Simon is right with what he said. The most successful people that came out of American Idol were during their time as judges.
American idol’s ratings back in the day were crazy. Like legit we won’t see another show or series that are as watched as American idol back in its prime.
RK AB it’s a shame the formula phased out but it was certainly worthwhile until about season 8, then it was downhill from there.
Fabiano Rocha they still produce more successful acts than The Voice ever has. Including the latest seasons.

Sue W lol. I always blame Mariah and Nicki. Hahaha. Kidding aside, I just think that American Idol has been for so long, it was bound to happen. Plus, music in general is more accessible than ever since we have UA-cam and Spotify where we can hear more artists and watch an audition or a performance without really watching the show is one reason as well. After Phillip and Jessica’s season, I don’t think I watched an episode in its entirety. Just the videos posted on the UA-cam.
This just warmed my heart. I love Simon since he became a dad. He really loves Kelly.. they all do, but Simon really, really loves her.
Amber White it shows so much gratitude and that is nice to see from someone who is wealthy but never forgets the reason why he turned out to be one.

Simon showing his humility and his true self instead of pretending to be such the villain and bully is so humble and it is wonderful-that was great that he said he would do another show with the original 3 judges back together! What he had to say about Kelly was truly admirable and sweet!

It goes to show that even if Simon didn't see something in these acts the first time doesn't mean that he won't warm up to them throughout the show to the point that he'll start to believe in that act and want them to go far in the business

This is so satisfying to watch. Who knew that years later they'd be sitting here being interviewed by Kelly on HER show.
Nobody beats the original judges of the show. They're legends. Paula is such an incredible choreographer dancer. Randy and Simon have developed many different talents. These American Idol judges new the game and were right almost everytime about choosing the right talent. People think Simon's cold but he has such a keen eye. His cut and dry nature ensures success.
I loves Paula Abdul. She is one of the most caring and loving reality judges I have seen.

I’ve always loved how much Simon has supported Kelly. He knows he owes a lot of his success to her being such a success and giving the show credibility.
My Favorite Part: Simon says he wants the 3 of them to do a show again, Randy goes to fist bump Simon (who never sees it @ 4:03), and Paula gently clasps Randy's floating fist and pulls it slowly back as if to say, "No, sweetie. It's not going to happen, but it was a sweet gesture." I giggled so hard.
They're such a cute little family, and I hope Simon really does bring a show back w/the three of them on it.

There will never be a trio like Simon, Paula and Randy. Their chemistry was undeniable, raw and authentic. They found a gem the first season. If Kelly did not win American Idol and become as successful as she did, I don't think any of these talent shows would be around today.
One thing I would actually want to see happening is a duet from Kelly and Carrie. You have no idea how insane that would be!

She is a unique, one of a kind entertainer, song writer, and performer. Paula knew it right from the start. Legendary talent from her too. Love this show, and the honest approach that Kelly uses.
