It continues to amaze me to see the range of things manufactured by guys in sandals crouching on dirt floors. Workbenches are apparently a foreign concept to them though.

I spent 37 years in a oil refinery. I wish I had a dollar saved for every one of these kind of check valves I have installed. Water for cooling systems mostly. Petroleum products using brass is a hazard don't use it. In case of a flash fire. Brass melting point is low. You can put out a fire quick enough with steel components that you won't have a ruptured line with a bigger fire. And I have fought some fires it always scared the c@@p out of me. Over that 37 years we lost Two men due to fire !
i worked for 20 years in the manufacture of plumbers fittings all machined to close tolerances and go and not go gauges for bores and threads there is no evidence of close working here so if it fits and works it's ok.
kinda feel sorry for the work conditions these people have to endure, pretty bad and not very safe! But I guess that is more or less the norm for small manufacturing business' in that part of the world...
why is it amazing ,,, is it that they dont die from the fumes , pouring molten brass while wearing flip flops ,,, ,, or that they still have limbs left , or that the job done for pennies in the pound ,, its not amazing , its disgraceful .

However, I cannot stand American liberals crying about how much better we need to be about the environment. In. America. We have some of the strictest production standards in the world. Then I watch this and think, everyone one there is getting cancer and those noxious fumes are going straight into the atmosphere.

This is not a Gate Valve, this is called Swing Check Valve.
I think this is a low tech unidirectional flow valve. swing check works with flow pressure. This valve just allows flow in one direction.
