“I can’t believe they’re gonna make me leave, they’re gonna make me walk away...” Me when Jon’s Heel turn was being written as a joke after getting me excited about his future
Hey, I LOVED The Shield; I LOVED Dean Ambrose - one of the best guys in the business. But given Jon's past experience and the type of matches he was known for, man, I'm sure he, on his own, could've come up with a real good storyline. WWE's so dumb they don't realize that their best storytellers are right out there in the ring, especially the experienced ones from the indies like Moxley.

Ronald Cole that doesn’t matter at all lmfao. He was still over like crazy. @@ronaldcole6101 He never disrespected Austin, you mark. He maintaned fabe, stuck to character, and made Austin mad for about 30 seconds. Jon had an amazing year since this interview. Topping the PWI 500. Had a strong reign as AEW World Champion. The reinvention of himself to his roots has done wonders for his career. He was the most complete member of The Shield indeed. Can’t wait to see what else he does for AEW and New Japan.
I'm proud of Jon for taking charge of his career and saying "enough is enough". He immediately worked to better himself the moment he left WWE. He was ranked the Wrestler of the Year by Sports Illustrated. Outranking names like Adam Cole and Seth Rollins.
Thank god he left for AEW, he is gonna be one of the brightest stars over there. Moxley probably one of the best right now in the world. been a fan since his Indy days before wwe. Did some crazy shit, he paid his dues and deserved much better then what wwe had in plan for him.
Technoblade Fan but it’s also because he has experience in czw- those matches were not that bad honestly, im always surprised at the fact that he lost that amount of blood and continued to fight-
I've always been a fan of his, love his in ring work and personality. I just hate the way wwe treated him when he came back from his injury. I see why he had enough
Of everyone in the Shield, I liked him the best. He had more personality in his little finger than the others showed during those years. I also loved when he, towards the end with WWE, looked at Seth and asked why Seth didn't help him. Then he "remembered' their feud. Classic and funny.
@@joetheman8550 yeah aside from okada maybe, osprey and omega have no personality or charisma they can't cut promos they would fail miserably if they were exposed to a global audience and thats the problem with indie darlings they can wrestle but they have a bland character and they can't tell stories, wwe is a diffrent beast they wont make it there so yeah wwe dont deserve them.
Man, I respect this guy; Jon Moxley is a good example of how wrestlers and actors need to stop taking bullcrap roles in shows and movies just for a lot of money when they already have a lot of money and when a decent amount of money is offered somewhere else This helps bring money and attention to other companies who actually treat entertainment as art and not just a way to make easy money
I love the fact that Ambrose is happy. He was uncomfortable, suffocated in WWE. Now he can do whatever he wants to do. WWE,you lost a gem. I respect him that he had the guts to leave WWE with so much self confidence. Hats off.
How WWE chooses to keep Michael Cole over JR just shows they don't know talent. Michael has always sucked at ring commentary. Take him back to the interviewing the stars and being punked for who he really is.
When I start watching WWE again back in 2016, the only new wrestler that I like the most was Jon Moxley (when he was known as Dean Ambrose). All the other new wrestlers were so forgettable. I feel as though that WWE had no idea what to do with the wrestlers and it began to feel ridiculous. 1) Seth Rollins heel turn was so bad 2) That whole dog food gimmick with Baron Corbin and Roman Reigns was a joke 3) Rey Mysterio is treated like a punching bag, and I'm sick of him in a match against Andrade. (I feel so bad for him because I was a fan of him). 4) Bray Wyatt's gimmicks are confusing The only positive I could say about WWE, is that the entire WWE female roster is the best I have seen.
Booking matters a lot in how a professional wrestler looks. When Moxley was in WWE and had feuds with Styles and Joe, he was clearly out shined by their star power based on the way he was booked. Moxley in AEW looks like he can actually feud with Styles, Joe, McIntyre and look like a main eventer doing it.
NYCrazyRob if you listened to the podcast then you would know why it couldn’t be like this. Even Steve said something about it, hopefully they will be able to do another one that won’t be controlled by WWE
@@darrylwallace2428 Mick Foley said it best "You will never really be a star until you do something that is going to get you fired. If you fail, well then you go someplace else for a while until you make a name and your mark and they will be begging you to come back." If Moxley had done that... he might have been a bigger star in the WWE, or done all of this a lot sooner, but no, he was a good boy, backed down when he was being challenged and insulted and showed himself to be a milquetoast lacky for McMahon and lost pretty much all respect in the back, so... storylines about Roman's cancer and getting his butt kicked by Nia Jax is what awaited him. The problem with wwe is that they have only tried pushing roman throughout the decade, it was good at the beginning but later it became boring plus reigns was no good at mic and wrestling too. Rollins made the right choice by listening and following triple h, its like he have made a deal with the devil. Dean was always the hardest one out of three, wwe couldn't recognise what he is truly capable of but here he is working hard again plus he is enjoying now. Unlike wwe, aew doesn't revovle around one guy.
I don’t know why WWE has to make everyone have a gimmick like why can’t they just be themselves? I mean WWE is interesting with the gimmick and stuff but c’mon, I now see what Jon/Dean means, and now I think of WWE as a whole different perspective.
At one time I viewed Mox as the Shield member with the most upside, since Reigns was still a million years away from being a strong mic man or ring general, and Rollins hadn't yet adjusted his style to something a little safer. Vince had other ideas, I guess.
If he didnt leave WWE,he would ended like CM Punk, with his passion for wrestling dead.So its okey for him to go to AEW and take a bit realxing storylines where he feels free.He will comeback to WWE eventualy dont be mistaken, but for now he is good in AEW

