I think that Crown the Empire has one of the most loyal fan bases of all and the reason so many people love them is because of exactly this, having and spreading a significant message.
those are the better interviews in my opinion. definitely sounded conversational probably because they seem to be homies. but it definitely had flow the whole time and got a lot of info out of it so I can't complain at all :)
Crown The Empire: one of the realest fucking band I've come to love. The way described everything from the meaning to this album, the departure of Benn and the band & how they felt about everything. The fact that they are finally putting their heart and soul in this album has made me so much happier to be a loyal fan. A lot of people have already given them shit for their new sound, saying "ughhh go back to your old shit". I love all 3 albums, but the fact that this is them. this is the real crown the empire. I will forever treasure this album as one of the greats. I knew there was more to why Benn left and maybe that's how they realized that shit got real. But as always, I will forever respect Benn Suede and the rest of the boys. But even now, "fans" willl still talk shit about Retrograde and about Benn. Nonetheless, Retrograde will forever outrank Limitless, The Fallout & The Resistance: Rise Of The Runaways, not only for its sound, but for the realness of its true nature
+Rachael Sattler i love the whole album. its a new sound but it sounds so amazing. and them as people have really stepped up their game. i just that fans were more open minded to this kind of change. no one wants to hear the same sound forever but they still sound amazing since Limitless
+NikkiSaysWhut I haven't had a chance to hear the album in its entirety, but I love what I've heard so far. And the fact that it's truly a reflection of them as both people and a band really resonates with me, so I'm sure I'll like the rest of it :) but I agree, I wish people would look at it as them evolving and actually showing who the band really is and what they're capable of, and not just compare it to past albums
I am absolutely in love with this interview. One, because of how long it was... Two, because Nick Major knows what the hell he's doing... And three, how much better I got to know Andy and parts of Crown the Empire from it. Rise of the Runaways is my favorite album of all time, and no album will ever hold such emotional meaning to me, but I'm so happy to know that Crown is finally happy with what they're doing. It will be hard to part with their amazing story telling (as someone who writes novels in their free time, I absolutely loved the story aspect of their albums), but I'm totally stoked to be on a journey with this band as they find themselves and put out music that makes them happy. They're undeniably talented and from what I can tell, down to earth as all hell now, and I'm so beyond stoked to witness this. When I'm older, I'll hand The Resistance to my kids and say, "Hey, this album inspired me to write (the novel I'm writing now), but the band showed me how to grow." Hats off Andy, Hayden, Brandon, Brent, and Dave.
So yeah to everyone who think's their selling out and hate Retrograde, you hate Crown since this album is the most personal one they've done. I'm proud of where they are and I think that it's really mature of Andy to realize at 22 years old what he has realized. Some people never really reach that point in their lives where they realize that what they're doing with their lives isn't the best but yeah Retrograde will definitely be on repeat for a couple months
+Vincent Yanda I'm 100% not comparing them, I made sure I didn't say anything like that at all. I'm just saying that Bryan WAS known for interviewing bands, now Nick interviews the bands.
I fucking love CTE. Nothing in this interview was forced, Andy is such a genuine guy. I'll forever appreciate their music and how real the members are. Sooo much love. ;-;
I love CTE. I met Andy in the crowd at Ufest, and then I met the entire band at Warped Tour, and they're so kind hearted and I have never found one song that I cannot jam to. I really hope I can see them and meet them again at Warped this year, they're my favorite.
I discovered crown the empire in 2012 maybe 2013 reading a one direction fan fiction. The fallout was the very first song I heard, and it's really crazy to see how far they've come since I first started listening to them. they are really the only band that I've been following for that long. crazy shit. couldn't be prouder of them. I couldn't be more thankful for their music. truly helped me through some shit times.
it's crazy to me that a ton of people think these guys aren't big when they had one of the largest crowds at warped. I go to every show when they come to Michigan. Love this band, love this interview!
yo hey this is the first actual interview of Nick's i've seen. dude i like the chill style. which is how an interview is supposed to be. i hope to get into the interviewing game as well and that's how my style is too. LUCKILY. i've never had an interview where i've forgotten to press record yet....(it'll happen at some point tho) however i did get Silverstein's new album name wrong in front of Shane Told's face like 7 times in our interview tho. (hella embarassing. thankfully shane told is nice as hell)
This makes me feel a lot better about the album, I'm open to bands changing but what bothers me is when they seem to just bail on quality lyrics. This album has quality lyrics, even if its not metalcore like before. I love Zero, it's a killer song and the rest of the album is solid too.
So as someone who spends a fuck ton amount of their life on the internet, I run out of data pretty quickly. Also being not the most well off family, my carrier kind of sucks. I have to pause the video to let it load and to get about 1 minute into it, I have to leave it paused for roughly 3 minutes. I'm 8 minutes in. I've been here since 12, its 12:28. This is exhausting but 30 minutes of Andy is most definitely worth the frustration tbh
After seeing the recent events of what happened between crown and Dave, i'm starting to think Benn left for the same reasons. he probably wanted to write music whereas the rest of crown wanted to keep paying someone else to write...
I never would have thought Post Malone could have been the guitarist for Crown The Empire.. That's crazy to me because I love both artists.
I think that Crown the Empire has one of the most loyal fan bases of all and the reason so many people love them is because of exactly this, having and spreading a significant message.
Andy is so nice when you meet him, they're all absolute sweethearts
This is the most chill interview I've seen I love it
It was more of a conversation I guess
those are the better interviews in my opinion. definitely sounded conversational probably because they seem to be homies. but it definitely had flow the whole time and got a lot of info out of it so I can't complain at all :)
3:00 Post Malone reference
Medieval Nightmare you're a lifesaver 😂
Medieval Nightmare thank you didn’t want to go through this shit lmao
u a real one
Sergio Bejar it’s 3 minutes
am i the only person that finds andys voice soothing when he talks???
This is probably my favorite interview ever, it just felt so real ? idk... Nick is such a great interviewer and Andy is a solid dude, I love it
I love post malone I'm shook as if He Auditioned to be in the band

