We were so confused when our GSD CeCe appeared to be regressing this spring. She was in the 7,8,9 months age and she was doing bad dog things that she hadnt done since we first got her. She even urinated in the house once, right in front of us! But with consistency and strong leadership she is back on track to being a GREAT dog with excellent listening skills. Thanks German Shepherd Man for all your videos, they have truly helped us :)

Thank you for the tips and especially for coaching us. Consistent disciplined training, the dogs are easy. Oftentimes, we're the ones that need the most help.

I want my puppy WonderGirl to be trained like Major. Wow what a well behaved GSD she would be. I’m really working on her. Has a ways to go. Only 4 months. Your training system is so inspiring. It really does work. Love watching your dogs go through it all. Your videos are so very inspiring. Thank you so much.

In other words, u channeled your "inner Brooklyn ", when Major went off the path!! Lol.
I find another technique helpful as well. I assert myself VERY STRONGLY change my body language to that of a soldier and start to back dog into a corner, until they can't go any farther and I stand almost right on top of them. Stay that way for a few seconds with my hand up and and right in front of dogs face. It's a game changer, try it.
They know when that hands comes up and out, I mean business!!!

GSM you are such a great trainer. Have the greatest dogs. I do love and continue to use your Puppy Training System. It’s really made training my One year old now so fun to work with. I’ve learned a lot from you. Thank you so much.

I have a spicey personality myself. All three of my dogs know they have screwed up just by my facial expression. A snap and the look sends the message loud and clear.

I like drop over release. Easier to say but changing at this stage would only cause confusion. I've found that about 12-14 months they go through adolescence for lack of another word. Males seem to get the team spirit and work fervently. Females on the other hand act like they are doing you a favor about half the time. Females can be outstanding and excel in any job, but only if they feel like it at this minute. By the time they get about 15-16 months, then the work ethic switches back (with occasional episodes). Of course not all personalities are the same and dogs have minds of their own and your patience time is one of the first tools you need for training. But I do believe the old adage " If you treat a dog like a person, they will treat you like a dog."

Good video, good message. Like you've said before "always be training". Major is beautiful, and focused just like his dad. Good job raising him.

Here’s one for you. My 11month old is VERY ball driven. Drops when asked ect. She just started this thing where she shoves the big ball into you, and pushes it onto my feet. She’s gonna kill me. Cuz I’m trying to walk. What the world can I do to make her stop? She used to just carry the ball around and follow me like a good girl. I realize she wants me to kick or throw it. But I can’t always do that. HALP! Lol

If it were me I think I would have to elevate the correction for the unwanted behavior and REWARD, all within a second, for the behavior you want. The correction I would give would make them a little uncomfortable and the reward would make them feel GREAT...that would do it for me. GSM

What age is supposed to be the worst? Mine is 11 months and she is sassy but not terrible, only jumping on people is an issue. We do the knee but doesn’t care.

I said I would never sell out the people on my mailing list...haven't and never will. VERY cool. The Puppy Training System is for those who appreciate the 46 years of experience and UNBELIEVABLE amount of work and expense that it took to produce the course. The ones that have bought it and put it to use are having great success. GSM

I can confirm that the system works. We've had our puppy for three days now, started crate and boundary training on day 1 and she already knows sit, stay, come, and OK for the release. Is she perfect? No, but at a little over 10 weeks old she's doing amazing. Thank you GSM.

Wow! Ok thought I was really messing up. Have had Gunner on the puppy training program which has work beautifully. He is now 6 1/2 months and starting to hit this period. Almost like his brain fell out.
But he is a champ at the crate!

My boy went through that and would be jumping on me over excited when I was in the yard with him. I grab his collar and hold him so he can’t jump on me, and until he settles down. Then I would brush him and take him walking. They need plenty of excerise on leash and off leash. He is 4 and try’s to do it sometimes but is much better. Stay consistent. They are too smart!

Thank you. Loved this info. Brody is now 8 months old, so he is right in that spot. I have been being more of a leader now with making him do what I tell him to, us going in and out of doors and him second. I’ve heard that you should always do that, pack leader ya know. Love all your valuable information. 👍
