As he walks away, Scully's like, "Dang; he just HAD to say it out loud??"
Elisa Smith yes, exactly....and then after that thought “..., now what do we do?!?!”

I'm the 69th Like! 😁🙆😁
hahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahhaahah lol lol
It's funny the fact that Scully doesn't know other guys except for Mulder, so it's obvious that he's talking about Mulder ahaha
That little moment when she grabbed Mulder's arm and stopped him from losing control, and he figured out that Scully was in love with Mulder. One. Simple. Touch.
not to mention how truly gutted Padgett looks when he realizes that he can't penetrate her heart. Padgett was creepy and fixated but in the end he did do the right thing and sacrificed himself.
I cannot recall this 😓 but it must have been beautiful
@@rosauradiaz9842 One of the more truly lyrical episodes- just gorgeous.❤️
Where?
Where in the video?
Scully slowly looked at that dude like "Fuck."
Mika Chan These were my thoughts exactly, like "fuck, I'm supposed to be playing it cool"
"Agent Scully is already In Love"- And my heart skipped a beat.
like we all knew but when Padgett said this I honestly squirmed because the love between them was always an open secret but here it's just open and the way Mulder responds tells you that he is very much aware of what's between them but to hear it aloud he's not used to. There was always a sense of yes they are in love but it is Mulder and Scully love and you can't define how special and unique their relationship is. Now Padgett is defining it and it's throwing them off balance.
Very well said.
Scully doesn't look the least bit surprised by what he says. Neither really does Mulder. But you can see both of them going, "woah, did he really just call us out like that?! Does that mean we have to actually discuss this?!" Do they? Of course not. They just stare awkwardly away from each other hahahaha
This is a little precious moment that isn't talked about enough, in my opinion, given the massive implications...
this is THE moment of the series
How do you mean?
Guys, can you please tell me the season of this scene?
@@elisagiambartino3483 Milagro. Season 6 Episode 18.
@@thegiftedmedia thanks
This scene is significant for several reasons. It represents the closure of many situations that had loose ends. In the episode Rain King, talking in the bathroom with Sheila Fontaine, Scully makes clear something that was already evident to her: one day you look at that person who WAS your friend, and discover something more than the night before, like a switch that is turned on . Then you discover that you can no longer see yourself with someone else, other than the one who WAS your friend. We can see in Milagro a face of Scully that until then had been withheld from us: Scully is not chaste, a full-fledged woman who is revolted by the loneliness that is no longer voluntary, but that stems from respect for the distant posture of the man she desires. Mulder's out-of-focus image, in contrast to the sharp image of Scully's face, unsurprised by Mr. Padget's revelation, is just another chapter in this circle of emotions that was heading towards the inevitable outcome, which was Scully and Mulder taking over. The truth that they both already knew.

Tu comentario me llegó tanto, que hoy volví a ver ese capítulo, impresionante como describes los detalles, lo confirme y tenias razon, este capítulo da a entender muchas cosas...
once again proving that Chris Carter is brilliant !
Well said :)
The season 6 was full of shippers' moments, including this one
I think Chris Carter could finally admit that while he intended for their relationship to be platonic, Mulder and Scully were brought to life. There was too much chemistry, lingering looks and intimate touches to be ignored. While their relationship is built on something platonic, it's like Scully said a switch was flicked. One day her best friend was more than just the guy across from her.
Yet he kept trying to shove them into a box that was busted and they'd outgrown. It's really David/Gillian that pushed forward and expanded Mulder/Scully. Carter has credit for the creation of the x-files and the iconic characters but it's David/Gillian that made Mulder/Scully the epic duo we all know and love.
They only had to look at each other to defy Carter's weird prudishness. Carter's an idiot for trying to keep them platonic even when the story and characters became so far out of his reach. I've lost a lot of respect for Carter knowing some of the most stupid decisions he tried to enforce over the series. What did it truly was David defying him in 'existence' when he wanted to end the mulder/william/scully scene with Mulder kissing her forehead. Really? David was like, no man we've teased for so long let's end this the way it should really end. Mulder is gonna mother fucking kiss the love of his life.
This comment is so Beautiful
@@rochey1010 I disagree with Chris Carter being an "idiot". Even if it didn't make sense for Mulder and Scully to be just friends over the years when they obviously felt more than that, I always loved those special moments and the tension. I was actually disappointed when they kissed and got together. The show lost its magic for me when that happened.
