I personally like how some songs take part of the song and make a harder version of it later, like the ending being the beginning but with MASSIVE health drain, making it to where if you miss a note you basicly instantly die.
I know that the lore says he already eat it and also that it should be part of his shirt, but I can't help but see that yellow section as Tails's lost tail, like if seeing Sonic dead wasn't enough Eggman now use his tail as a decoration to remind tails what happen the last time they met, even in the part where everything goes black that's supposed to show how tails focus it only make that part contrast more, making it more visible.
A really good rendition of eggman, no longer an ego keeping him back, he’s just hungry and ruthless in his hunger. Taunting tails just to make him slip up. Love it

That would be the one Eggman possibly used to cut Tails's other tail, to later feed it to Tails. From the trailer, or leak. And so Tails managed to free himself and escape. We get to the prey song, after tails escaped. After sonic is eaten. Tails finds Eggman eating him. And thats when Tails snaps trying to kill Eggman. But he can't because of the fear increasing during the fight, or song. Thats my take on what happened.

That has always been my head canon i could see starved taunting him with it probably saying something along the lines of “looking for this fox?”

I think in order for the fear meter to not go up you just have to try to get sick’s a lot
nah, it just goes up gradually throughout the song. missing does make it go up, but the accuracy of the note press doesnt matter
When starved sings bar goes up. When its tails it goes down. Simple.
