Taking the extra step to print The Pink Opaque scenes to VHS and betamax added so much more texture to the movie. The look of older formats can of course be simulated in post-production, but it often looks cheap when incorporated into medium and large budget productions.
Love both of her horror films. We're All Going To The World's Fair was so fresh and different, and I Saw The TV Glow is just so darn good and it provokes existential thought, which is the highest compliment I can give to a horror film.