@@rochey1010 Yes! David is a shipper and he showed that in the episodes that he wrote as well.
Thank goodness he let that happen. This other show I've somewhat followed, which is a guilty pleasure, has the same thing with the actors. The 100. The lead characters were meant to be platonic, and their friendship is central in the whole show. But they became painfully unplatonic. The actors even ended up getting married. And in the books that were source material the two characters are together too.
And instead of letting it happen naturally, the showrunner adamantly denied it. And now, in the last season, a few episodes before the show ends, he absolutely brutally destroyed their entire friendship as well as any possible romance. It was nasty and it was terribly-written. And basically irreversably destroyed both their characters in the space of one scene. And the entire core of the whole show. It ruins the whole show. You can't even rewatch previous seasons.
I have never seen an entire fanbase obliterate so fast. It only happened last week. And even as a very casual fan, I can't even finish the show. Even I felt furious.
If you don't mind spoilers:
Imagine if Scully and Mulder never kissed. And when Mulder came back from being missing, he joined a weird cult Scully hated. And Scully out of nowhere brutally murdered him. For an object she didn't even get or need. And that was the end of the show. That's basically what they did in the 100. They had the lead murder her "best friend" over a book she did not even pick up or really need. Fans and critics were not impressed. To say the least.
The feels of this ship are too much!!!❤️❤️❤️
I know right? I'm more invested in a romance like this than I am in my own love life 🤣
Aaaand on Mulders face just so happens to appear the big question mark "Is it me?"
;D Hilarious!
You'd think he would get the hint and talk to Scully at least. But no! These two are disasters at romance. I mean, even when Scully tried IVF with Mulder, they still stayed "platonic". They didn't even consider what might happen if Scully did get pregnant from the IVF. That they would literally be parents together. That everyone would know it was him and assume that they were a couple. Scully's family especially.
Even when she was supposedly PREGNANT with Mulder's child, they played it remarkably dumb until the kid was born.
I think he already knew. It's just that Padgett was the first to say it out loud. Both looked shocked bc they always shoved it to the back burner and ignored it. They couldn't when it was said outloud by someone else. I think he absolutely knew the moment he burst in the door at the end of Small Potatoes. And again. She confirmed it for him in the movie when she was willing and going in for the kiss too. Drugged or not Mulder said I Love You to her in Triangle. I don't think he would have done it if he didn't realize she was in love with him too.
@@TheTardisDreamer the writers said thhe IVF took place in the 2nd half of season 7 when they were already sleeping together.
@@lunarikariko981 They were lucky 'they' became pregnant so quickly. Some people take many cycles, goes or not even at all.
I'm pretty sure that this whole episode, which was written by Chris Carter himself, was Carter finally admitting that his characters had taken on a life of their own, and that in the long run he could no longer force them to be contrary to what they had become (without destroying them).
yet he kept trying to destroy them LOL
sim perfeito
This was such a relatable episode. I'm also mesmerized by Scully whenever she's on screen.
She is just so beautiful and talented
take that diana fowley
God this was probably one of their best episodes!
Touches Me more than 99% of dramas I've seen
99.9%😭
Ha ha. I love how she looks like she was just completely outed lol.
I love these little snippets of Mulder and Scully and I love the comment section because it’s like I am hanging out with friends.
Me too. It's very interesting see differents point of view about Mulder and Scully relationship. I love it. I 'm always rewatching X files series in 2023.❤😊
@Malissa, what a fantastic comment.
Think anyone who is anyone could have guessed Scully was in love with Mulder from all the way back in the first series. 😂
Mulder be like "it's me right?"😂😂😂
And Padgett is looking directly at Mulder as he says those words......
Scully later admits it in IWTB!
"This stubbornness of yours- thats how I fell in love with you."
They each only admit it outlook to the audience one. Mulder in Triangle and Scully in IWTB...we deserved more.
make me cry😭
Obviously Mulder already knew she was in love with him, even before the hallway scene in FTF movie. Everybody knows he's a very perceptive character. I mean, the man is an Oxford psychologist, for goodness sake!
I don’t think she was in love with him until season 7
@@sarimanne6204 you should watch season 5x20...
Why does everyone think Mulder is a Psychologist? He only has his Bachelors from Oxford. You have to have your doctorate to be a Psychologist.
