All Star Musicians - Down The Road

Well I should say this is not my video, someone uploaded it to UA-cam a couple of years ago and then closed their account...Luckily I had already saved it to my Hard Drive :-) This is "Down The Road" performed by all star bluegrass musicians.

The rest of the story is that Earl Scruggs had had to cancel at the last minute. Jerry Douglas rounded up Dan, JD, Sam and Barry and saved the day. There was very little, if any, rehearsal beforehand, which made it one of the loosest and funniest sets ever. This festival was a casualty of the recession and closed in '12.
