I watched an interview of them and apparently it's pronounced Paris. Turns out the V in PVRIS is just an upside down A...good to know :)

Zucking Fombie I don't see why not, rock-wise:
-Beautiful lead singer, with two back-up musicians that are okay with being out of the spotlight, but not necessarily overshadowed; thank god they contribute to the songwriting process and production side of things.
-Catchy, accessible melodies with relatable lyrics that aren't too vague that the average radio listener won't be turned off.
-Great debut album; pretty good live act.
-Friends in the industry; they've been shown love from everyone on the scene and everyone at Radio 1 in the UK.
-Sophomore record is less than a year away.
-Currently, no-one else sounds like PVRIS in the mainstream.
-They've got nowhere to go but up.
If they're not going to be the next big thing, they're sure as hell headed in that direction at break-neck speed.

Aria King Firstly, hunny is a disgusting word. And yes, we are all entitled to our opinions. Here's the thing about the respect, I don't care about "respectfully" stating my opinion when the truth is Paramore doesn't deserve to be respectfully trashed. I'm almost cold. I really don't care when I see comments like mine in the videos from my favorite band. (Foo Fighters) Granted, they are legends. Mostly in my book. Paramore is obviously way overrated. Sure, they have SOME talent. But seriously, I think their only slightly well thought out song was, *drum roll* "The exception" or whatever it was called. Now they just exist for the lights and cameras. After the lead got married the band seems to just be out looking for more publicity. It's almost the same with the other bands/artists signed to Fueled by Ramen. I would just ignore me if I were you. Seriously. It's a lost cause to keep trying.

I mean I like Pvris, but you can't possibly compare them to Paramore. Paramore inspired Lynn. Besides their two different bands, two different types of rock music, and they have a completely different sound. You would never see paramore cover a Pvris song or vice versa, it doesn't suit their style at all. But since some people are saying Pvris is better than Paramore, that's like saying Paramore is better than Evanescence. It makes no sense.
I mean...some of their songs sound similar lol (and I'm not talking about 2013 Paramore, talking about 2007 Riot! Paramore).
I agree, Lynn voice sounds a lot like Hayley but music style is completely different. Pvris is a bit darker and electronic for me. I prefer Paramore but I really like this.
