These clips are rough, ragged...invaluable & indispensable for those(like me)who have been fans of the Bonzos recorded output for some 40 yrs., but missed or never had the chance to see them live. Bravo & a big Huzzah! to whoever posted these...
Yep, it was only about ten years too late for me (and growing up in Texas), but too late nevertheless. I remember reading about the Bonzos in the music press, but never saw their records in even the hippest shops.
Legs is certainly a monster... great take on dog breath..by Zappa. One of my top five we favorite bands... Don't miss the Rutles..thanks for the post..
thier style of musical comedy transcends generations and appealed to me from a very young age, thanks for the videos these must be rare not even on their dvd documentary release, absolute genius, favourite album is keynsham because of how strange it is, their most underrated album
"Fuzzy dice, bongos in the back, my ship of love is ready to attack." It's from Frank Zappa, either Uncle Meat or Cruising with Ruben and the Jets, IIRC. The two bands, the Mothers of Invention and the Bonzos, admired one another.'s work. Not hard to see why, though the Mothers were thoroughly American in influences, and the Bozos so very, very English.
When They sound like the Mothers They are so Good and funny. However i find them a bit Boring when they sound like Beatles. I think it s a reason of their séparation. The rutles was perfect for That.and again it was humour

I was born...30 years too late...and on the wrong continent. Very sad!

The Bonzos were wonderful.
Deep down inside, all of us are the Urban Spaceman, eager to explore.

He manages to sound more "Lennon and McCartney" than the Beatles ever did!
Jajajajaja jajajajaja jajajajaja Vivian is “ Paul” since late 1966
Some of the best moments of of my youth,I had so much fun with these enchanting people.
Such a weird band. But I really really love them.
Watching these clips make me realise what a powerful unit they were as a live act. I would I could have seen them live
the lyrics are indeed from Dog Breath (In The Year of the Plague)
That’s because it’s Billy Shepherd...
Wrong. Billy shepherd or whatever his name is. doesn't exist, get over it. That's Tony Kishman.

Just when you think you've gotten all of you can out of their albums and CD anthologies, there comes something like this.
They're Davoli amps & speakers - popular in the UK around that time....
xD That part cracks me up!
Rahsssan Roland Kirk used to play the recorder with his nose, too.
Though incidently the amps are called Electric Aunt Jemima
Frank Zappa recorded a song with that name with the Mothers of Invention.
At 2:21, Legs Larry looks like Peter Green!
3:19 is sending me 💀

The man with the long blond hair is 'Paul McCartney'.
