    Nice! I have a Blue thunder 4500 dual plane on my 557BBF…never going single plane for my street terror. 💪🏻

      A single plane works just fine on a big cubic inch motor on the street. You won't be able to put down all that torque at low rpms anyway. 😆

    Send it to him next lol^^^

    I would be willi.g to bet, Eric would be the first guy to take your offer. Depending on the RPM or transmission set up. This should create the highest low rpm performance. The 509 should produce a bunch of torque already. So what are you looking for. Max average power, or additional high rpm HP?

      This is going to be a pump gas street/strip drag and drive combo with a 4L80e in Dad's old Monte Carlo drag car. I see 6500 RPM being the absolute top end of what I want to do with it. Compression about 9.5:1 with MAHLE flat tops and 112cc Victor Jr. CNC heads with 2.25/1.88 valves. And possibly boosted later on...

    I’ve been wondering about a 4500 flange RPM air gap for SBC.. but with a bigger air gap, and straighter runners. Almost like a single carb tunnel Ram, but dual plane.

      Yes I think a dominator RPM Air Gap is needed. Especially since now stroker engines are more common. In the 70's-80's strokers when this was made they were not that common and this intake may have been overkill for a 454. But now 500+ big block and 400+ cube small blocks (of all makes) are super common and a single plane might not be the best choice for the street or your hood.

    I have an old C454 intake. It was ported back in the late 70s. Pretty damn good old intake. Torque for days. Probably better used on 500 inch or less big blocks.

      Was that a street or race setup? I want to make power and go 10's in that big Monte Carlo but I'm going to be street driving it.

    Send me that intake or I can send you a label.

    How would a manifold like this cope with 606cu" donovan, tall deck?

      @etenterprises  28 днів тому +2

      I don't know about the fitment with the Edelbrock C454, but you see that rare tall deck OE marine manifold I showed briefly with the Q-Jet opening a friend put one I sold him on a Blueprint 632 and it's making a whole lot of torque while looking extremely stock.

      You need a big ass single plane. Don't think torque will be a issue with 600+ cubes.

      RHS sells a killer TD single plane intake that would work well for you. Pretty tall tho. GM Bowtie single plane TD intake is also a good piece. The one used on the GM 572ci 720hp crate engine.
