- Let's Demo some Mobile recording Apps! Today I look at BandLab, a FREE total mobile recording solution for Windows, OSX, iOS and Android! It's easy to use, and lots of loops and sounds available for you to get your ideas down before you forget them. Using the AKAI MPK Mini keyboard and a USB adapter, it's easy to record tunes.

Great tutorial on how to use the Akai MPK mini with our phones! Can we download additional plugins on Bandlab and use them with our midi controller? Can we loop our tracks?
I dont use the metronome due to the fact I hear it sometimes in my recorded session
Why do some of my pads work but not the rest of them
My KeyStep 37 does not work on my Samsung Tablet A 2018. I was told it would be working on an Ipad, but that I would first need to update the firmware on the KeyStep37 on a MAC computer first.

How is capturing midi data, recording ?
I would like to know if I can plug my interface into my phone and record my guitar with my phone, title is missleading, capturing midi messages and recording waves is not the same... will test it out myself then.

How do I change the sensitivity of the pads ? I have to hit mine real hard to get a good volume
Do you know if is possible to record electronic drums with the Bandlab link analog mini interface + an android phone? There is a total of zero tutorials about this! :/
I haven't tested it myself as I'm still waiting for more stock to get the interface, but I would assume yes you could, as it's all midi over usb regardless of the device you use (iPhone,android, laptop, etc). give it a try!

Yes you can, it just won’t sync your projects until you’re online again
there's a way to map the midi keys?
I don't think there is a way to map out the midi CC in the mobile versions, but maybe in the website version. There is a way to do that in cakewalk however, which is made by BandLab now too.

Bandlab displays terrible latency on my PC and my laptop...these are high-end computers, the laptop is a gaming laptop... yet on my Android mobile, there's no latency. Someone riddle me THAT one, please.
Latency... LOL... I haven't seen latency in years... made me nostalgic for 2002. LOL. Latency, lol. How quaint.
LOL, ya, its a funny one. I can only assume its due to the browser having to process changes and send receive data from Bandlabs servers all at the same time causing the latency. I have no latency on Bandlab on iOS, but lots through the browser. Cant win in 2020 still. :P