I agree completely! I'm glad there's at least one other person who feels the same way about Retrograde
+Rachael Sattler i love the whole album. its a new sound but it sounds so amazing. and them as people have really stepped up their game. i just that fans were more open minded to this kind of change. no one wants to hear the same sound forever but they still sound amazing since Limitless

+Rachael Sattler exactly :)
I'm a new fan that just started listening to them a few months ago.
I love Retrograde.
Such a great interview Andy is such a nice genuine dude
Eddie Coronado makes sense that he and post were friends, both such genuine dudes
yes he is, and so down to earth
I am absolutely in love with this interview. One, because of how long it was... Two, because Nick Major knows what the hell he's doing... I love this interview so much. Andy is such a solid dude. Thank you for this Nick!

this interview was so real. good job
I love how chill this interview is. It's not 100% scripted and it's amazing
My favorite crown the empire interview ever

Absolutely loved this interview💕
He's so well spoken I love this interview
this was fun to watch. Thank you.
I think Nick just took Bryan stars spot as best interviewer, since Bryan doesn't do it anymore.
Please don't compare them.
+Vincent Yanda I'm 100% not comparing them, I made sure I didn't say anything like that at all. I'm just saying that Bryan WAS known for interviewing bands, now Nick interviews the bands.
JESSiCA L28 Alright that makes sense. Yeah Nick is a good interviewer and it's nice to have him.

this was such a good ass interview, props to Nick because it was just such a natural conversation flow.
I love CTE. I met Andy in the crowd at Ufest, and then I met the entire band at Warped Tour, and they're so kind hearted and I have never found one song that I cannot jam to. I really hope I can see them and meet them again at Warped this year, they're my favorite.

Andy is such a tight dude, I really would wanna have a jam session with him.
Their set was amazing yesterday in Cincinnati!!!!❤️💙
it's crazy to me that a ton of people think these guys aren't big when they had one of the largest crowds at warped. I go to every show when they come to Michigan. Love this band, love this interview!

My first concert was Selena Gomez 😒
Mine was BMTH
My first show in this scene was warped tour 2013. But I've seen everyone from billy Ray Cyrus to big time rush
+Renegade Swift I would kill to see SG I love her
+Shelby lol it was way back in 2010 when she was still on Disney. I had fun though
my first concert was State Champs. I really wish it could have been been CTE or ADTR
21 Pilots/Crown The Empire tour!!! That'd be a dream lineup!!!
I swear I've never laughed so hard then when he was explaining Mercury and did the nightmare before Christmas shit
TEXAS YAS!!
O.M.G TØP AND CROWN NEED TO TOUR TOGETHER RIGHT NOW I WOULD CRY FOREVER HOLY SHIT MAKE THIS HAPPEN PLEASE
I freaking died when he brought up 5sos 😂😂😂
That conversation about twenty one pilots made me cry
13:49 I was def thinking about 21 pilots too
This is so cute omg 🙈💜
Kinda funny that Nick is saying his first concert was The Used. Cause the first time I saw The Used was when I was introduced to CTE 😂
Bro dubstep is huge rn bigger then it ever has been
“the low taper fade meme is still MASSIVE” ass comment 😭🙏
if crown the empire and twenty one pilots go on tour i will fucking die.
That'd be so cool

This makes me feel a lot better about the album, I'm open to bands changing but what bothers me is when they seem to just bail on quality lyrics. This album has quality lyrics, even if its not metalcore like before. I love Zero, it's a killer song and the rest of the album is solid too.
Andy is cool as fuck
when they mentioned twenty one pilots i got super excited
at 15:48 his hands shadow kinda freaked me out

ugh so sad.....I'm crying rn bc my mum won't let me go

After seeing the recent events of what happened between crown and Dave, i'm starting to think Benn left for the same reasons. he probably wanted to write music whereas the rest of crown wanted to keep paying someone else to write...
