It certainly looked crowded! Crowds drive me crazy! Even the Melbourne CBD defeated me today. I could not wait to get out of there! Though the heat did not help. I understand that the Japanese hold Kyoto in reverence because it is the cultural capital of the country. I would go in off-season if i could. A little bad weather is better than crowds!
