Spiritual Healing needs to be on this
Yeah. There’s so many great blue albums out there. I’ll probably do it if I ever do a part 2:)
Ah jeez.
I came here to see Storm of the Light's Bane hahaha
Isn't it purple?
@@TheJonathanDale Seems to be a couple versions of it. I don't know what it was originally.
For some reason this album didn’t come to mind when I chose the songs, although this is one my favorite albums. We even did a cover for “nights blood” with my band - winterhorde. If I do a part 2 I’ll definitely include this album so stay tuned.
There are so many great blue metal album covers, especially in black metal.
Dark Funeral - The Secrets Of The Black Arts
Dark Funeral - Where Shadows Forever Reign
Darkthrone - Total Death
Immortal - Blizzard Beasts
Lord Belial - Enter The Moonlight Gate
Sacramentum - Far Away From The Sun
I'm sure there's probably more that I'm forgetting.
Yeah indeed. I would say dissection storm of the lights bane is my favorite one from this genre. Which one is yours?
I think I'd have to go with either Storm Of The Light's Bane, or Sons Of Northern Darkness.
Dark Funeral suck
Storm Of The Light's Bane
One of my favorite black metal albums
Dark Funeral - The Secrets of the Black Arts :)
so many classics in blue
De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas, and Wintersun! (although Wintersun is sort of purplish too)
Sifting through my CD's I found more blue metal albums:
Fear Factory - Digimortal
Glenn Hughes & Tony Iommi - Fused
Edguy - Mandrake
Dio - Master of the Moon
Black Bonzo - Black Bonzo
Deep Purple - In Rock
Halford - Resurrection
Crimson Glory - Astronomica
Ozzy - Bark at the Moon
Judas Priest - Ram it Down, Painkiller
Iron Maiden - Fear of the Dark, Seventh son of a Seventh Son, Brave New World, The Final Frontier, No Prayer for the Dying
Mercyful Fate - Dead Again
King Diamond - Abigail, Voodoo
AC/DC - Ballbreaker
Black Sabbath - Dehumanizer
i know so many great blue albums out there! thanks for the list. i need to check some of those out
I'm so happy you included Amorphis - Tales From A Thousand Lakes
Really amazing album!
Yeah that song in particular is stunning. Are you a fan of their later albums as well?
@@OmerNaveh i much prefer their old releases. I like Eclipse and Skyforger though. But imo their best album is Elegy.
Yeah i also mentioned that blue metal albums are oftenly awesome, sad that there's no Fear of the dark.
My favourite blue albums are Nordland I and Nordland II from Bathory. Hail Quorthon!!
Great stuff here. Keep it up.
Thanks, will do!
Ah i totally forgot Winterhorde! Thank you for reminding me!
Such a killer band!
I’m happy I reminded you :) I’ve been the guitarist/songwriter for winterhorde btw for the last 10 years. Did you check out our new album?
Good selection dude. Another master piece blue albums: Seventh Son of A Seventh Son (Iron Maiden), Abigail (King Diamond)
The evidence speaks for itself. Blue albums are awesome. 🤘
weezer⁉️
Far beyond driven
don't know how i missed that one..:(
@@OmerNaveh we are already waiting on next videos)
@@user-hh8ov6co7n coming soon:)
Wintersun needs to be on here
Make a part 2 pls thank you
Part 2 sounds good. Stay tuned
I didnt expect this idea but your right, also thank you for choosing take no prisoners, everyone focuses on Tornado of souls, hangar 18 and holy wars but the best ones are Poison was the cure, Take No Priosners and Lucretia
Absolutely. take no prisoners riffs are so vicious and Lucretia and poison solos are the best on the album imo.
You just want to be different
We also need some purple metal appreciation
Basically Kamelot's discography before Black Halo
Purple deserves some love for sure. Stay tuned.
Pantera - "Far Beyond Driven" should be also in the list
True. I need to do part 2 :)
for a split second before seeing the thumbnail I thought "blue metal" was some subgenre I never heard of lol
just what metal needs, another sub genre...i wonder though what a blue metal band would sound??