@@sarimanne6204 I disagree...she was jealous of other women since season 1 and the end of Small Potatoes she was willing to let Mulder have her. Detour she comes to his room with wine and cheese and makes a comment about how they arert supposed to socialize in each others rooms...yet she shows up with wine and cheese. Also, the scene in the last episode of season 5 when she saw Mulder and Fowley together. The way she talks about Fowley to the Lone Gunman and calling Mulder from the parking garage to specifically pull him away from Fowley...super jealous. The hallway scene in FTF. Rain King speech in the bathroom. Chris Carte said it was a love at first sight thing...but when did Mulder and Scully admit it to themselves? I think for Mulder it was when Scully was abducted. Melissa even chastised him for not expressing his feelings for Scully. Scully is a little more hard headed. I think it was when she had cancer. Right after this episode is The Unnatural and they act *different* towards each other....they are both more flirty and relaxed. I've been watching these shows for over 20 years...just watch the series, again, for the 27th time with my daughter and I still find new little nuances that pointed to their feeling for one another. Gillian and David did a fantastic acting job with it.
It was Scully who was already in love with Mulder when she met him for the first time in the Pilot, not Mulder. There is a deleted scene where she visited her boyfriend and they shared bedroom, and it seemed like Ethan was jealous of Mulder. In an episode, "Fire", she was shown jealous when he kissed another woman who worked with him in the past.
and who does not? Mulder is awesome... handsome, inteligent and so sexy!!!
They were both gorgeous, and their chemistry was magical.
And funny. I tried to resist, but I felt for him in the beginning of season 2.
Season 6, best of all :)
7 was my favourite.
Agreed! Milagro is one of my favorite episodes :)
yup and season 7!
Dreamland, The Rain King, How the Ghosts stole christmas, The Unnatural (end scene), Arcadia.... love the whole season!
It's hard to pick a season. I'm definitely more partial to the middle seasons.
I go back and forth because there's so many top tier episodes throughout the show but there's something magic about season 1. A kind of atmosphere, tension and the creation of an epic partnership and love story.
I love this episode more each time I watch...it is very seductive and Mulder looks exceptionally handsome. And yes the way Scully grabs Mulder's wrist and gives it a slight rub with her thumb is a dead give a way of her feelings for him.
Yes, the touch was so subtle but loaded with meaning. One of my favorite episodes.
@@stacyclark1322 Sim, com o toque ela quis dizer: é você que eu amo
And the Mulder/Scully fanbase goes WILD.
One of my favorite episodes.
Omg her face at the end ... 🙁😟❤
i know right, no shame or embarrassment that it's blatantly said, which shows these 2 know exactly what's between them. But Scully here looked resigned to the fact that Padget's words are the deepest truth. She is very much in love with Mulder, and tried to prevent it for so long in a world of inequality (FBI) and her own personal pride and fear of truly falling. It's here we understand that the heart doesn't obey and wants what it wants. It's too late and there's no going back, which interestingly is quite symbolic of the episode.
THEIR faces 🤭
I love how he says it like this big revelation --- meanwhile the people in the audience are all going, "DUH!" Mulder's been gone for Scully since like the very beginning. Scully's feelings are a little less clear early on, but I think it's safe to say he's pretty much been her one and only for the vast majority of the show up until this point.
Lol again
It was hard for her to accept that she loved Mulder for awhile.
not only hard but terrifying. To truly acknowledge the depth of the love between them was to completely lose oneself, alas the heart wants what it wants. Scully chose to follow Mulder but loving him deeply was something she had no power over. The only power she had was the power of denial.
Well said rochey1010!
@@rochey1010 perfecte
@rochey1010 lol she never loved him
I'm honestly NOT one of those people who are into trying ship characters, but even by season 3 or so i was like "just KISS already damn"
They got Chemistry
@@balthasardenner5216 plus after a while, all that closeness and the things they went through together, it sort became inevitable. Could you imagine either of them being able to accept the other having someone else in their life?
@@MackerelCat no, it would’ve broken both of them.
Yes,Yes,Yes she's already in love!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
why was season 6 being so awesome with scenes like this?
I love that it takes a complete stranger to hit scully over the head with this information...oh that really explains a lot thanks crazy author guy! ;-)
Chris Carter was a fool to think he could just create two beautiful, complex characters with such chemistry and such a deep and loving bond and still call it "platonic" when they are already closer than many married couples.
