life.
Mwah, I don't know. As a Dutch speaker who is pretty fluent in German, I foundation it quote believable. You're right the grammar was maybe too good, but that's writing. But I can believe an American actor who learned german somewhere would use this pronuncation.

Fear died end of season 3, I've watched it since but it's just painful. Like the sandbox for TWD , crazy and ridiculous story lines. I'll suffer until the end tho

Also apparently When Strand and Madison were surrounded by walkers in the building the people he talked about that starved to death were atleast Sarah, Wendell, Jacob, Sabrina, Josiah LaRoux and Maya Vazquez (maybe also Charlie) so basically we just had 3 reasonably big characters killed off screen…

At this point, the only way to make the show better for them to bring in the CRM have a CRM take them in or kidnap them and then bring them into the Rick show, without the current Showrunners

Madison has selfishly screwed up multiple times on the show over the years though in her defense, most of her decisions were based on protecting her children.
They said they were tourists and got trapped there and I guess got lucky enough to not get bothered until now lol. Idk

I hate how they tried keeping Troy a secret. At the end of the 1st half of the season the person we now know was Troy clearly had long blonde hair hanging down when the camera was focused on his hand which were very feminine..I think thats a cheap way to misdirection the fans putting a completely different person in teaser scenes that looks nothing like the person its suppose to be
This episode was a snooze fest for most of it. I can't wait to get rid of these showrunners and I hope they never get to have another show ever again....Also not buying Alicia being dead, but if the actress never wanted back, can't blame her either

There's no real threat when groups meet eachother. It's like highschool drama level of threat. This far into the apocalypse everyone's too civilised and trusting of people from the old worlds rules

Seen a lot of people claiming that Strand confirmed the deaths of Sarah, Wendell, Jacob and a few other "major" (lol) characters when he was taking to Madison. Seems to be supported by the reports that Mo Collins (Sarah) wasn't asked to return for filming. Now obviously you take anything Strand says with a pinch of salt but it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if the show did just kill them off like that. Starved to death out of pure pettiness. Respect haha.

I think Alicia mocked up someone to appear like 'walker alicia' since they are pretty rotten no one will get very close to verify, and she's watching nearby for the opportunity to get the drop on Troy.
I don't think Alicia is dead at all. I think she will show up in the finale and we will get that Madison/Alicia reunion that we all want

Lol, they totally have guards. They were on the bus at the edge of the compound. You know, where the walkers and suspicious newcomers are? They don't need guards in the middle of the compound where it's safe 🤷♂.
The only part that was remotely good in this episode was Troy showing up since he's one of the series best characters. But my issue with this episode is it takes SO LONG to get there. Most of the episode was so slow and incredibly boring. Victor lying about his identity is just beyond redundant at this point, why does he need to change his name and pretend to be someone else if his bf has no knowledge of his past in the first place? Its not like he anticipated Madison to show up out of the blue nor anyone else he knew because for all he knew they were all dead or unreachable. Strand building the same community just like Madison with the 1-dimsional goal of "helping people" is the exact mentality in Season 4 that led to the fall of the stadium and then later on, Virginia enslaving the group. Nothing is learned, they keep making the same mistakes so it all feels so contrived.
I also found it completely stupid how Daniel and his soldiers barge in and Daniel doesn't take the shot to kill Troy. Why not end it right there? Daniel and his men had the element of surprise, they could've easily won the firefight. But no. Troy is protected by the script smh. Also, one thing that always bothered me about FEAR post season 3 is how often the characters point guns at each other but do not bother on pulling the trigger. Every plot point is needlessly dragged out and while there are interesting ideas, its always wasted by the writing that is the equivalent of a bad soap opera. I want to see how it ends but god this probably the worst season of the series next to season 5 and its a shame because its the final one too.

I was kinda looking forward to these last episodes after watching the first 10 minutes I realized..I don't care what happens to any of these characters now that Morgan is gone. You would think the last 6 episodes would of sparked something in the writers to make better content. Sadly it hasn't..
FEAR was actually the first show in TWDU to go all out with the subtitles. In season 3, when Daniel returns in '100', the entire episode is in Spanish. I can't say this one bothered me too much but, then again, I'm just so damn happy to have Kim Dickens leading this show again. This is what Chambliss & Goldberg's season 4 should've been from the start if they had to ruin the show's momentum. There's still plot holes and incredibly convenient solutions to problems (like Troy's men showing up to kill all the walkers after Madison & Strand barricade themselves) but, alas, I've grown to accept things like this.
Madison kind of seems to be leaning back into her old self if the promos are any indication. The whole, "Because I have nothing to lose Victor," line really feels like the character I love so much. They've got 5 episodes to wrap up this thing in a bow so maybe they'll impress us with a good resolution. Lots of callbacks to season 2, which I really appreciate. Maybe Chambliss & Goldberg finally watched the first three seasons during their off-time. Always love the rant & reviews James!

