I pulled up to a new Signet 350kW Balanced charger with my Q8 etron and started a session, within 5 minutes the session stopped with a red light on my charging port. I could not restart the charging session trying every possible starting method except calling EA. After several tries to get charging I moved to another stall that was known to be working. The car would not start charging on a different dispenser. After leaviing and returning home I found an error message buried in the charging menu of the MMI. After clearing the error message and driving to a different EA charger the car posted the best charging experience ever. Started charging @ 30% SoC and the charger supplied 170kW well into the 60's SoC. @ 90% the Q8 was still pulling almost 90kW and showing 240 miles of range. Check Vehicle > Charging in the MMI for error messages if the car will not start a charge.
I have a new Q8 eTron and when I use the 110 volt household socket overnight (8 hours) it does NOT charge, at all, not even a 1%. Is this normal? The light is flashing green but when I check the charge after the entire night, it has not increased, AT ALL!!. This is my first EV and I am really confused about this. Not sure if the vehicle has an issue with the charging port. When I speed charge (DC) outside the house and use the other charging port, it seems to work well, but I am worried about the charging port on the passenger's side. Any thoughts?
2:37 what about if have a industrial socket at home with the 240v cable ? Can you use this as a charging station at home. Since you said Audi recommends as a last resort
You will only have the charging port on the passenger side if you have the Premium Package (I’m in Canada, they may call it something different in the US) or if you have the Charging package which comes with the faster onboard charger and the additional charging door

How do you open the passenger side charging port? It does not have a button to open.
