- I've been working on this for a while now. I am not sure I'd like to admit how much time and research I've put into putting this system together, but I'm almost there. Jenny Compressor to AirRev Rev20 Dryer through Prevost Piping and Fittings, and finally Cox Reels. This system is going to be insane.

One thing I've seen shops do is use the piping for the actual air storage. So they just have a compressor with a 2" or even 3" pipe loop around the shop to store the air, with 1/2" drops and regulators at each work area or wherever air is needed. It's a pretty slick way to do it.
Matt this and your other videos are right up my mind set. I always want to understand how things work. All that I can say is EXCELLENT as always.
Thanks man. I just asking the questions that I would like answered and hoping other might have the same ones.
kevin he is in other air compressor videos
This guy is a legend. 100% the type of guy you would want to buy from
That's just dumb. I just spent 25 hours over the past week polishing my Raptor because I like doing it. I think most people aspire to be able to make the choice on what they want to do. I make choices on what processes I'd rather do myself or pay someone. I don't cut my own grass because I have the money to pay someone, and I don't like doing it. In the past, the cost of hiring someone to do it was outweighed my desire to make sacrifices making the money available. Does it make you better that you cut your own grass? No, that's stupid. But some people would rather do it themselves because they enjoy the process.
Also a word of advice is isolate the compressor from the ground. Some people use hockey pucks under each foot of the compressor. I used special pads that are supposed to be a little better. It helps to keep vibration and nose from transferring to the concrete.
i was confused..haha..i read it as isolate the compressor from the _electrical_ ground.
Ok Larry I see you👍
Thanks for another well detailed video on this stuff. Much appreciated
You got this guys saying “Dialed In” haha!

Any updates on your new garage?? It will be cool to see what the most dialed in overkill garage will look like!
I don't haven any.
My preference would be to put that compressor outside under a small cover or something to prevent the environment from being incredibly loud at times. It would help considerably with audio quality of your videos. Where do you think you'll be placing that big bottle?
I'm going to be putting it front and center. It's won't run often enough to become a major problem.
Matt that’s a beautiful set up. What tools will you be using with it?
I'm planning to use all the Rupes Pneumatic tools and Chicago Pneumatic for everything else.
Thanks!
have you heard the compressor run? is it loud? can't wait for the Prevost stuff.
Good stuff as always bro
It will be moderately loud. This is a low RPM compressor, which helps. But it won't run often due to the oversizing I'm doing.
what is that sound 13:55 HAHAHAHA
Jan Vissers dead lmfao
What would the piece of tooling that creates the "fluted" copper pipe be called? Not asked & answered yet. Anybody?
Will that color match my Quincy? That's the only thing I didn't purchase!
The Quincy is a darker blue, but I'm sure you could convince Kevin to make you a black one, so it won't clash.
Kevin from AirRev here... We make our dryers in a sexy matte black as well as the Jenny Blue. FB link here.... goo.gl/GtJsne
That's not a bad price considering the system
we should coin a new phrase for this Matt- industrial consumerism.
I don't think that explains what this is very well. Yes, you must purchase this stuff if you want it, but it is a bit more than that for me. I have a vision for what my garage looks like. All of the stuff that goes in it is being vetted for both form and function. I doubt the pursuit of functional excellence will ever be complete, but it sure is fund to chase it.
i hope someday i’m able to be as crazy as you
I couldn’t think of a dialed in comment :)
Curious to see how this turns out for you as we use an incredible amount of compressed air at the winery, during Crush we're moving so much Air volume it's just crazy I think we got like 6 giant air compressor units and those still aren't enough for us apparently... we just bought two brand new Ingersoll and Rand units, it's crazy you should hear them start up, one of these days when I'm working on them I'll take a video and post it on obsessed garage
Facebook page (OGF)...
I'd like to see that.
Awesome stuff.
Got a little off-topic question (regarding the video) if you wouldn't mind answering.
Q) Is it okay to use two different 'soaps' to wash a car? So using AutoGlym's 'Foam Wash' with the pressure washer and then using Mother's or another brand's "wash & wax" soap. Should I stick to just one? Or is this fine.
Thanks :)
LeanDesigns no issue with that.
Sweet! Didn't think so but just wanted to make sure :)
Yep, I don't see a problem.
Should have gone with the Kaeser, first time I have ever seen you not go balls deep into the high end.
I wanted a Kaeser Air Station, but they don't make a piston compressor. They only make rotary screw, which will not work for the volume I'm going to be using.
Sometimes you just need to listen to older fellows, could of saved 30 minutes unedited time to get the packaging off Lol
what happen to the eastwood compressor ?
I gave up on it.
Obsessed Garage they already on backorder until March 2018
Use you vac next time next to the saw less clean up
damn nigga you have paradigm studio 60 in your garage?
Ha...these are much better. Monitor Audio Gold Reference
Isn't this how Kosilla is setup too?
Similar, I think Larry has GT5B-80V.
No Karser😱😱😭
I haven't finished the video yet but I fail to understand why though? This seems way overkill for what I imagine you using it for
That is correct, but I need headroom largely for using pneumatic polishing tools. The benefit is that I get to build an entire system that will support anything I could possibly dream up.
Obsessed Garage ah I understand thanks, I look forward to seeing it
Wouldn’t it be better to just bite the bullet and build the garage than spend time building this one? Just thinking you would use one at home a lot more.
Maybe, but I need a warehouse for Obsessed Garage. So why not figure things out on this one, so I can build the ultimate one as correctly as possible from the beginning? At least that's what I'm telling myself.
Obsessed Garage Matt don’t think I was being critical just wondering if you might get more use out of your home garage. But I didn’t think about the warehouse keep building enjoying the videos
Jenny Jenny who can I turn to?
I’m sorry but did he fart? Lol.
haha, an odd sound I must say!

First! :)
