Anna Coddington I think you're an amazing artist and I love your voice and music and the fact that you're in with this bunch who put some of the best kiwi music out there, just shows how great you really are :)
Thank God they finally put this video up on UA-cam. I'vebeen telling friends overseas about it for months! Garden is sublime - easily for me the best Kiwi song of last year. I can obviously take no credit for it's creation, but it's one of those very special songs that makes me proud to be Kiwi.
I am in awe these talented musicians, not a note out of place and building to a point where you can only be disappointed as it finishes. Love that voice Anna, you got honey in your pipes girl!
Sends chills down my spine every time I hear it. Especially poignant on the other side of the world, in strange gardens, lands with strangers, different light, different smells.
The entire arrangement and build of this song works so beautifully. There is a subtlety to the backing instruments that really makes the most of Anna's breathy voice and natural style. I've listened to the video three times back to back - an absolute FMP triumph.
Went to the Auckland Town Hall (2008) and the Aotea Centre (2010) gigs both gigs were great but the Aotea Centre gig was totally awesome, standout, some very talented kiwi musicians.
Just read your comment Sep 2018 almost 8 years to the day since the first one. Personally I haven't had a minutes peace since. I was 17 nearly 18 when it struck and my girlfriend got pregnant soon after. We bounced back and forth with other flings on the side but always came back together and loved our son together. Thousands of aftershocks rocked Chch all thru her pregnancy and during his first two years of life. They travelled to Germany to live for a while and my son learned a second language. Skype kept our relationship functional but I missed them both so much I went a bit mad. Now we are just friends and she has a new man. The music keeps me going. This comment took too long to write
Love this soo much...gets more and more relevant as time goes on......

Anna Coddington...wow. I hope she makes it to the US someday soon. Her voice is reminiscent of Alison Krause.