There is no chemistry 😡 and I wanted Mulder with someone else Mulder's family was a piece of crap
I like agent mulders face in the back ground
i screamed
She is already in love with Mulder, undoubtedly
No she isn't she is a whore
I think Mulder & Scully had a little chat about "stuff" in the time between this episode and the next one because of how playfully they act with each other in "the Unnatural" ep right after "Milagro". Scully seemed downright chipper! I'm pretty sure they admitted things and maybe started "doing it" soon after this author gave it away lol
Yes! Right? Something happened bc they are so flirty.
@@lunarikariko981 That was confirmed in series 9 when an unknown man is talked to. He seems to be important; they say ' he was surprised when Scully 'invited' Mulder over because she was lonely'. That person was actually Mulder's half brother Agent Jeffrey Spender who was horrifically burnt. The episode is named William.
@@veronicaaccouche1478 that's not entirely correct. The time line when Scully invites Mulder into her bed was never actually established. The writers say it all started in Season 7 but never gave references as to when. We know they were at least having Sex by All Things.(the episode GA wrote) The shadow man who said that to Scully wasn't Spender it was a super soilder played by Terry O'Quinn, who was in LOST. The episode was called Trust No 1 not William. William was the episode DD directed where she gave up William.
@@lunarikariko981 I thought it was Spender in the episode where he gave, injected William with the solution. Scully appeared embarrassed.
@@lunarikariko981 Didn't Terry Quinn appear in the 1998 Film I want to believe as the bomb expert at the beginning?
Beautiful, the piano makes it's more powerful.
Basically, two types of comments for this video:
1) Amazing, deep comments that almost take my breath away
2) Trite shit
BUSTED!! LOL

Awesome
Wow. I watched this episode just last night
I love how Scully looks at him like 'h..how did you know that knows that' look, but they she touched Mulder, and she confirmed what he say said.
I think Mr. Padgett already knew thah Mulder was fall in love for Scully (Mulder jealous), but he discoveried that she also love him. This moment Is great, because Mr. Padgett give her, Scully, a idea about if did she love or no to Mulder?
isso mesmo
Just.one.touch that's all it took for Padget to realise she was in love with Mulder. Jealous af Mulder about to paste Padget all over the cell and Scully calms him with just.one.touch. and Padget knew.

very impresionant my friend how is the name of this episodio i love this serie but a dont have the name please can you give me? you are a genious congratulations.
Yeah and the one tine molder admitted it strate out (from what I have seen) she just walks away and mubles oh brother I think she thought he was still all racked out
...and true to Mulder and Scully form they won't even turn and look at each other. It's more like "well, hell, we can't deny that."
I'm watching this episode. That guy is really fantastic.
You are an idiot
@Koru exactly :D
Then they totally made out on the floor of his apartment after her initial shock of almost dying at the hands of the fictional murderer…
@44hilla44 yes! mine too!!!!! I thought.."Yes! at last!!!! " jajjaja how I miss them!!!!!
Mulder is quite oblivious to that. His character as a true believer in the metaphysical encounters that they had, dislodges common feelings like that. He never considered that Scully could have developed deep-set feelings for him.
discordo
I perfectly agree with that. I Think Mulder remains oblivious until late....
Mulder already knows and admits it to Scully earlier in the season. "Scully i love you" in his wizard of oz time travel adventure he passionately kisses 1939 Scully and gets socked in the jaw. 😄 fantasy or real Scully was a desire for him. In the movie that bridges S5 and S6 he makes a move on her in the hallway. Mulder is not oblivious at all. He knows what he feels. S6 is about them accepting this truth. They've already fallen in love long before this.
With Skinner, obviously.
Lol 🤣
Of all the episodes they could have admitted that they love each other or SOMETHING during, this was the freaking episode where it should have happened
bus-ted!!!!!
Though I understand what he's getting at, I'd have to add that it's not impossible to fall in love while already being in love. Love is not limited in that way.
Wtf 😡🤡
It's thought provoking.
La agente Scully y el agente Mulder estan enamorados🥰 y nosotros de su eterno amor

@Rachelspicygirl ...If both admits their mutual feelings to each other, the mystery will be spoiled!! Better, if the feelings were left unsaid...anyway, their actions speak louder...that's what made the x-files a hit to most of the fans.
