Getting a GSD pup soon and was eager to learn and prepare as much as possible. Whilst preparing dinner I wanted to watch and listen to your videos. I can’t help but to point out on how the way you teach and explain is like hearing a friend tell a story. Absolutely perfect and engaging way to teach! Thank you!
You know the first thing you notice is the size but the demeanor and temperament and bond with you just radiates through the whole video. A definite star in the making! Good job you too.
I started with your Puppy Training System right away as soon as I picked my baby girl up. Went over it before she arrived. I would love to have Major or happy with a duplicate. Lol. But my baby isn’t old enough. Mine is almost in Second grade. Love your training. Love doing it myself. Thank you. GSM 🙌❤️
Glad to help out...check out my Puppy Training System with my CELL NUMBER in the course if you need help along the way: abts-of-dog-training.teachable.com/p/abts-of-dog-training/
@@germanshepherdmanofficialc7598 What puppy food do you recommend? Based on research I see grain free but the breeder I’m buying from said “always feed food with grains, grain free can contribute to heart failure.”
My shepherd was ready immediately. She was amazing. She knows so much now. Every basic comment and many many tricks. She loves her crate as well. Like you mentioned she will run in it! I would love one of your dogs one day. How do you know what pup would be best for a high energy female shepherd like I have at home? Super high play drive and prey drive. Doesn't accept rude wrestling behavior from other dogs but is friendly to other dogs. Plays beside them not with them. Super friendly to people.
I have to have a phone conversation that is around 45 minutes to figure it out. I like the challenge of matching the perfect puppy to the home it is going to. GSM
Good morning, German Shepherd Man! Major looks so content in this video. I can't imagine trying to raise TWO puppies of ANY breed at the same time😯 Raising only ONE was time consuming enough🙃 Major is like "Dad, why are you waiving my paw around?"😁 I was cracking up when you told Major "Don't bite me, bruh!"🤣 Of course, Seargant is righteous😉 German Shepherd Man, I can see that you ARE teachable. You ARE humble. You ARE willing to admit when you might not know EVERYTHING on a given subject. You are NOT an idiot. You KNOW what you are talking about. I'm glad you turned the older guy down when he offered to buy Seargant😉😊
Hang in there Dennis. Structure. Take out every 3-4 hours and name it "potty" or pizza/anything...as the dog squats and throw a party after!! Have a treat handy and play. Gotta catch the dog having an accident inside, say "no" gently pick it up and bring outside....after potty, (some puppies potty 5 minutes apart/twice) Back inside in the crate....just put it in there until quiet for 5 seconds..ignore the BS...once quiet, let it out for a training session...keep it on a leash dragging when its out...keep it contained or with you and eyes on when out of crate (create good behaviors). The leash is great for "shaping" and correcting for chewing/jumping, etc...just a gentle pull toward you after you say "no"....reel the dog in, ignore until calm and repeat. Its a tough first 3-6 months with constant redirections/teaching...of course it depends on temperament/drive/genetics/dynamincs in home/etc....get it used to life, drop things, sounds, keys, jacket/car ride just start car for 5 seconds, later back up 5 feet, baby steps...make it work for its food, hand feeding really helps strengthen the bond...great time to teach yes/no/crate!!! Have fun and nap when the dog naps, hahaha!!
THANK YOU for this impressive video on puppy training. I will be getting an all black working line puppy from Izzet Gunbil and this video is most appreciated. I have your video training program and I love it.
I'm trying to train my almost 8 week old german shepherd pup to stay in the crate when I open the door, he was doing pretty good yesterday but last night and all day today he just bites me on the hand and wrist when I put my hand on him to get him still, He has turned into a piranha! Should I wear a glove??? Little Jack Jack is so sweet on the abt's of dog training:-)
I was thinking of using the name Major or Saint, but I just can't decide. Would like a strong name. Your videos are definitely helping me prepare for the months to come! Thanks for sharing as always 🐶
Really like your videos. We can learn so much fron them. Also i miss puppy girl being in the videos. Hope she will start coming in your videos again. Have a great day and be safe.
Major is a gorgeous pup... Your training videos, can I use them on my 3 year old female german shephard or no. Sometimes I have a hard time getting her to look and focus on me .
Hey German Shepherd Man, love your videos. We have a couple of level changes in our house/on our property (about 20cm), but we hear steps are bad for GSD puppies and ideally we should always be carrying them up/down. Of course our 8.5 week old Maggie likes to bound off them like superman. Do you have any unavoidable steps on your property, and would you recommend being super strict with not letting them run up/down them? Thanks so much for all the amazing education (and entertainment) resources you provide!
Shout out to you so Charles always enjoy your videos. Sergeant son looks absolutely beautiful. Training would you say it should be ASAP whenever they are perceptive whenever they pick up
My caucasian at 8 weeks knew all the standard commands, sit, come leave it etc. Got her from a trainer at 8 weeks old. Now I know I would never get a puppy from a breeder who doesn't have dogs titled in obedience at a minimum and doesn't get the puppies started on obedience right away.
Yep...that's what I was offered for Sergeant when he was a 12 month old trained puppy using my system. A PROFESSIONAL working dog guy offered...of course, I turned him down. GSM
@@germanshepherdmanofficialc7598German Shepherd Man, so I'm sure Seargant is worth every bit of money that the guy offered you for him, but I would be VERY disappointed and sad if you EVER were to sell Seargant, which of course, I know Seargant won't be going anywhere. Yes......you can read ANYTHING online. Sometimes what you can read VERY conflicting things about the same topic. Some things you read online are pretty bizarre in my opinion. Major is impressive, and he looks like his Daddy, Seargant.

Dear "Juice", Shiloh shepherd puppies often do better with praise than with treats. Early training is essential.
Major has grown so fast!
They do grow up FAST...GSM
My German Shepherd is almost nine weeks she knows sit and is excellent on the leash so far but man the crate and potty training has been hard
