I just bought a 2023 CRF250RX and put the Red Moto 300 kit in it. They also have a fuel tank that has the same capacity as the stock muffin top tank. You just need R shrouds after tank install, makes it as skinny as the R. Put a flywheel kit and Tokyo mods ECU reprogram. It is what Honda should sell off the floor. It's an awesome trail bike and I can run it on the Moto track also. I'm 52 so the 450's are not as fun anymore. This one is perfect.

As to why the dealers or American Honda won't do it... I'm pretty sure that there are Federal consumer protection laws that require the manufacturers to keep parts available for 5 or 10 years, I'm not sure exactly, for anything they sell directly - off the showroom floor. It is costly to the manufacturers and I'm sure that it's a reason that we don't see stuff with small production runs. Another reason , from personal experience, is that a lot of the dealers have little or no actual passion. Many of the dealer owners that I've spoken to give me the impression that they would be just as happy selling kitchen appliances.

Buying a new bike then having to dump thousands in the suspension and computer mods sucks. Yamaha nailed it with their app and they already have great suspension. All they need to round the WR or FX package out is a 350. There is no hope for Honda except their bikes will still be around for decades cause they don't wear out.
It's a very smart move 👌 but it's a shame it took an Italian company to sort out a Japanese company, also I am so surprised they didn't do a 350 kit they are the most popular in the wess enduro series, and I wouldn't go pass one as a race bike.?
WESS enduro riders are all riding 300 two strokes, not 350 four strokes 👀. Enduro GP has all classes and the last two years the overall Enduro GP title has been won by a 300 2 stroke(Beta) and a 250 4 stroke (GasGas) 🤷🏼♂️
@@bigals.ktms.9937 WESS is now called the Hard Enduro World Championship… and in that, they all ride 300 2 strokes. Back in the first couple of years of WESS there were a couple of faster rounds that some riders would ride 4 strokes in, but most still rode their 2 strokes.

300 is very interesting. The Pro package is what customers really want. Just look at the Euro bikes with bling packages from stock. But we are grunting Men, and men want more all the time, or you will be called a girly man by your friends lol. So maybe its the right bike, but will it sell as a 400....hmmmm
Blame it all on California! I talked to a Yamaha Factory Rep and he said California is the largest market and has the most restrictions. So what ever California does dictates (Yes like Germany a few years back) what we end up getting.
Honda builds only sx motorcycle because it doesn't care of "European enduro", she only focuses on US market Red moto builds enduro starting from honda sx in Italy Someone in US would actually enjoy an "European enduro" Honda: wtf
I never said 450 was too much!. I have a bored 500, 525, and 650. Now I'm building a 1000 twin. I want 6 gears and over 100 hp for the mountains I ride. We need to cruise at 90 and have the torque to climb up goat trails. It is 2023 people, where are the light, well suspended bikes with gobs of power that would change the earth's rotation if they got traction. I don't want some buzzy slow to accelerate bike at 80 to 90. I want to be able to ride over the mountain and cross the desert with ease at 90 to 100, and these bikes won't even come close. My ktm 690 came closest stock, but I had to do a lot to make it better offroad. There is nothing like having 80 to 100 hp under you on a light, well suspended dirtbike with 6 gears. But for now, you have to build them yourself still, and this goofy computerized world is not getting any closer to producing a production motorcycle close to what I want.
Do not think this is the best business move for Honda... go to a small country like Italy that already has Great manufactures and machines; Beta,TM,SWM,Fantic,others?.... So believe they will be imported everywhere soon....unless EPA,etc is an obstacle? You forgot about BETA AND TM GUY! They make all sizes and are competitive or better than most others...
Not quite. RedMoto are the official European dirt bike distributer for Honda and are their official Enduro race team. They have just put together different modifications for the bikes and put them together in house.
Honda, Kawasaki and Suzuki need to do this. The 350 ktm is the best selling bike on the market from what I understand. The Japanese should compete with the Europeans for market shares. I would have bought a ktm but I didn’t like the price and I didn’t like the way the bike felt under me. A 350 is probably the perfect bike. It only makes 5hp less than a 450. 450s are too much bike.
Id also like to see 2 strokes make a comeback. They're simple and effective. Not everyone can afford a 10k bike. We don't need fancy fuel injection or any of that BS.
Not only $1500 for the upgrade 300 kit but another $1500 for labor. That’s 3k extra we should not be spending just for upgrades that could already be available.

