Hi Ian, many thanks for your comment. We are curerently in the process of editing a video that shows the various paramaters that can be changed in the set-up options on the MFT, which should be uploaded to UA-cam in the next week or so, and after that will be producing a video that shows how to pair the MFT with a laptop and download test results, etc. So watch this space and thanks again for the feedback.
a quick demo on storing readings gathered on the 1730 would also be of use, as it takes quite a while to step by step read through the instructions. i personally find it much easier to watch how its done rather than read it. cheers
Megger said: Save time and get non-trip loop testing down to 8 seconds with the MFT1741+’s new Loop Impedance testing technology! This innovative ability also increases the accuracy of results as it prevents the RCD from influencing the total loop impedance value. But Megger never said non-trip loop testing down to 8 seconds only happens on 3Lo. 2Lo is still at 15 secs. Also the increase in the accuracy of results as it prevents the RCD from influencing the total loop impedance value only happens on 3Lo. 2Lo has still got the RCD uplift. No wonder Megger says 3Lo is the preferred setting!!! I wish i could do 2Lo to get quick and accurate readings........a third wire is always fiddly when testing behind accessories like spurs, cooker switches, 20A DP switches and even ceiling roses.
Hi, On the L-PE why do we need 2&3 wire lo tests, when they are the same? also The L-PE hi test is exactly the same as the L-L/L-N test (apart from the fact one test uses L2 & other uses L3) or am i missing something here?. Confusing and not explained in the instructions.
Question re Z ref and R1&R2 test functions: Can you confirm that one cannot take a R1+R2 test before first taking the Zref (Ze) I take it the MFT needs this info before it can calculate R1+R2. Or can it calculate R1+R2 independely from knowing Ze? I hope this makes sense.....! thanks in advance.
Yes all very good, missing one thing that puts me off a purchase, 2 green and 1 red LED type lights on the display would be a great advantage for a quick verification of polarity as on the old Kewtech KT42 loop tester, it greatly quickens up the job of testing, at a glance or from a distance, thax.

You measure R1+R2 in the dead test sequence? Why do it again on a live circuit? Confusing

سلام. من یه دستگاه. میگر. Tdr میخوام. بخرم. چه جوریه میشه. به ایران. یا خیر
shouldn't he be saying line and earth leads connected at 8:48
he says "live and neutral"
Maybe he is not just out of high school
Can you do the new 1741
How about Type S?
Podrían traducirlos?
قیمت آن چند است
I watched that to find out about the touch voltage indicator!!!!!!
