SO well executed. I love the modest, yet super-functional size. The brick detail around the perimeter (even under the cabinets) is brilliant. Well done, Olaver!
@MatteoManzi The clients may well have gone bigger with their design but were restricted by the size of the block (land). You may know that Brunswick is one of the 'ring' suburbs of Melbourne City central. It's period housing includes grander family homes, two-storey terraces and more humble, timber cottages like the one seen here. /Because of the proximity to the city, land and house values are high - as seen also in Sydney, and to a lesser extent in the state capital cities of Brisbane, Adelaide and Hobart.
This is a house the family will enjoy living in. A restful, peaceful, quiet calm will sneak up on them. It's the windows and their position. The windows. Great job. A restrained monastic haven in busy buzzy Brunswick.
@@serpserpserp Yes, it is a small family home. However, there are too many ideas slotted into such a small space. Walls and cabinets are not integrated and don't share the same colour - marking them out as numerous individual objects - and somewhat cluttered. Plus, too many different materials which tend to break up the reading of the space. And, those exposed rafters make the place look messy.
@@hman9581 count me among those who think it's great. Fun, casual, easy but beautifully detailed and appears to be quality. And unlike many architect interviews in their work, Emlyn comes across as genuine, unpretentious and tuned in to what his clients want. Nice.
The space looks breathable, calming and as if it’s always been there.
Too many things going on.
Great renovation & plus with the presentation without background music is such a bliss to watch.

Finally someone in Australia who chooses normal square footage, and it is also a well-executed project. Bravo.

Haven't seen something as beautiful as this project in a while! Everything in it's right place. Perfectly shot as well, good job!

Design for and of functional spaces. It's what I like about this channel.
This was really stunning and well designed. Really enjoyed this. Thankyou
I love the warm feeling of the bathrooms / ensuites
Clean, peaceful and elegant.
Such a beautiful home! I love the colour palette; it feels fresh yet natural at the same time.
I love the green, timber and white combination with the subtle brick in the kitchen
Beautiful project
Absolutely beautiful!
This is so much the feel of what I would like to do my home in Denmark. Any tips on finding someone just like Olaver here?
Sehr harmonisch und stilvoll eingerichtet. Vielen lieben Dank.
Aus welcher Firma sind die Blumentöpfe? Die sind sehr hübsch.
🌝👋
Beautiful extension! Very inspiring! Sustainability wise, was it worth to bring Carrara marble all the way from Italy?
😍
What does a reno like this cost? 500k?
Too many things going on.
It's a small family home! Land size is probably 200-300sqm at most so without building up you have to cram in

You seem to be conflating your subjective opinion with fact.
Correct.