...did you even hear a word he said?he won't be back in wwe, thankfully. he "burned bridges" in ever going back.listen to aew debut promo, he's referring to wwe, he couldn't breathe or his njpw promo after winning us title, thanking them for his freedom, again, referring to wwe, no freedom. his passion would have died. plus, he was wanting to go back to czw (death match/ultraviolent) rather than wwe.

I'm happy that Jon Moxley found himself happy again and how he has been killing it in AEW and Japan, ever since he left WWE.
This dude is really interesting to watch when he's pissed would love to see him streaming video games.
Do not compare Jon to video games.
Thats why we have the two time back to back 1993 1994 blockbuster video gaming champion

@Jerry Thomas what are you talking about? This is his real feelings about working for a company
I'll admit I never liked Dean Ambrose but him leaving was the best thing since I love him now. This is why people leaving wwe might have a chance to be better then they were and he's one of the best to do it.
Only stuff I liked was his stuff with Regal in FCW... glad he's free

WWE made a big mistake on making Jon leave. I see lots lf comments in WWE's videos saying. We want Ambrose back.
Carlos Zamora the bright side is WWE is not the only way to gain a following
Mox is too edgy for PG TV anyways. WWE doesn’t deserve him.
If that was 22 years ago
Jon had an amazing year since this interview. Topping the PWI 500. Had a strong reign as AEW World Champion. The reinvention of himself to his roots has done wonders for his career. He was the most complete member of The Shield indeed. Can’t wait to see what else he does for AEW and New Japan.
Jon: You’re can’t fire me. I quit. *walks away*
Vince: Wait! You can’t quit. Because YOURRREE FIIIRRREEDD!!!
I'm proud of Jon for taking charge of his career and saying "enough is enough". He immediately worked to better himself the moment he left WWE. He was ranked the Wrestler of the Year by Sports Illustrated. Outranking names like Adam Cole and Seth Rollins.
Wasn’t a fan of him in wwe found him a bit cheesy, but damn now he’s electric, can tell he loves wrestling. Shows how bad wwe is
I liked him when he was solo performer. Savage and funny.

This is just so sad to hear, but he is so damn right. But I'm happy for Mox that he is back at enjoying what he is doing.
Mox is the man!! So glad he’s now able to be free and live up to his full potential.
Basically everything he said is the reason why I do NOT watch wwe anymore
Honestly it sounds like an issue between him and WWE
Thank god he left for AEW, he is gonna be one of the brightest stars over there. Moxley probably one of the best right now in the world. been a fan since his Indy days before wwe. Did some crazy shit, he paid his dues and deserved much better then what wwe had in plan for him.
This comment has aged like a fine wine I imagine
Crazy how he says he’d rather be in czw (which is literal death match wrestling) than in wwe. That shows how unbearable wwe can be
Q Sings yeah czw is hella torture omg
Karylle Mist at least they give their wrestlers health insurance and creative control

Wwe suck
He is the definition of loyalty
I still say to this day that the Dean Ambrose heel turn should've been like 1991 Jake Roberts heel turn
Whose High School’s Cafeteria was that in the other room
I wish they did more with him, he was hands down my favorite wrestler once he left I stopped watching wrestling
That's why Kenny omega doesn't come to wwe
True
He will be use as a glorified jobber or mid carder at best if he goes there.
WWE doesn't deserve talent like Kenny Omega, kazuchika okada, will osprey
Thank God Kabuki left immediately
@@joetheman8550 yeah aside from okada maybe, osprey and omega have no personality or charisma they can't cut promos they would fail miserably if they were exposed to a global audience and thats the problem with indie darlings they can wrestle but they have a bland character and they can't tell stories, wwe is a diffrent beast they wont make it there so yeah wwe dont deserve them.
Jon moxely is the new cm punk
Man, I respect this guy; Jon Moxley is a good example of how wrestlers and actors need to stop taking bullcrap roles in shows and movies just for a lot of money when they already have a lot of money and when a decent amount of money is offered somewhere else
This helps bring money and attention to other companies who actually treat entertainment as art and not just a way to make easy money
Guys I suggest you listen to the Chris Jericho podcast with Moxley's episode, he goes into further detail. Great podcast btw
WWE just ruined everything. Even every single nxt superstar who come to raw or sd.
@Raka Darari WWE ruining Shinsuke Nakamura was the last straw for me.

I love the fact that Ambrose is happy. He was uncomfortable, suffocated in WWE. Now he can do whatever he wants to do. WWE,you lost a gem. I respect him that he had the guts to leave WWE with so much self confidence. Hats off.