100 is my absolute favourite episode... but then... I understand and can speak Spanish. Besides that, Ruben Blades is terrific and it's just a perfectly self contained episode... like a short movie. Even someone who'd never watched the show before would be able to follow the story line.

Victor Strands alter ego was really lame and that hair was just to much. Suddenl Strand has flipped from the big D evil strand to a softy. That whole thing was just weird. I'm so glad this is the final season. I realized my biggest problem with this show is nobody is consistent, their characters change every season. I would like to know how Troy survived, she hit him in the head twice and he was about to drown

Here’s the thing, Alicia clearly isn’t dead it would be stupid to drop all that info in ep1.
Troy however, is clearly just trying to piss Madison off plus why would they put Alicia as a title sequence at the end of the trailer if they were just gonna kill her off screen in the first episode of 8B.
@@McKnlghtNot to be that guy, but that wasn’t actually a trailer. It was a highlights reel, showcasing the cinematography done by David Morrison.
He made a similar one for his work in 8A, that included spoilers such as the death of Grace. That one wasn’t uploaded until after the mid season finale already released. His new video for 8B wasn’t meant to be uploaded until after the s8 finale. It got released early on his Vimeo by accident, and was removed shortly after. But before it got deleted, people downloaded it and began spreading it around.
Another thing worth pointing out, is that the Alicia title card for the finale, shown in the aforementioned video, is actually just a modified version of her S6E07 title card. So instead of making a new one entirely, they instead just reused and slightly altered an old one, and in this altered one she looks more disheveled, and is surrounded by zombies. It was also leaked early and we weren’t meant to have seen it until the finale released. With all of that in mind, I think what it’s actually possible that Troy was telling the truth.

Good points in your review and critique of the writing. Not sure how much time has passed since Strand became Anton, but learning German and speaking it perfect seems pretty unlikely. But given Strand is a professional con artist, he would be the one to pull it off. But it just all seems silly. This last season has more sides pointing guns at each other and talking than any show I've ever seen! What happened to Daniel? He's been so neutered as a character. Hes the one who could've came into the room in the final scene and shot at least half of Troy's dudes by himself. SMH. I will finish the series finale, but just would like to see a small bit of interesting story.
Okay, so for me… Strand- annoying and unnecessary, yes. But at least they somewhat stayed true to his normal MO. Pretends to be something he isn’t to get by in a new situation with an “out” strategy like he makes for himself . Strand came in with this MO and I’m okay with them continuing it. 🤷🏻♀️ Madison- where did Kim Dickens acting ability go? Not sure bc she’s usual a good actress across the board. Klaus and his father- eh, I’m okay so far bc Victor Strand’s hubby is sexy (sry I’m a human female😂) Daniel- okay with bc it’s typical Daniel and he acknowledges his beef with both Troy and Strand. The pacing was meh, Troy’s screen time was 😘 and his words about Alicia were unbelievable and he better be lying! 🤬 The daughter scenario has me like wtf 😮 So all in all, I’d say a 6/10, which is better than most of 8B. Maybe Troy thinks he killed Alicia, but since she’s survived a Walker bite who knows?

I really loved Fear from season 1 to 4 and even John Dorie's and Morgan's storys and characters, but season 7 and 8 are really mediocre...
If they had brought back Dave Erickson, it would have redeemed itself. We don't "get" these show runners because they have NO talent.

The one thing TWD taught me was to pay attention to every detail. There is nothing there that's not of importance. With subtitles you can't watch the show. If I wanted to read...I'd read a book. I think that's why I didn't enjoy the DD show.
I was baffled at the actual horse shit on my screen 🤦♂️ the trending pattern for these last two seasons has been so bad. Let's just get real. The only reason most people watch this show is so they don't miss out on any of the overarching walking dead storyline. It's like the makers of this show. Just check out whenever they feel like it and feed us this absolute garbage. I couldn't even make it through this episode without cringing at the horrible acting from the new characters and the woman who plays madison. The most brain-dead part by far was when Daniel and the crew spawned out of thin air. It's not that it happened it's the way they presented it. The whole episode and these past two seasons have felt like a low budget soap opera 🙃 🫠. The know true walking dead fans will watch no matter what and the keep playing with us like they have all the time and money in the world. People will get tired of this eventually. High hopes for the Rick show because fear is officially dead... it's been dead. Trully embarrassing 🤦♂️💀💀💀

Once again AMC spoils what gonna happen! That is exactly what ruined The Walking Dead final episodes last year announcing Dead City and Daryl Dixon spinoff shows! Troy coming back didn't feel very schocking and AMC last week posted on Instagram with on the cover😑! We knew he was coming back like 2 months ago. AMC Needs to try to make sure leaks dont get out may help a little with the fans likening the show maybe?
I honestly thought this was decent. Good, but not great. Expectations for Fear are low, so being moderately solid is a big ask lol. This show likes to have sort of ridiculous premises like A German tourist community utopia, it's in the DNA at this point. Only 5 more left and we're done!

