    I don't comment often. Miyah seems like a decent girl. I did interior decorating for some years. I accidentally got a job in a furniture store selling. Im not going to say people in the industry are fair or decent. Its just a different kind of snake pit, but listening to you, I think you would be successful in sales. Once you're selling furniture it kinda naturally turns into decorating the whole room and potentially the house. Then you will meet real designers and network with them. Maybe land an assistant to a designer, or gain your own clients while on the sales floor. Its not easy and competition is fierce, but I think you have what it takes. Just remember to pick your battles because drama will happen. Anyway, its just a thought. Take care.

      Yes, she would thrive in a sales position especially if she had someone experienced giving her guidance. Miyah, you would be an amazing interior designer! Like you said @waitaminute2015 it's a snake pit in business - just a different kind. But being creative is very fulfilling, especially if you have a thick skin and let the competition drive you. She also said she liked playing sports which means she does have that competitive side, an asset in business!

    • @13_13k
      @13_13k 11 днів тому +2

      I agree with you. There is still life in her eyes but she has deep sadness and needs to be able to trust someone that she can drop the facade and let it all out and know that person won't betray her or abandon her. Unfortunately she won't likely find someone like that doing what she's doing.
      It's hard enough for everyone to find that trust in someone that isn't in that line of work.
      I hope she gets out of that work and finds happiness in her life

    • @13_13k
      @13_13k 11 днів тому

      @lionessvibes --- like anything else that people do to themselves that they know isn't good, she has to want to make the change, she has to be disgusted with herself and make that decision and no matter how hard it may be, stick it out and get through the tough parts.
      I've been through it. I left a good job at 47 years old making around $80k a year because over 20 years of working for other people wasn't doing it for me. I moved from the Bay Area back to L.A. after 16 years and started working for myself. After a year I ran out of money and instead of giving up and going back to work for done company, I knew I could do this and I chose to live in my car to save money. I did that for over a year getting a motel room one or two nights a week to shower and sleep in a bed. Work got better, more consistent, and things worked out well.
      You have to want to succeed and believe in yourself.
      She can do it. She has to want to do it.

I felt I was ugly and wanted to be the pretty boy who had all the girls in high school. I see my pictures before I transitioned and I was a very attractive young guy, almost a pretty twink boy. It hurts me a lot I never saw that back then instead of fkng almost 20+yrs of my life and now dealing with trauma from it. Great interview.
    She has life in her eyes which tells me there is a chance for her to change her life and that she may do it pretty soon. Doing this interview could help her get off the streets.
    She needs to find someone who she can trust that isn't taking advantage of her and who isn't going to abandon her. It's hard enough for anyone to find that and impossible in her line of work. She needs to make a change soon.
    I worked as a manager DJ and doorman in a topless bar in Los Angeles and at an all nude club in Waikiki back in the late 1980s early '90s and we had a roster of 80 girls working and I've seen the ones who had never danced before but were desperate for money, then the ones who start out to make money while they are in school, some are some are not . Then there's the drug addicts, the prostitutes, the hustlers, the scammers, the ones who get stuck because where else are they going to make that kind of money for four hours of drinking dancing and flirting? Then there are the ones who start out okay and just having fun making money and they meet the wrong dudes and then get caught up in the game and I would see the girl change for the worse. They're turning tricks doing bachelor parties, doing a lot of drugs, drinking a lot more just looking tore up. I would tell some of them that they've changed for the worse hoping to wake them up but it's their life and they make their own choices.

      Humans need sex. Point blank. It’s part of our DNA, our whole purpose of living being is to reproduce, or there would be no life / humans left. So why is it inherently wrong for women to make money selling sex? It’s likely she is not abused and forced to do this, she gets paid well and lives a good life if she’s happy. It’s the world’s oldest profession.....
      Now obviously there’s myriad issues surrounding prostitution as a whole, but to undermine her or anyone as a human with no worth cause they sell sex, that’s wrong. It’s not implicitly true
