I love diving in rivers, as that's where I started diving. I lived near a famous salmon river, mid Norway, so me and my mate used to hang around every day in the season, with our masks, fins and snorkels, ready to go out diving for lost fishing lures and fishing flies, as some are really expensive. The fishermen would sometimes give money, booze, Hashish was welcome pay, we even got our first bump of cocaine from a fisherman once.. He claimed it gave him better night vision, and he wouldn't get dizzy from the moving water... The Swedish fishermen would try to stiff us a lot, so my mate would hold their flies and lures ransom until they actually paid us. They were quick to command us into the water but often trying to not pay, we just wanted something for the cold job. Finnish fishermen were often very cool and friendly. French also and brits. We also sold moonshine to a lot of them. Really nice times.
Once they dig down the water speed drops a lot, but at the top the velocity is insane. Have done a lot of this type of mining, but in slower water. Great video work. Never have seen anyone in this fast of water.
If a whitewater kayaker came down that river having that platform crossing the river and ropes would make a huge hazard. As a kayaker I hope people are not routinely doing this to rivers.
They need to be careful with hanging safety lines, as floating timber or falling rock faces even, could pull them off the catwalk and tangle in the line under water. I have done this sot of job, minus th gold. We were just clearing our swimming place in a small river, after our dumb neighbour dumped rocks upstream and it filled our waterslide
Crew risks their life isn't really an "oh my god what happened" title when it comes to gold rush white water.... ...these guys do that on the daily... If the heading said... "Things went well at the Hurt mine site" I'd be all over that like chocolate sauce on vanilla ice cream...that would be something new 👌
This is the best show on gold rush definitely best reality show on TV !!!!!

If they cut the fake drama this show would be incredible
agreed
I would go to that last inside bend on that shot of the river they showed. Should be a pile of gold there💰💰💰

I love diving I love this jobe..GOD bless you ❤️
Glad to see these guys find it, hard work, ingenuity, perseverance & big Kaunas pays off!
Number One show on Earth
Incredible. At least they aren't tearing everything up and leaving a god awful mess like in Alaska
Hope Fred is Back this season ! Awesome Dive Team Dustin

Where do they do this at? what state are they in?
They mine in Alaska
Wearing weighters is just stupid if the cable failed they would drown instantly
Kinda better than numb feet, losing your balance and drowning anyway
The real gold is the Milwaukee power tool deal.
7:15 gotta have that gaffa tape ready always useful shit
What happens if a log comes down the river?
That awesome 😎
Yeah the poop chute... all they do is lose money lol
that is a TORRENT, not a river.
The narrator said that
ഇത് എവിടെയാണ് 👌
Those guys dont have half the personality of Tony Beets.
At least they aren't ripping up hundreds of acres of pristine wilderness.
More reruns
scary? dangerous? hahahaha
These guys don't make nearly enough money to make this worthwhile. 100K at the end of the season split between 4 guys?
