( johns wife ann here ) nice to meet you ,, names ann . dumpster diver here as well . good to see someone else out there saving good usable items from going to the landfill . i personally never take any meats . if they were frozen and or cold to the touch , then would consider . just be careful and use your own judgement . best bet on if you do take meats , go directly after the store has closed for the day , then you have a better cance of them being alright to eat . fun fact about me ; i tend to get distracted over shiny things or if i go to bath and body works and theres alot of lotion and or candles or soaps , then there goes my mind lol . stay safe out there , always be super mindful of your surroundings , especially if your diving alone . take care of yourself , looking forward to future dive videos , good video . and an fyi before i go ; soak and wash your produce in a water and vinegar bath for 10-15 minutes , then rinse them well ; gets any germs and such off of everything .

Hi Ann! It’s so nice to meet you :) you wouldn’t believe how excited I was to see and read your comment. It’s so cool that you are a diver as well. Im thankful that I got into it because I’ve saved so much good food and saved myself a ton of $$$. I’ve even gotten my friends and mom into it haha. I will certainly take your advice on meat and produce moving forward. I haven’t gotten ill yet but as it warms up, it may be more likely. Also, I will be sure to stay safe! I’ve run into an odd character once so far 😅
And thanks for sharing those quirky facts about yourself! I am quite distractible myself lol.
