Always loved how Ronnie C kicked the stick off stage.
Professional stage acting at its best... keep everyone safe.
So hilarious. You only need look at the two of them to start laughing, but then when they start prancing around...and the leapfrog bit...I died😂😂😂. Their talent, timing and energy was amazing. Best comedy duo ever!

So so funny. One of my all time favourite sketches of theirs.
This sketch has everything - great slapstick and wordplay.
The first three minutes. Physical comedy/slapstick, in real time, in a multi-camera set-up - with no dialogue - is incredibly difficult. These two make it look effortlessly easy.
I love Ronnie C's energy in this. He can't wait to dance...brilliant rhythm.
Love this. I used to go and watch Morris dancing in London. Entertaining. The two Ronnies are amongst my favourite comedians.

That one lone laugh at 4:11 has always got me. It's quiet so you almost miss it but it always cracked me up that one person in the audience found that line hilarious.

Don't be so critical. They only bet the odds, and half actually are morons. Watch any "Jaywalking" sketch from the Leno Tonight Show. "In which country do you find the Great Wall of China?" "Probably most likely China." "In which country do you find the Panama Canal?" "China?"

Ah, the good old days when comedy meant being funny.
When did these times go away?
Now comedy means swearing and talking about sex and swearing some more.
You ever heard of an irish comedian called Dave Allen . He was an alternative comedian before alternative comedy was invented . Talked about all the things you described as being unfunny but with one difference . He was hilarious. he was an influence for many alternative comedy performers . His sketched can be a little samey but his monologues are brilliant .
I agree wholeheartedly. Todays comedians seem to rely on filth and swearing as they don't have the capacity to be funny. I am certainly not a prude or holier than thou and I can swear like a Swansea docker if I get mad enough! But there is a time and a place. I cannot help thinking that these modern comedians think they are amusing us by shock tactics. Nobody is shocked by swear words today and they are therefore unfunny and a little pathetic.
Bring back more old shows like the 2 Ronnies and their contemporaries and let's have a good, clean belly laugh!!!!!!

Brilliant. Comedy genius from the Ronnies No complaints from the Morris Police yet, and that's how it should be. I'd love to see this brought back to life by a current Morris side.

M&W lost their mojo when they got greedy and initially lost their champion writer (although he did come back) but by then the audience had past them by and much became repetitive AND Eric was also getting sicker and couldn’t work as hard. TTR seemed to stay on top longer? Maybe because RB wrote a bit of his own stuff as well as using outside writers? And he knew when to retire on top.
Is the lady the same one with the buck teeth in The Plumstead skit?
She appeared in several sketches in the Two Ronnies. Her name was April, but I'm not to sure of her surname.

Strange how there are no comments complaining about how racist this is as there are on the Short and Fat Minstrel Show sketch. There should at least be an avalanche of complaints from Morris dancers about how their culture is being demeaned. I suppose the professional complainers only have one topic to moan about.
