I started using trecking poles onl recently. Going to keep on using them, they are a big help. We hire out skiing equipment and have lots of poles with the twist mechanism. Many of them stuck shut. Really not a good idea. Yours is much better. Good choices, got me thinking now what I use the most.
Great kit! My trekking poles save me every time! I have two cheaper pairs and a more expensive one by Leki that I’m very happy with. All have that same lock as yours, because i head bad things about twist locks also. Always good to get out in nature :)
@@TRPufnStuf gotta have two or my shoulders and neck won’t be happy after. What I like about the Leiki is the big top part of the handle so I can use it like a cane going down steep hills.
I like your haversack and I love the family crest you put on it. My haversack is canvas, but not waxed. Being a female, it’s packed to the hilt 😬 Neat family history there too.
That sack is cool. Reminds me. Are you going to the Renaissance festival this year? Edit: I'm Robertson and Gordon clans. More Robertson than anything. Got my kilt and everything

I have heard of Leki. I might have to look into getting one. I prefer one pole versus two. Thanks for tuning in.

@@ThePreparedNorseman Makes sense. I'm planning on getting a 10x10 tarp and will use a trekking pole as center post for tarp shelter setup.
@@TRPufnStuf trekking poles are handy for that! I use one for my MLD Cricket tarp.

Got to have water, something to carry stuff in and trekking poles are great for up and down hill.
Especially down steep rocky hills aka mountains. Lol

Yeh, we're going Nov. 13th. Time traveller weekend.
I usually only wear my kilt at Tartan Day South or an event like renfair. Thus year I'm going as an old west marshall.