🔥🤘🏻ROCK AND ROOOOOOLLLLL🔥🤘🏻
Nice choices...but no "Abigail", "Them" or "Voodoo" from the King???
Yeah, Many more reasons why blue albums rule:) If I do a part 2 I’ll definitely include those so stay tuned.
For Part 2, should include some tracks from Dissection's "The Somberlain" or "Storm of the Light's Bane"
And De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas
For sure. Storm of the light bane is such a killer record.
Wintersun debut
Far Beyond Driven?
Another killer blue album for sure
Nocturnal and Everblack comes to mind from Dahlia.
I’m not very familiar with this band. Are those albums the ones you recommend checking out?
@@OmerNaveh I'd recommend "Nocturnal" - 2007, "Deflorate" - 2009, "Ritual" - 2011, and "Nightbringers" - 2017. The band is called The Black Dahlia Murder. They're a superb melodic death metal band.
Nocturnal and Everblack have blue album covers hence my original comment. If you want a taste of songs from them I'd recommend "What a Horrible Night to Have a Curse" - Nocturnal, "I Will Return" - Deflorate, "Moonlight Equilibrium" - Ritual and "Matriarch" - Nightbringers. I hope you find some songs you enjoy.
They are a treasure of a band. Frontman Trevor Strnad, unfortunately, passed 2 years ago in May. He was probably one of the best lyricists to ever partake in the metal genre in my opinion. May he rest in peace. Also awesome video! And good picks for the songs. Appreciate you commenting back too. Cheers! ( Sorry for long ass comment )
@@td601 thanks man for the recommendations and the kind words. i'll check them out a little bit deeper.
@@OmerNaveh If you do I hope you find something enjoyable out of it. Be sure to let us know with more content. 🤘
@@td601 i will. stay tuned for more content coming soon.
No “Painkiller”?
TSA - Heavy Metal World (PL)
I have that same ESP LTD-1000 NT Arrow. It is super light for a mahogany-winged guitar but is an absolute monster of a metal tool. I use it more for drop tuned stuff but keep it mainly in E-Standard. Love the ESP Arrows (have three others)
Blue Albums rule indeed. Great Work.
thanks man. yeah i'm so happy i bought the arrow. i play it in D standard in my band (Winterhorde) and it has such a great metal tone and so easy to play and offcourse looks stunning. i still like to play my other LTD - The EC1000. it's great for cleans too as you can hear in my clean riffs video.
@@OmerNaveh I am thinking of getting an EC-1000 but with Fishmans. The EC-1000 is a landmark metal guitar and is very durable.
I like the tone of the EC when I play clean arpeggios. That was important for me to have that versatility. Why do you prefer the fishman pickups over the emg’s?
@@OmerNaveh I don’t. I just love the dynamics and versatility of them. EMG’s are the benchmark active pickup in the metal genre and I have several guitars from many manufacturers with EMGs. But I just have one with Fishmans which is another Arrow. So I want to explore them a bit further.
Uh, you forgot the Ultimate blue album, and I mean this seriously, Brave New World. I have always thought of that album in relation to its cover, to its sound.
And Storm of the Light's Bane, and At the Heart of Winter.
Yeah there are many more great blue albums out there. If I do a part 2 I’ll include it :) stay tuned
@@OmerNaveh Thanks! Cool.
Blue albums are the best🤘
For sure. There’s enough gems for part 2 :)
Tristania “ world of glass” Summoning “ Minas Mogul” Thy syns of thy beloved “ Lake of sorrow” Thy Serpant “ lords of twilight “
Purple has some rippers too 👍💪
I’ll check those out, thanks.
I only need 8 reasons. It begins with Fight Fire With Fire, and ends with The Call of Ktulu. Also, of all the songs on Rust In Peace, Take No Prisoners was chosen? It's a good song, but, like, what about Holy Wars? Tornado of Souls? Good vid.
Thanks! Well yeah, The lightening album is one of my favorites too and everything about it, including the iconic blue cover is just top notch. As for take no prisoners: yeah it’s not holy wars or tornado but I really like it as well and just felt like playing it.
@@OmerNaveh its a good song. I just cant play it lol 🤣
Unquestionable Presence by Athiest is a pretty awesome blue album too
indeed
