These are interchangeable terminologies. There is no distinction among them. Senior advocate or AOR is just a status given to a lawyer by the court but no material difference

Great to know that India has a different definition of lawyer from the US and Australian jurisdictions. Lawyer is defined as someone who, having been license to practice law, is qualified to advise people about legal matters, preparing contracts and other legal instruments, and represent people in court. Lawyer is the common terminology used in the US jurisdiction and encompasses both solicitor and barrister. Solicitor is a lawyer, Barrister is a lawyer, but a law graduate is not a lawyer until they are admitted into the admission roll for lawyers. Law graduate is one, who has completed a law degree either a bachelors of law or a juris doctorate and not admitted into the profession as a lawyer. This is a very big difference between India and other Commonwealth nations legal profession.

GP represents State in Civil Proceedings, when State is a party in such case, he is not the one who represents the State for the victim in Civil Proceedings, as has been stated by you.
Thanks for providing useful information. As of today after seeing so many judgements, my understanding is primary qualification of them(except exception) is, not being rational and not good in logical argument,,,but knowing how process works and remembering IPC. If all persons who are involved in judiciary become honest and do logical argument, scenarios will be just opposite. Today if a person has power or money or stronger, is not afraid of doing crime. In simple sentence, why is so? Because of failed judiciary. As human victim is always sentimental and depends on fate/luck, they approach to court and keep hoping that one day justice will be delivered, if not him/her then successors.

Seniors joined as aee,r/b in 1970,given promotions to juniors joined in 1982,supreme court ordered to revert those juniors who given i/c ee,se,ce,enc promotions exclusively in r/b dept since last two decades/more,state ias are woodwinked maamools from juniors,not reverted till today,not only ias శ్రీలక్ష్మిbut most were currupt,search pockets of engrs,as crores of rs spent by engrs but not by any dept,many depts are tax collections depts,govt maney have to be spent by only engrs but not by any ias/ips,rather projects costs will be in crores but engrs will spend,without yielding to pressures by political/any cm,must obey to assembly approvals unlike other depts which spend govt money without audits most etc but present ias/ips are not sticking to rules as their posts limited law&administration only but the same are not properly done,yielding to temptations

And there are 5 types of writs commonly used and Affidavit is a self Statement/sworn before oath commissioner /Notry and PIL public interest litigation for benifit of public 🙏

You all are appreciate yourselves promoting each other within Judicial circle. We as common man ashamed about Indian judicial system today. It has detoriated to very low level. Political influence has infiltrated at many level. Justice is far to reach poor and under privileged. Starting from lower court to supreme court, many verdicts are controversial, unethical and against Law.
Arnab Goswami can get access to Supreme court and can get bail within few days!
Even former home minister had to wait for several months.
Babri Masjid verdict has brought a clear picture about Indian judicial system. Again feel ashamed about Indian judicial system. We lost respect to these so called Lords who has to answer to real Lord one day!!!
