Exactly! Right now we can either use the Apple silicone case with a good camera button, or a leather case with a crappy cutout. There’s no good leather option, which sucks. I’m sure someone will figure it out eventually… I hope.
Got my 16 pro max and the first time buying a genuine apple case and I got the same as you grey silicone and my god I love it, yes it’s probably not got as good of drop protection as something like Torras cases ect but honestly the apple one is amazing and love how the camera button isn’t recessed
I meant phone.. got the 16 pro max.. got the Lumen $50 case… Ive never had a problem with any of the cases.. but maybe if he doesn’t like his .. I won’t like mine? I’m putting my phone together now.
I would absolutely avoid the silicone case this year. I have it on my 16 Pro Max and it dropped from a outdoor table to concrete. Not only did the case chip, but it also chipped away enough to where the phone itself got scuffed on the rail. All from a 2-3 foot drop.
Cap this case is fantastic and highly doubt the 16 series would take visible damage from a 2-3 ft drop (even naked), unless you threw it at the ground.
I ordered this case, because it's one of the few that actually has a camera control button. But I agree, I already know it won't be perfect, but it's better than nothing, I guess. PS, great video on the case and thanks for sharing.
Alternatives - Otterbox Lumen (my personal favorite and what I use), the apple clearcase or beats case, and the Spigen Ultra Hybrid T in Frosted Black or Clear (make sure it has the 'T' )
Un sure it doesnt come with camera protection? I picked up one for £12 with a built in protector which works great and fits each camera / sensor perfectly
I recommend the Pitaka cases (but here only the full protection ones). They consist of aramid fibers and are very durable, protective and don’t wear down over time!
Has anyone else noticed that the bottom of the phone doesn’t line up with the speaker holes and charging port perfectly? Like I have to push hard on the phone to make them line up, but when letting go it misaligns again.
@@jerry123456789101112 yup, an official apple silicone 16 pro case on my 16 pro. The case seems to fit perfectly, but looking at the bottom of the phone, the holes are not aligned properly. Maybe only 0.5mm off, but it’s clearly visible, and pressing the bottom of the phone realigns it temporarily.
I have a 16 pro max with the yellow silicon apple case. I’ve been using these since they first came out. I’m very happy the fit is perfect it’s comfortable and the great thing is the yellow no longer retains dirt or oils so they color stays like it was at purchase. My biggest issue is why does apple make the sides of their phones so slick. I’d prefer no case but the phones are just too slippery for that.
I would definitely recommend the Caudabe Sheath. It's a slim minimalist case that's got a decent texture to it where it is not slippery, but it's not full of friction like the silicon case, a good balance in between. There is a small cut out for the camera button but it's significantly better than the cut outs on the Mous cases. Best of all, it is rated to a 6.6 feet drop as stated in the previous iPhone lines. Not sure why they did not specify it in the iPhone 16 line, but Caudabe has a good rep nonetheless
DO NOT RECOMMEND! I cracked my 16 pro’s screen on day three using this exact silicon case. It was the kind of fall the old apple leather case would simple brush off. These cases simply don’t protect your phone. Also the black version isn’t black, it’s like a dark grayish blue. Disappointed the second I unboxed it.
