Favourite decks. Was using a Kamelpro 7-ply that I love (shoutout Montreal all around) but recently switched to the latest Lucid deck. Love the nose/tail shapes and the pop on them is unmatched (tbf, I’ve never skated a Berlinwood, but I’ve definitely skated some very high quality decks). The guy who makes them is a very nice guy and luckily for me, lives in my city (saves the shipping costs). Do yourself a favour, buy a Lucid and throw some high quality grip, trucks and wheels on it. They’re shaped like a fingerboard but feel closer to a real skateboard in practice, it’s a different experience. Kamelpro 7-ply was also a game changer for me but I’ll have to try one of those Blackriver 7-plys out eventually. Goddamn though… $$$, and for what? I don’t own 6 skateboards… love when people are down for trades. Get to try something new-to-you for the price of a board you ordered online, realized you didn’t like the shape of, and never even used. I’ve got a nice pristine square nose/tail deck that never gets used that I’d kill to trade for an egg deck or something like that. When you find a shape you like, stick to it like glue.