That's the difference between doing it for passion and doing it for money.
How WWE chooses to keep Michael Cole over JR just shows they don't know talent. Michael has always sucked at ring commentary. Take him back to the interviewing the stars and being punked for who he really is.
I don't think it's Michael that sucks, I think it's the fact that Vince tells him what to say word for word every 2 seconds.
Cole is a great commentary when he’s not in Vince’s ear. You know he’s done a lot longer too.
i appreciate moxley's honesty and bravery opening this up.
1) Seth Rollins heel turn was so bad
2) That whole dog food gimmick with Baron Corbin and Roman Reigns was a joke
3) Rey Mysterio is treated like a punching bag, and I'm sick of him in a match against Andrade. (I feel so bad for him because I was a fan of him).
4) Bray Wyatt's gimmicks are confusing
The only positive I could say about WWE, is that the entire WWE female roster is the best I have seen.
Wrestlers today talk about WWE like early 90’s wrestlers talk about Jim Herd era WCW.
Pretty sure we've why!!!! He did at this point
I am sad we will don’t hear “lunatic friend “ ever again 💔!
Lunatic fringe
Jon Moxley is amazing vince never knew how much talent he has
NoLaKazi because Dean Ambrose was terrible. His booking was boring, stupid, and just didn’t interest a lot of people. Now he can be himself.
As a fan for many years I was done with Dean Ambrose in WWE after all that shit. Happy for him that everything is fine now.
Meanwhile Seth Rollins still with his stupid catchphrase burn it down*
B O R I N G
"Tell em how happy you are that your friend's cancer came back"
His interviews as Moxley and his interviews as Ambrose make him seem like two different people

0:38 to 0:43 since AEW allows talent to work with other federations Jon Moxley back in CZW a few times is still something I hope to see
I can’t stand with WWE these days! Jon Moxley tells truth and AEW is his true home!
He did the right thing hate this guy in wwe but now he is one of my favorites especially his match against kenny omega was amazing
I wish he would have been more like this when Steve Austin interviewed him.
NYCrazyRob if you listened to the podcast then you would know why it couldn’t be like this. Even Steve said something about it, hopefully they will be able to do another one that won’t be controlled by WWE
I said the same thing. Hopefully they’ll do another one someday because that first interview they had was just awkward.
@@darrylwallace2428 Mick Foley said it best "You will never really be a star until you do something that is going to get you fired. If you pull it off and the crowd is behind you and into it, you're gold and they will exploit you for all they can and you'll be on top. If you fail, well then you go someplace else for a while until you make a name and your mark and they will be begging you to come back."
If Moxley had done that... he might have been a bigger star in the WWE, or done all of this a lot sooner, but no, he was a good boy, backed down when he was being challenged and insulted and showed himself to be a milquetoast lacky for McMahon and lost pretty much all respect in the back, so... storylines about Roman's cancer and getting his butt kicked by Nia Jax is what awaited him. I am glad he is out of there, but he still hasn't won me over.
Rodshark75 fuck off dude , wwe shit on this man and he had a right to leave , I’m glad he left and I’m glad he’s on top of the world in AEW , Vince can fuck off
Rodshark75 but we’re talking about different eras? Mick Foley’s era wasn’t Pg but Jon’s was. Plus wwe is scripted, so you can’t really do shit. Especially him, because he’s really familiar with hardcore wrestling.
I’m guessing every superstar on the roster has the same feelings apart from the really big Fish who can pull more of the shots.

Gotta love this man. He's f*ckin underrated🔥🔥🔥
Dean is the new CM Punk, this is what we all been looking into towards Jon Moxley.
I'm happy for Jon Moxley!!! :))
I don’t know why WWE has to make everyone have a gimmick like why can’t they just be themselves? I mean WWE is interesting with the gimmick and stuff but c’mon, I now see what Jon/Dean means, and now I think of WWE as a whole different perspective.
you know that a company is abusive and low quality when he can't decide wether he'll return wrestling in WWE or CZW
Give 8 years maximum
Bruh what... he isn’t going back to wwe u heard the guy wwe doesn’t care about wrestlers opinions about storylines and they’re gonna stay ignorant and he feels happy there anyways
GoldGravity you only named the ones that were considering the bigger group or the most popular (i forget the term-) What about the smaller people, who don’t get that many title shots? who constantly gets fucked over? obviously they didn’t care about how Jon would feel with his heel turn. I will give you the fact that they care about some wrestlers opinions, but only the ones they’re pushing.
...did you even hear a word he said?he won't be back in wwe, thankfully. he "burned bridges" in ever going back.listen to aew debut promo, he's referring to wwe, he couldn't breathe or his njpw promo after winning us title, thanking them for his freedom, again, referring to wwe, no freedom. his passion would have died. plus, he was wanting to go back to czw (death match/ultraviolent) rather than wwe.
Imagine someone from the aew crowd calls him *dean ambrose*

I missed Ambrose in wwe. I liked his character.
Jon seems like he's happy now, even if he never wins the aew title, he's in a better headspace, he has creative control finally, of course every wrestler wants to be the face of their company and at the top of their division, but he seems like he doesn't even care about that right now, he's just loving what he's doing at the moment and I think that's great