I built my CRF450RX utilizing alot of Red Moto parts, but XPR and Bundy Built helped with engine and parts, and Art of War have me on Showa A Kit suspension and valved it and LOVE IT! It's a bad machine - have Athena GET, Akropovic exhaust, Hinson Clutch and other things like Pro Wheels Racing wheels, dirt tricks and Regina primary drive and more! I plan on keeping it and my 19 TM Racing EN300ES 2t forever so put money into them...don't need the latest and greatest if you have good part selection - I care more about my technique, skill, experience, and fitness, and these two bikes certainly help me progress while having fun doing it. Disclaimer - these sizes don't work for everyone! I'm 250lbs with little body fat, so these sizes work better for me cause quite honestly my weight makes the bikes work extra hard! lmbo
father ordered the 300rx special edition arrived with a broken transmission.
i Have Sherco 300 4t super great bike, higher idle than other bikes, but its almost impossible to stall, great for hillclimbs , and for woods both, and less likely to overheat than a 450-500
i used to have a 06 crf for 6 years, doing a lot of enduro trails with it! i was always lacking a bit of power, but this made me a better rider i think. Nowdays, if i had to buy a new honda, coming from an husqvarna and being from italy, i would go anyday with crf300rx! The godly frame and suspension with this bit more powerful engine HAS to be the be the perfect mix! I hope i'll be able to try one of the them one day
right on, thanks for sharing brother!
Go waste the extra money. I will still beat you on my 2-stroke YZ250. :)
I would like to know how to fit a fuel light or gauge to a Honda CRF450RX 22. I wonder if the fuel pump/fuel level sender off another model such as the 450L would fit.Any suggestions?
They look sharp!
We get the CRF 300 and 400 RX in Spain. There is a slightly used 300 in Girona for 7800€ that I am tempted To buy.
right on, sounds like Redmoto sells to the neighbors too then. Thanks for sharing
@@dirtniron i v ČR se dají koupit 300RX a 400RX
Also in the Netherlands too!
Good cuz I love my XR400R
Does it have the Abus/Euro style frame lock bosses? I hope so!
It seems you never heard about the Italian brand "beta", they have a 350,390,430 and 490
i had a CRF450X with a street legal kit on it,most fun i ever had,was going to put street tires and rims but didnt have the money then sold it,cant ride anymore, got hurt bad at work, super bummed seeing these bikes.
Just wish Honda Suzuki Kawasaki would bring back the 2 stroke!! Imagine a 2023 RM 250!!! Wow!!
I would buy a KDX 300...
It's stupid for them to finance the further development of two-strokes when in 2035 they won't sell much anymore
@@mg_tv5448 2 strokes are already developed, and up to 2035 we still have 12 years to go, usualy each model wont stay so long. They still produce e stroke for mx, so they just need to adapt them for enduro...
I have a CRF400RX and i can say its great . I dont know how i can import it with me to USA. Its good in tide trail here in sweden and of course i 90% using it on motocross track
thanks for sharing, I bet its a good overall bike. take it apart and crate it.. should be possible..
Not really a Honda guy but I agree the bikes are super cool. I got a few friends that could really use them. I’m still waiting on Honda to do a cosmetic makeover on the XR650L and I don’t mean white tank/fenders and black rims.
i disagree, never change the xr look
@@metallicman711 You have the right to disagree and I’m ok with that. Can we at least agree on a little bigger gas tank?
imagine honda making 300 2T enduro. it’s game over
OMG
I want that bike eather one. I wish we had this in the USA !
The 400 so nice, I want that
Italian made Betas have a great selection of 2 ts and 4 ts. What's wrong here?
If Honda made a CRF350R I reckon it would outsell the 250 and 450 combined.
Why cant honda make a 300 2 stroke?
I built this bike back in 07 out of a 07 250 xcf-w and HT 315 stroker kit, had to send engine to CA. in an ice chest. Greatest bike i ever raced and got me a Championship that year!
Hats off to Red Moto !
They need a new xr400
i have a husky te310 and sherco 300. 300-400 liquid cooled 4t is the spot.
I really wish they'd make a new xr400, there's a gap in the market for a reliable lightweight dual sport with good suspension and enough grunt. the 300L is fine and all, just make an option with the rx suspension. maybe i should go for a crf450rl, theyre corked to the gills so powers more like 350 level and people are puting heavy miles on them just fine.
also i got quoted about 15k out the door for a new husky fe, i would be way too cautious not to screw it up, rather than focusing on the adventure
Its honestly sad that Honda doesnt just give their riders what they want. V4 sportsbike, 400cc enduro, middleweight twin, LIGHT Africa twin.
How about just make a 350 like the Belgium bikes
Čau Rado, to je naprostá bomba, jaký krok udělala firma REDMOTO. Úžasna myšlenka udělat změnu v kubaturach a přijít s něčím takovým. Objemy 300 a 400cc mi přijdou fantastické a říkám si pojďme to zmenit napříč celým segmentem značek... YAMAHA, KAWA, FANTIC, SHERCO, atd. Naprosto se vším co si tady řekl souhlasím. Jde vidět že si srdcem Evropan a baví tě sledovat, co je nového na starém kontinentě a jaké jsou trendy. Moc mě baví tě sledovat a fandím ti. Měj se Lukáš

