The Team at PYC got their hands on the brand new Wilson Clash V2, Watch to find out what they liked, loved, and what they did not prefer! #tennis #playyourcourt #wilsonclash
This is a GREAT video discussion. So refreshing to hear different points of view and where the aim of the video is not sales but just honest genuine feedback.
Thanks again for the review guys! I have this racquet and my wife has the clash 100 v1. Fyi if your interested in the clash v2 pro it is not forgiving if you have bad form. My first day with the pro, and balls were going everywhere with bad form and upright baseline hits. Next session I concentrated on perfect form and bending my knees on baseline hits and this thing is an accurate cannon! With my wife’s clash 100 v1 I can be lazy and be upright and everything seems to go in, it’s a cheat code racquet with less accuracy. This racquet is special and really accurate but you have to fine tune your techniques to unlock its potential. Absolutely great on volley and return serves too as it’s heavier than clash 100. I will also mention that I have carpel tunnel and ulna nerve inflammation and this racquet at 53lbs lxn main tnt cross works for me without pain.
I bought the Clash 100 V2 standard because of tennis elbow and I had to add about 7 grams of plum betweenn 10 and 2 and a overgrip. Now is much more powerful and stable. I also have the Yonex Ezone 100 (2022) but now I don't find any reason for using it instead of the Wilson
I almost lost my arm in a motorcycle accident, clash saved my tennis life, the new 100 pro v2, has been a big game changer for me, consistent depth, More pace, bigger spin with same stroke, actually less strength needed to power ball..
Thanks for review! Really liking the cosmetics on this racket. I hit w the clash 98 currently. Does the V2 98 add enough new features and feel to give it a try? Even if it doesn’t, I may just pick it up for looks alone.
Hi, great review. Been playing for las 4 years with Dimitrov’s ProStaff 97S 18x17 with 19,5 beam width and love my racket, specially the stability, precision and control. But getting older (51) and just recovered a year ago from shoulder surgery and suffering constantly of golf syndrome. Demoed Blade and Ultra and didn’t work for me. Is the ProStaff 97 v 13 which has similar specs to my rackets any easier on the arm and shoulder? Or should I transit to the Clash. Demoed de Clash 100 v1 and it lacked precision and stability, felt bullied by heavier hitters. Any thoughts? Thanks 🙏
Hi Jose, definitely give The Clash V2 a go, specifically the 100 Pro. Commands control over the ball as one would expect from a players racket but is super easy on the arm! Hope you heal up soon!
Most importanlty is the type of string. If you have elbow issues stay away from poly's. Wilson Synthetic gut at a mid-range tension should help out the lebow issues. Hope this helps!
I would recommend a Hybrid string setup. I started using Luxilon Alu Power Rough in the mains and a yonex synthetic string in the crosses at 24kg in my Yonex VCore Pro 97, and my elbow issues are gone
I'm a little confused, I used to use the Pro Staff 85 6.0 the sampras racket and I lovd it back 30yrs ago, now in my early 50s I am getting back into tennis again and I would klike to know which would suit me between Clash 100, Blade 98, or PS 97? Arm and Shoulder friendly would be great.
Hey Jon, having played with the Pro Staff, the PS 97 will be the most similar being from the same line. Not the most arm friendly of the racquets though if you're having arm issues. The Clash is definitely the best for arm pain and the pro and 98 are definitely players racquets! If you prefer a thinner beam and more control then the Blade 98 is the winner.
Thanks for the review. I currently play with the babolat pure drive 100 and I'm pretty happy with it. How would you compare the two as far as power and volleys
Pretty comparable but the Pure Drive may have just a little more pop due to it being a stiffer frame. In contrast however the Clash V2 had much easier acess to spin. Far preffer the Clash on volleys as well due to the feel especially on touch volleys. Hope this helps!
Thanks guys, what is your recommended string setup and tension for the Clash v2? For my wife's Clash 100 she has this setup lxn 125 main, tnt2 16 cross. 45lbs and it works well.
I'm a 3.5 female (5'5 & 108 pounds) doubles player with Tennis elbow after having rotator cuff tendinitis; do you think that the clash 100 V2 or Clash 100 V2 Lite would be better after coming out of a Head power instinct oversized 110 which is super lite? Thanks!
Hi, the Clash is one of the most arm friendly racquets on the market so either version should help with your tennis elbow. We would recommend demoing them both to see what you prefer. Using thinner strings at a lower tension and building up the grip of your racquet can help with arm pain as well. Hope this helps!
@@Playyourcourt good to know thx! Oh is a bigger grip better? I’m currently in a 1 (4 & 1/8) in my head with an over grip on top.. i wonder if i should try a 2 (4 & 1/4)?

Glad to hear you're ok and the Clash helped keep you in the game!
Is there a substantial difference with spin with the pro vs v1, given it is now a 16x20?
I wanna hear more from Bill. Shame the other two kept talking over him.
Man I'm hoping to find a version 1 second hand soon!
haha came home from playing today and was gonna hit bill up about the clash, then I saw this 😆💪🏽
Bill was reading your mind! lol

Absolutely! The 100 Pro is a HUGE step up from the previous model

This Zebra-Sock had me dizzy the first few sec. Bro ; D ... Nice Job thx for the Review^!^
lol, yeah in hindisght they were a bit much. Glad you enjoyed the review!
Original 98 was amazing raquet
I've been using a Wilson Ncode Pro Open for a long time. What current racquet is most similar?
Tough to say as we haven’t played with that model but I would suggest trying the Wilson Ultra 100 or the Clash 100

We're big fans of hybrids. Wilson NXT syn gut and Luxilon Alu Power. Tension somewhere between 53-56lbs

@@Playyourcourt also what are thinner strings? I usually play in either nxt 16 or head velocity 16
Lighter racket with more flex = less power than a 12 ounce racket that's stiffer
