Anyone who works/worked with Fernando Alonso.....knows and evidently says that he is the best they have ever come across. A pure racer. Ron Dennis wanted him back at McLaren. Renault took him back (twice) Ferrari Fans still love him and respect him. Following F1 from the last 15 years, I have observed that its only the British Media - Sky Sports in Particular who show only one side of the coin. Its high time they realize that Lewis Hamilton is not the only driver on the grid. P.S - Jarno Trulli is an amazing guy and was a delight to hear him.

I always liked Jarno a lot. Very quick driver indeed. I like how honest he is about his abilities. I met him a few years ago, very likeable and humble person. Now I hope his son Enzo can go all the way with his support!

Jarno was my first favorite driver when I started watching F1 and I followed him all the way through 2011. The Toyota years were immensely enjoyable, despite the lack of a win. Been waiting for Jarno's Beyond the Grid for a while and was not disappointed. Miss you Jarno but glad you're doing well.
The very first F1 race I watched in my life was that Trulli's win at Monaco. I got hooked up to Formula One since then. Great driver Trulli, deserved a lot more than what he achieved.
The beyond the grid should've amazing vids or even clips of moments of their driver on topic in the background not just their photo there, so it's more fun to watch and to listen to their answers.

My personal favorite Driver for so many years, the only driver who could manage to be a driving wall when someone was behind him. Trulli was always wide as three cars. I loved it so much.

That was an excuse to get rid of him. He was actually even with Alonso for the year. They needed Alonso sponsorship money and obviously he's a great driver too. Australian government was willing to pay millions to get Webber in the Renault and Flavio was also his manager. Trulli didn't have any sponsors and wasn't marketable. In the end Webber went to Williams and Flavio was left with nobody but Fisi

I feel sorry Trulli didn't get one more chance to win with Toyota. I always felt he gave his best performances of his career with that team, shame they pulled out in 2010.

There were rumours apparently that Toyota were looking to sign both Raikkonen and Kubica for 2010. Imagine those two driving the 2010 Toyota. Possible contender maybe?

That's because of Ralf at Monaco. He was right on Trulli until then and potentially could've jumped him at the stops. Also, Jarno Was 2 points ahead of Alonso before he was sacked and had 5 DNFs to Jarno's 2 DNFs. He also had 4 podiums, Trulli had 1 and a win.

It shouldn't be forgotten that Alonso had 33 races under his belt at the start of 2004 and Trulli had 116 races. 2 seasons to 7 seasons. Ultimately, Trulli never achieved anything.

Like I said, it would have been interesting to see the Trulli on Renault in 2005 and 2006.

If you wonder where Jarno's first name come from, it's from Jarno Saarinen a finnish motorcycle racer who died in a race at Monza in 20.5.1973.
