That sequence at the end with the Kingsoul becoming the Voidheart was incredible! Just one of the many details in this animation that highlight the cinematic weight of this scene.

I really love how the Pale King is presented as this stark ethereal figure that we never get a clear picture of here. The shot of him ascending the stairs in the distance is beautiful.

I do wish you had included the dream nail in the beginning; its unique colored glow could've been quite cool
I was expecting the Knight to pull out the nail and it would ignite like a lightsaber
Plus he actually fell because of the gate sealing force, I assumed!
To create a being without a will is to create nothing, the Hollow Knight had a will, always had a will, the will to walk, to will to save, and the little Knight, it had the will to follow the cries of hollow knight, the rest of the vessels had a will to fight to take vengance, to escape.

So it loops… vessel after vessel, each taking the place of the “original” hollow knight. A cycle, isn’t it? Sounds familiar…hmmm

Oh God, such a breathtaking work! The sound, the frames and lightning are gorgeous. And most importantly, there is that specific Hollow Knight vibe. Definitely deserves more attention.
I never thought Hollow Knight series would be a good idea (just because it is absolutely perfect as a game and turning it into another form of art would ruin something important). But your animation was the first time I thought HK series can actually be fine, especially in this style.
That was legitimately unsettling.
The section with the void heart was breathtaking!
Immediately at the start this animation made me think of Coraline and now I genuinely want a Hollow Knight movie from Laika.
Those sequences were genius by the way, I love the alterations you made to fit a 3D cinematic environment more, having the knight leap from a huge stack of skulls to the platform in an attempt to reach it, and the blinding light from the Pale King was aweing.
Then of course, the Kingsoul turning into the Voidheart was a beautiful sequence. I also love how you can see the void churning behind the Knight's eyes in the end, it almost feels like tears welling up within it.
The voice lines scared the fuck outta me ngl

This is one of my most favorite cutscenes in the game, and you animating it makes me want to scream from how beautiful this is. Outstanding work!

This animation is just breathtaking ! I love the style so much, and the way the Knight walks and struggles. The textures are really different from what we're used to in the game, and it gives a whole new experience of the scene ! Also it reminded me a lot of Little Nightmares II with how the characters carry themselves and the jump to the bridge. Thank you for all the work you put into this !

Hollow Knight, father goes after the king and catches him. Our little Knight continues on his way, ignoring him even though big brother is catching up with Hollow Knight.

Wow this is insane! I'm a 3D animator, myself and I genuinely wasn't sure if this was 3D animation the whole way through. I think it was but some of it looked a lot like puppetry. Incredibly well done!

I feel like with that potential, you can be an animator for 3D games, maybe Hollow Knight 3D alone would be awesome already. I love how you change the Knight interaction with black egg to some child sees a mirror for the first time, instead of dream nail it like it knows what to do.

Love this animation. You have to wonder. Did the pale king forsee this end? Dod he know thay the void would come for him? Did he know that a lord of shade would come? Who knows. All we know is that he felt that no cost was too greay for his kingdom.
