Thanks for coming forward and speaking out for the rest of us! You could not have been more truthful and concise in the straight facts you have put forward…. Thanks again from Perth W.A!

What happens when they ban fishing and there is another attack? Ban swimming, snorkelling, diving, surfing etc? Honestly they have no idea. Hope your message gets out there? Well said!

Well said. People who fish should not get the blame. It I'd the sharks world in the water and we are the intruders.

Bang on, straight from the source. You’re exactly right to say, they were already there before the fisherman. I used to live in Perth, moved to syd and man…the amount of sharks on the coastline here is crazy, more times than not they’re there before the fisherman. I work along the coastline for conservation, trust me when I say, we have a healthy population of sharks along the coast. I’m very strong against culling too, don’t even get me started on that 🥲
I feel so sorry for the man, and his family, it could have been avoided if he chose to swim elsewhere. Even if the fisherman weren’t there, sharks would be around.
Keep up the tag and release, it’s such a good system, it keeps us AND sharks safer

Don't know how much longer I can tag for before the hole state cops a ban..

@@frontlinefishing416 I feel like education is lacking so much about its purpose. The whole general population is pumped negativity and fear about sharks and the sheep can’t see past it. If they actually educated the public openly and showed what happens maybe that would change the general populations attitude, which would decrease the fuel to urge a ban

I naturally get sceptical when people post videos like this but you're bang on. You clearly know your stuff (I agree with your behavioural analysis 100%) and while sharks have an incredible sense of smell 1 mullet sitting out the back of the surf isn't bringing them in from out wide. A much bigger slick would be left behind from a school of tailor feeding on baitfish in the surf..

That shark attack at little bay in Sydney didn't look like a mistake.
It looked more of an attack than a mistake to me.
Also I don't blame the fisherman who were fishing there it just one of those unfortunate freak incident that happen at little bay.
I'm a regular there at Little bay since 1997 spearing fish, 3weeks ago I was there when father n son drown.
All I can say its not anyone fault or play the blaming game. I know the risks when I enter the sea and what dangers that comes with it.
Ya'll stay safe be mindful of your surroundings at the beach and have fun. Nothing will stop us from loving the ⛱ beach swimming 🏊‍♀️, 🏊‍♂️ fishing 🎣 or spearfishing etc...
