The Detroit Red Wings have signed prospect Andrew Gibson to an ATO for 2023-2024 and an ELC for 2024-2025, out of the Soo Greyhounds in the OHL.

Excellent news, Gibson was a player who I was glad we drafted and his progress has been terrific this year. Even better that he's still only 19!!
I follow the OHL Saginaw Spirit, who just defeated the Soo Greyhounds in the second round of the playoffs, but it was more difficult than I expected to do so (I expected to win in 5-6 games, but the Soo drew it out to seven). Gibson played very well in that series, enough so that I am now looking forward to rooting for him instead of against him.

To get Seider into the IIHF tournament, I suggest locking Yzerman in a room with Seider's agent until they figure out the contract.
...on second thought, considering some history from their playing days, we should also lock Darren McCarty in with them, to ensure Yzerman's safety.
He was good when I seen the Soo play Flint this year in the OHL. He enjoys hitting opponents. Nice move by Stevie Y. Will be interesting to see how the Red Wings turnover their poor defense this year in the offseason.

Sounds so good. What do you think of Wings going after Vincent Desharnais, another right handed D, in the off season? Then on the left we have Chariot, Walman, and Edvinson. Keep Maatta as 7th man and try to unload all the other D on the team right now.
Let´s hope the wings can keep Ghost (on the left and for Powerplay)!

He can’t play in the AHL next year. Too young. He return to the Greyhounds and his ELC will slide.
Will he be old enough to play on the Griffins next season? I think he’ll need another at least half season in major jr.
We need a defensive defenseman to pair with Edvinsson. Maybe this is the guy? We’ll see.
Possibly will ASP will be the second pairing to the initial stages of joining the roster. If he is better than he will be the first pairing with Mo. When? well I guess we anxiously wait what the next step ASPs development for 2024 will be again with Skellefteå AIK then GRG for 2025-26.
Hopefully Albert Johansson will be that guy for us! Seem like a great mature lock down defensemen

Simply enough Albert Johansson's window to make the Red Wings roster is getting smaller.
William Wallinder and Antti Tuomisto still have more time.
Brady Cleveland, not great stats nor a great prospect projection in the first place, still a mystery why SY drafted him other than being an enforcer.
ASP will stay in Sweden and do another year with Skellefteå AIK for the 2024-2025 season.
AJ will be on the Wings roster next year, barring a trade. Cleveland was definitely a head scratcher the moment he was drafted and still is, especially considering Riley Heidt was still on the board. Even with Detroit trading back in the second round he was still available where they picked. If they really wanted Cleveland he probably would have been available in the fourth round. An Augustine, Gibson, Heidt second round would have been a slam dunk.
@@europason2293 There were about 3 more forwards still available past Heights name, Rehkopf, Sawchyn and Lind. Yes second rounders can be seen as odds against making it to the NHL. But all I can think of is Cleveland is related to someone on the Red Wings organization.
