  • What's changed since I quit drinking? The way I am able to build better relationships with my coworkers, family, and friends is one of the most positive changes that stand out. Since I quit drinking, I am able to actually listen and understand someone's concerns and be helpful in validating what's bothering them. I am able to empathize and appreciate another person's experience, instead saying what I need to say to get the topic over so I can go get my drink. My recovery has given me the opportunity to be dependable and reliable.

Sober 7 years after downing a gallon of rum a day for nearly a decade. Realize you'll go through the stages of grief with your addiction. You'll literally grieve alcohol like a lost lover. Because that's what is was. You'll have dreams about it.

I can relate to sooo many things you said. Trying to hide from people at work, chiwing gum,, ordering 30beers at specific time so the delivery would time perfect. I loved covid so all the meetings were virtual. Also a completely "functional " person. I built an own Bussiness, invested, bought many properties , invested more, all at the same time i had that other life. But i was always anxious and looking the clock. By curiosity, addded to Monster, and Coffe, did you ever added drugs or something like that? Did you ate 3 times a day or did you stop eating in that time? Thanks! You are great bro, have a great day. 👊⚡

It's my privilege to be able to share, I appreciate your comment and support 🙏 I was eating quite a small amount..never a full meal because my body didn't know what to do with it anymore!

@germanolaya4723 ,Forgot the other question you asked about drugs.. For the majority of my drinking history, I was in the US Army. Other drugs were, for the most part, out of the equation.. One of the reasons I leaned so heavily on alcohol was the doctor that it was legal and widely accepted. Thankfully, I don't have to live that turbulence any more! ODAAT

I stopped 11 yrs ago and can tell you it’s still a bitch every now and then .
We all know how easy it can be to relapse , I’ve been lucky in that sense because i stopped myself from screwin’ up . But staying strong and knowing I’m saving my life and not hurting the ones I love have been my savior . No AA , but probably should have gone to therapy which sucks going to now.

Hey Wayne. I was wondering if you had any significant weight change since you quit the booze. I’m struggling right now and your vids are awesome for me man, keep up the great work

Thank you, I appreciate the support! I have had a significant weight change.. When I was drinking, I barely ate food and very little water.. I was really depleted and weighed about 128 lbs. Over the last 7 years, I've gained about 30 lbs of healthy weight from good nutrition and diet, and I work out 6 days a week. Keep things simple to get through the struggle, my friend..If there's anything that I can help with don't hesitate to let me know.

Hey Wayne, been currently struggling with cocaine and alcohol. I was curious if you ever had an issue with cocaine as well. It's a tough combo to kick

Good morning, Hugh. Mostly just the alcohol, I've messed around with it before, and the combo was not something I wanted to get used to! I know what damage the alcohol did to me physically and the constant impact it played with my heart, liver, pancreas, intestines, and brain.. The effects of both on your body and heart are a dangerous thing. How are you feeling physically ? May I ask if you've considered popping into a meeting of AA or NA ?