Imagine you are like 8 years (or more, I'm lost in FTWD timeline) into apocalypse and you can afford to make schnitzel for totally random guy with infection? 😂 Alexandria had problems with food even they had animals, their own crop and Hiltop.... And Madison got dumpling soup (I'm sorry if this is not correct translation, but in my langauge it's how we call it) in apocalypse? They are literally in heaven, I would not move from that place ever and I would defend it with everything!!! 😂😂

This show is a total disgrace and shouldn't even be in The Walking Dead Universe, the worst mistake they ever made was killing Nick you kinda don't come back from that, not just the fact that you killed him it's the way you killed him to go through all the things he went through to get killed by an idiotic little child that you end up killing anyways later on down the line who served no purpose in the story honestly this show serves no purpose in The Walking Dead universe I hope they don't try to tie this in to everything else and then you one up that and do something even dumber by killing Travis off and then Nick's girlfriend who was pretty much irrelevant to the show most of the time I don't even know why she was a character she could have been killed off several times but instead they would rather just leave her story open ended and use her to direct episodes, no wonder the show sucks you got people that can't even act directing. If you ask me every character that has been on this show has been ruined somehow they even managed to ruin Morgan's character and Dwight and sherry there were so many things that were just far fetched Even for a show that is sci-fi there was some pretty ridiculous things being done and the show runners are garbage, This is by far the worst one out of the whole walking dead franchise I like tales of The Walking Dead better than this crap How are you going to kill a main character off screen one as big as Alicia I hope amc learns from this and doesn't ever put out a show this crappy again

Sorry you don’t like VICTOR STRAND, but he was always one of my favorite characters. I have to preface this with I bailed about Season 4 so anything the character did after that I can’t comment on. LOL.
First and foremost I love the talent of COLMAN DOMINGO. He’s an outstanding actor.
Second, I’ve always liked the moral ambiguity of Strand. I feel in an apocalypse everyone isn’t going to be a complete hero and while you are literally trying to survive you’ll partner with the devil you know.
I think we all have our fav characters for sure. And I love love love the actors - I hope people do not take I do not like the actors - it's just the show runners/writing they have done since S4 I have issues with. Thanks for watching Dankwa!!
It's just kind of bizarre that he's a good guy one season then a really evil bad guy the next, then he's Mr. Daddy nice guy. It's too far fetched. Negan's arc was a lot more believable.

this episode was another awful one. Doesn't make any sense. The most glaring one is Troy and his group get outnumbered 3x over and they don't kill them. Great writing yet again from these muppets

How did you not know that? It's been known throughout the entire series. They were trying to get to his boyfriend, Tom, in season 2...and he ended up dying from a bite. Have you not seen the earlier seasons?

Alicia is still alive, I don't think they give her such a character development and mayor position for being killed so easy.
I really hope Alicia returns alive. This Alicia Madison reunion has to be and if the show ending with Alicia and Madison leading the new PADRE I think that is the perfect ending for this show.

If I'm gonna read a story, I'll grab a book.and the fear sucks (the writing), still.glad its coming to an end.I will fess up, that I'm gonna see it thru.but in November, got another Sheridan show coming out.bass reeves.I'll like that better, for sure.too many subtitles in (especially last 3 episodes) daryl Dixon, but twice the show compared to fear.

this show is absolute trash. Just terrible acting and storyline. Walkers, bad guys, good guys always showing up at just the magic moment. madison passing in and out like alicia. exactly how long are those tiny oxygen tanks supposed to last? if this was a huge time jump after 12 or so already years that kid wouldnt have been alive pre apocolypse or old enough to know anyone.
Is this georgia? texas? california? louisiana? how do so many people know how to navigate without gps? how long does those damn batteries last in a walkie? how does the hotel have electricity?

The problem is the writers just dropped all of the previous cast members out of the sky so abruptly. Also ruined the one surprise everyone would have been excited about. If you are going to bring Troy back from the dead why ruin the suspense? They should have scrapped the padre storyline in Alicia’s last episode and started the arch of getting everyone back together at the beginning of this season. As of now they don’t have enough time and everything is rushed. The writers did all of the characters a disservice by changing their personalities around. I’m not going to hold my breath but I hope now that they abruptly inserted characters back, they can get the story back on track. I doubt that they will since it looks like they just gave up.
The writers somehow (and has for several seasons) think that back-n-forth personalities is the going thing
People want to believe you can just wake up and be a total different human. Just like that. You can't.

There must be some deep dark problems going on behind the scenes. I’m thinking maybe they had some super big budget cuts. It just doesn’t make a ton of sense.
