Actually you don't have to be sensitive to the Force to open a Holocron, you just need training. The cultist Yupe Tashu wasn't force sensitive and he was able to open a Sith Holocron.

They were mentioned in Star Wars: Uprising, a game that is sadly unplayable due to the servers being shut down. However, everything mentioned in the game is still canon. Below is a direct quote from Wookieepedia on all we know on the Zann Consortium. (This is the entire wiki page, that's how little we know.)
"The Zann Consortium was a crime syndicate that was active during the Galactic Civil War. The Consortium was at odds with the Black Sun. Because of the Iron Blockade, certain Zann operatives became trapped in the Anoat sector and cut off from communication from their leaders. That situation, however, did not prevent those operatives from continuing with their racketerring, especially against those who once traded with the Black Sun."

Almost everything in Canon is sorely lacking compared to legends.
Well legends has been around for 30 years and the new canon just three so of course the new canon is sorely lacking content compared to legends.
While less specific in their nature and ignoring the holocron of Ergast that taught the inquisitor force walking, Atris herself had a number of sith holocrons that over time corrupted her slightly with the frontal push being from Kreia, and I'm sure there were a number of artifacts in swtor that were holocrons. As I said they're not as important but still worth a brief mention.

Why do people keep saying bane got inspiration for the rule of two from revans holocron. The only thing revan said to bane that even fits with the rule of two is that a master shouldn't have more than one apprentice something bane already agreed with.

Solid list!!! The holocrons are my favorite examples of Star Wars technology. Too bad Canon history hasn't dug any ground yet for the construction of holocrons, but glad Legends has deep knowledge on it for the time being. Maybe I'll craft my OWN Sith or Jedi holocron.

I'd like to start reading all the books to start learning more about both the canon and legends universe because I find your videos so interesting, but which order do you recommend I read them in? Where do I start?
It depends: what era are you most interested in, do you like graphic novels more than books, or do you prefer to read things chronologically? Do you prefer stories on the Jedi and the Sith, none-screen characters, or do you like the main cast from the films? I would say just pick up a book and look for the Star Wars timeline in the back or front. It has a list of most of the novels in chronological order to help you make a selection. It doesn't mention the junior novels though and there is a wide variety of them as well.Two which I think you might like are Jedi Apprentice and Jedi Quest. It also doesn't mention the graphic novels, which in my opinion have some of the best stories found in comics and in Star Wars. My top 5 favorites are Dark Horse's Rebellion, Republic, Empire, Clone Wars, and Knights of the Old Republic series, but there is also Tales of the Jedi, Legacy, tons of Boba Fett miniseries, Jango Fett miniseries, Mara Jade miniseries, and more. I would say read anything of Timothy Zahn's, James Luceno's, and Kevin J. Anderson's. Those three authors really set the stage on how to make good Star Wars books. Good luck!

telling the truth now: Legends had a lot of great stuff and the mess and bad part that people think the most is the same part that legends fans don't like: the post episode 6 superweapons and clones, the clone wars details erros, etc... To be honest all the closed eras (like the old republic, the rebellion, etc) are well written and connected, and the "mess" was in some contradictions that had retcons to help. People need to hate less on legends like they hate less on the new canon and enjoy it's parts (sorry for my spelling)

In Legends, Humans originated on Coruscant. The reason humans are seen on so many planets are actually threefold; the first, is that compared to other species, humans breed like crazy. We're like rabbits in Star Wars. Second, we're the most adaptable as a species. We're not a "species of hats" like the others are; individual humans can have different attributes compared to other humans, where as other species, while not exactly alike, are more likely to have similar attributes as others of their species, barring training and education, of course.
And the last one is the restraints of film making. It's much faster and cheaper to just put a human in a costume than it is to put a lot of prosthetics and body paint on a human actor, and it's far more comfortable as well. Due to this, humans in Star Wars are the dominant species, though, with CGI at its current level, they can make more varied individuals in the movies than they could even in 1999. And with video games and animation, it's much easier to create aliens than it is in live action.

In legends the human homeworld is widely believed to be Coruscant but some scientists believe Coruscant was too cold to be the homeworld of humans.
Also before the discovery of hyperspace by humans many were send on sleeper ships to colonise planets such as Alderaan.