Honda would have a sure thing win 🏆 if they brought 2 strokes back. 125 n 250 mx line and enduro line
Did these people make the cre back in the day?
come on honda!!!! i always ride red but i hate my 21 250rx and considering a ktm now
Ive been saying for years they need to make a new 400. I like the 450 but they are just to much for the trails.
Hey I’m 12 about to turn 13 and I’m looking to get my first dirt bike what cc would I need and what’s the best brand to get
what do you want to ride? for Motocross probably 85cc 2 stroke but if you want to ride trails and get something to learn on the best would probably be Yamaha TTR125
Like one for bills I don’t have any trails
Hills
What would be the best for hills
Yes a 400 I would love.
I was hoping Honda was going to go in between & make a 350.😪
The japanese manufactures always fall just short on what we all want. It's so damn frustrating. 😏
yea, seems they are bit too conservative..
Many options now in USA...Ktm,Beta,Sherco,TM. All make GREAT 125-500 4 t&2t engines...
We can hope that hits all showroom floors. It would be a great hit.
Does anyone have any feedback about how these kits perform?
Buying a new bike then having to dump thousands in the suspension and computer mods sucks. Yamaha nailed it with their app and they already have great suspension. All they need to round the WR or FX package out is a 350. There is no hope for Honda except their bikes will still be around for decades cause they don't wear out.
that 400 sounds fun
I like what the Italians have done with that Honda.
@@Mockle07 your talking the hard enduro wess stuff .
@@Mockle07 so what's the rounds called that Billy bolt and the rest use there 350 for.?
@@bigals.ktms.9937 Billy uses his 350 for Endurocross (the indoor races) and occasional national level normal enduro (not hard enduro) races but you’ll very rarely see Mani on a 4 stroke and I have never seen Mario, Wade, Walker or Gomez ride a 4 stroke anywhere 🤷🏼♂️
I love 450 pull I ride my 883 Harley like a dirt bike lol 😂 no joke
Can’t go wrong with this I don’t think!
Good news 👏🇺🇸
I agree
300 is very interesting. The Pro package is what customers really want. Just look at the Euro bikes with bling packages from stock. Not one single Japanese bike even has the parts for this, let alone from the showroom floor ready to go. I think the 400 is a great idea, and would suit more people for sure.
Only if we could buy in South Africa it would be awesome
Couldn’t do a 350 huh?
Just bring back more two strokes damn it!
In Italy you have Beta, TM,Fantic,SWM....why buy Honda??
Bc Honda makes reliable great machines .not to mention people always want things everyone else doesn’t have .
@RacingJunk702
Honda has their issues also... just seems like Italy has many good options...of course another option just makes it better for us...
Interesting.
Honda builds only sx motorcycle because it doesn't care of "European enduro", she only focuses on US market
Red moto builds enduro starting from honda sx in Italy
Someone in US would actually enjoy an "European enduro"
Honda: wtf
Now jump in a time machine and give us this bike 10 years ago.
Sorry grew up on 2 strokes even latest 4 strokes are lacking excitement when riding. 2 strokes rule 4 strokes drool.😊
Honda 400 wr 2t. They would sell millions. 400 wr 4t would sell millions as well.
Omg I like odd ball 300rx Honda
CRE flashback
Sounds like they should've made it a 500 instead of a 400🤓😎🤙
That was cruel click bait!
But for now, you have to build them yourself still, and this goofy computerized world is not getting any closer to producing a production motorcycle close to what I want.
thanks for sharing Scott, you have very rare opinion on the matter but I get your point.
Post videos of you riding in conditions stated with the aforementioned bikes.....
@johnnyringo35 I don't have any videos, but it's the Rocky mountains and high desert. Kind of like riding Baja.
So this is another fantic, bimota relationship
Not quite. RedMoto are the official European dirt bike distributer for Honda and are their official Enduro race team. They have just put together different modifications for the bikes and put them together in house.
yes it is different but does pretty much the same, making Japanese bikes better for offroad.
Gas Gas has a 300 4 stroke
No it doesn’t.
only Sherco has one as far as I know
@@dirtniron TM also make an EN300 4 stroke 👍🏻
Will Ruprecht won the E2 Enduro GP title on it in 2022
why don't honda build a decent bike to start with.
@@someoneyouknow96Have priced a new KTM/Husqvarna 300 xc? Over11k. But they are true surgical weapons.
@@ronpage101 oh yeah. Im well aware how much these bikes are. I only shelled out 7500 for my kx450.

Not only $1500 for the upgrade 300 kit but another $1500 for labor. That’s 3k extra we should not be spending just for upgrades that could already be available.
yes, thats why it would make a lot of sense to get them from the dealers here in US as well
