Revlon needs to bring back Flex!!!! And that Milk shampoo!!
I always liked the one where the guy tells his wife about how
the girls at the office have such soft silky hair LOL! Yeah.....
Lady you got more than shampoo problems!
This was a great upload!
~ Right!?! Thank YOU for watching!
body on tap might have been the best scented shampoo ever. not sure why people did not buy it as it smelled incredible. this smelly shytt they have in shampoos has stunk since 1990. most people now do not know how awesome shampoos used to smell. i last used body on tap in 1985 the year it was discontinued.
1:36 to 1:41 love this psychedelic music. this should have been a radio song using different words.
I love it but...... It's giving me icks🥴
Remember Yucca Dew shampoo ?? That was a funny commercial… never heard of the yougurt shampoo. When my brother and I were young boys I remember my grandmother shampooing us with Breck. Too girly smelling for boys I thought ..
~ I don't remember either one! But Breck, we used quite often. I'm pretty sure my mom got what ever was on sale, being as I remember using more than a few different shampoos! Thanks for "stopping by"!
ooohhhhh ooohhh Yucca Dew

I remember the commercial for Body on Tap Shampoo and still would like to know if I can have your email address so I can make a request or two of what I would like to see on your UA-cam channel because I enjoy classic television.
Why the original Herbal Essence shampoo was discontinued is beyond me.
~ I've been finding that when a company is purchased by another, the new owners discontinue products that either compete with something they produce or downsize production (aka: close plants). There are a LOT of products out there that I can't find any info on why it was discontinued.
Flex was really good.
~ Agreed!
I started a job at 12 years old in a take out seafood restaurant. I made $1.75 an hour. Id take my pay and buy whatever new shampoo id find at the drugstore. Guess that's why i became a hairdresser. 😅
0:41 my auntie work in united states (my family is filipino) and i remember my auntie saying that she use the shampoo
1:37 to 1:52 love this spacey dreaming music and singing this should have been made in a radio hit love song with a few different words. another thing that really became gross--commercials.
Does anyone remember HEAD SHAMPOO, circa late 70s? The bottle had "HEAD" in metallic block letters, running diagonally between rows of stripes(the colors of the stripes were different for shampoo, conditioner, and creme rinse). There was a humorous TV ad of various people with lathered har...I think one was wearing novelty oversize sunglasses.
~ Doesn't sound familiar... I'll have to keep an eye out for that!
I remember a shampoo that was the tangle tamer and you got a free brush or comb with each bottle.
~ Sounds familiar... 🤔
was it Tame?
@@LisaLisaCJ I could not remember that tho save my life. Thank you.
@@LisaLisaCJ Ah...Tame...when paired with Prell Shampoo succeeded in making dry hair, DRIER, as well as greasy...And no blow dryers...just the old bonnett dryers...Wow! We early-mid 70's teens had it rough when it came to "beauty choices". I don't know how we ever survived. Lol...
@@birdsfan57lol well I’m black and my grandmother used Tame for her hair. She kept me with Johnson’s baby shampoo for years until I wanted to do my own thing. I used Gee you hair…. Omg I can still smell it. And I used Prell ONCE… yeah it was drying. And I remember the bonnet dryer with the built in nail dryer. With big roller sets. I miss those days.
Revlon flex aún lo venden aquí en USA
Clairo shampoo became herbal essence
there was one shampoo called Spring Feeling made by andrew jergens in early 1980 that really smelled good . another great shampoo that did not get the sales it deserved. people like all the creep shytt whether in music or personal products.
~ I don't remember that shampoo... if I remember, I'll include it in my next video. I'm old, so remembering will be key! LOL
@@60s70s80sNostalgia there was one in 1985 called Conair shampoo for blown dry hair . it had a gray bottle and an orange liquid that was so thick it was almost a gel that smelled really good. 1980/early 1980s there was a suave shampoo in a brown bottle also with a orange liquid that was so thick it was almost a gel that smelled so awesome. i wish these shampoo scents were in a beard balm that would stay on my beard and make me smell good all the time. by 1990 everything stunk and smelled bad and it stayed this way for 34 years now.

I heard on another video that Touch of Yogurt Shampoo was discontinued because people assumed that it was edible because it contained yogurt, lol
~ I remember reading that when I was doing my research. It's not surprising, though. Today, it would have a warning label on it. LOL
an urban myth created by stupid people.
2:06 why did the girl said do not drink it like did someone drink body on top shampoo because it smells like beer or maybe it's just gag 🤣😂
~ I'm thinking somebody somewhere must have taken a swig! LOL
1:07 I never understood why girls used the "I have to wash my hair" excuse to decline a date! An even worse excuse would be "I have to mow the lawn!"
~ I never understood that either... like, was it that time consuming back in the day?!
@60s70s80sNostalgia Maybe that depends on how long the girl's hair is. Or if her hairstyle is high maintenance. Mine is short and it doesn't take me a long time to wash my hair!
Yogurt shampoo? 🤮
~ I'm not surprised it didn't sell!
