- So yeah 😅this is my new aquarium and cabinet. I really can't believe I bought this but I've been imagining this tank being here for many months and that time has finally come. This is an ADA Cube Garden 120p (120x50x50cm) or (48x20x20in). Its around 270 litres / 70 gallons.
I really can't wait to get this aquarium set up but I still have quite a few things I need to get together before I can get this tank up and running. Let me know in the comments section what lights and filter I should get for this set up :)

Wow that’s a dream tank and I have a perfect spot for that haha! I would get 2 chihiros vivid 2’s! I see so many good things and they look just like ada solar rgb with the customization ability! George farmer and green aqua have said great things about them! I have their regular rgb and love it! Great videos as always and can’t wait to see how you scape it!
I wish to buy an ADA tank someday when I get my house but right now I'll have to set up my 150 gallon just finished setting up my 100 gallon a few days ago and I do have to agree setting up the tanks is the most exciting part.
For the filtration I can suggest the oase biomaster 600 whit co2 in line diffuser and lighting twinstar...

Nice. Good job Ryo- you won’t regret it. ADA asked IAPLC top 7 what our favorite ADA product is in interview- I said this tank. Hands down. Looking forward to the updates!

Go with ADA superjet filters I have the 20th anniversary es-600 limited edition really shiny for my 60h and es-1200 for my 120h tank. Been using this beast forever. Occasional motor cleaning but no complaints. The best filter for growing bio bacteria.

I know the chair has to roll a lot better now with those rollerblade wheels. Those cheap ones they come with tend to lock up a little sometimes and make for a rougher roll.
Very nice job. I got my tank through Custom Aquarium here in the US. And most of my other product is from the US. I will be building my own wooden stand which will be stained red oak. My drift wood is local sycamore root which is soaking now waiting for the tank.

For the light, if you want to go all out then Solar RGB is the best but if you want something similar with a little less price then 2x ONF Flat One + 60cm will be the best too.

Hi Ryo, if You can get Chihiros ViVid 2, don't hesitate and take two for this size! It's great type of light, similar to ADA Solar RGB but You can customise colouration and sun rise / sunset. I bought one in February for £230 plus custom fee £50 from AliExpress. Maybe You can get it cheeper. Good luck and as George Farmer saying "Keep on scaping"!

Yep, I think 90cm and 120cm are the best sizes. 60cm is the best for beginners starting out I feel :)

I just purchased one of these ADA 120p tanks and they beautiful and extremely well made. I also purchased a 120p sized ADA garden mat to place underneath it. However, my mat was oversized and I had to trim it using an X-Acto knife and a straight edge, but the end result is not as straight and perfect looking as your mat. Did you have to trim yours to size and if so, how did you do it? Really enjoying your content. Thanks!
Hey, thanks for your comment. You need to use a brand new blade to get a clean cut but it can be quite tricky. I was lucky for my 120p tank though. The guy who made my tank cabinet cut the mat for me.

Do you have a vision for that 120 yet? I never worry about lights / filtration until I have a definite vision for a tank. That stand looks really nice. Clean lines throughout

You should get the Aquael Ultramax 2000 for the filter. Like the Oase, it comes with a pre-filter for easy removal and maintenance without having the need to open up the whole filter
Can’t get that here in Japan. Haven’t seen it around here
You can always order them online just like the Oase models that your country does not carry. I wouldn't worry about them having problems cos these 2 brands make very well built filters. We all know what a pain it is to do our regular filter maintenance and in my opinion canister filters that comes with pre-filter like the Oase and Aquael ultramax is the way to go. If for whatever reasons that is not an option than Eheim all the way! :-)

That is a really nice aquarium and stand! The dimensions of that tank are perfect. I have had a tank with that size and the possibilities are numerous. It has been a Asian biotope tank for two years and later a Tanganyika biotope, had to sell it but now I'm looking for this size tank again. I enjoy your channel very much, keep up the good work.

Yeah, that’s what you get with rimless tanks. But it’s definitely worth it. The glass is also crystal clear :)

You are so lucky to live in Japan! You can buy ADA stuff easily, and you can buy plants easily! In the USA, it is so sad that I have problems buying stuff even I have the money to buy. Go with ADA filter, I have one and worth the money.

Nice. Not too happy about the 5 year estimated life span on that tank. Can you get Beamswork FullSpec LEDs in Japan?
It’s basically the same for all rimless glass aquariums. Even George Farmer is changing his 4 footer after 5 years of use if I’m not mistaken
I haven’t see beamswork led lights here yet.
5 years is crazy for those prices, a tank like that should last a lifetime.

If you are looking to save money on lights, Hygger has full spectrum lights with many features... I use all Hygger lights for my planted tanks. I found them to be durable (have dropped a few in water or on the floor, and they all survived!), they grow plants really well, and Hygger's pricing is very attractive. Of course, with that gorgeous tank you just acquired, you might just want to save up and buy "the real thing"... :)

I did not plant the pinnatifida on the substrate. I tied it to the driftwood. And I started trimming after 1.5 months from set up

Greetings. How do you keep ricefish during the winter? I just started keeping them outdoors this year, and I want to make sure that they survive the approaching colder temperatures. Do you add heating, or can they hibernate in cold waters?
We just leave them out in the winter. Less feeding/hibernate as you mentioned. And we put an acrylic board on top of the mini ponds.

I got the new Chihiros WRGB 2 for my 120cm and I'm loving the light. Especially as it comes with built in Bluetooth controller. So my recommendation is WRGB 2 from Chihiros! :D

I have a Chinese kessil . The light is so strong I had to raise it as high as I could. Gives a cool glimmer in the water. I e got an aquaray on a 10 gallon. Have had the fluval full spectrums which are now the 2.0’s and they grew anything.
