What are you most excited for in NHL 24? What do you wish they added??
For me button passing is a great change! But I'm a little worried they haven't mentioned anything for Franchise yet 😬
Advanced goal horns probably
for me is, knock players into the bench, broken glass, physics based contact, hip check, button passing, bring back some beloved features from nhl 14,if not all of them 32 features I want back.

i don’t like button passing because i will then have to take my finger off of the right stick to pass it

Being honest, the new goalie fatigue system sounds like a fantastic idea. Being able to wear down goalies by peppering them with shots is gonna be cool.
As if G was not hard enough lol always want 8-9 games
I hope they make a pressure x factor for defensman and goalies that lowers their attributes less than other people

they have one for goalies already that makes the goalie better the longer the game goes so this would be cool
Need an ai overhaul. Never seen players move around so much on the powerplay. It's brutal, you can't set up at all. Nobody gets open, the ai is glued to each other or they move up and down the zone way too much, I've been behind the net battling on the pp and my teammates exited the offensive zone to defend... WHAT!?! the ai is absolutely retarded
Yeah fr in game 7 ot it’s a 2 on 1 in the slot because my ai defense partner if fvcking around in the corner
I doubt it'll be on this game but I would love it if we can make custom goalie masks, for at least be a pro and other offline stuff
that would be a sweet feature to have! maybe one day
I’ve wanted this for years lol especially when you create a team for the expansion draft.
They’ll never do it for obvious reasons, but they should take a year off, really listen to the feedback from the fans and community, and revamp the whole thing cause my god.
they should but they wont . pay pigs spend too much money on packs . they will never do that
first time in like 25 years in not paying to ea sports games.. cant even run fifa 23 as it crashes the ps5 from overheat
Thats what I've been saying for years so they can stop saying for every realease ''All we could work on are the AI and some online tweaks because it's all the time we had to work with'' or ''we focused on offline mode only because it's all we could do in that time span'' .....it's alway half baked due to the short time they have between each year. But hey, they make much more money from HUT with a yearly realease so....
X-factor idea: For goalies they should make a new X-factor that would give them a boost like dialed in when your 5 minutes left in the 3rd and all of overtime (if price still played I would give that to him)

Just make dialed in at 12 saves not 15 to activate.. it only 3 saves but that could be gamechanger
Finally new celly always had trouble not putting the same celly on every guy on my team

The biggest thing I want to see in Franchise is changes to the scouting system. I mean, how many times have you looked at your scouts, and found out they're not scouting top 10 players? Or, they're out looking for players, when in their region list, they have several top 10 or top 25 players they aren't scouting.
Classic EA - broken glass and hitting into the benches is a “new” feature. Yeah that was all in the game literally 30 years ago. But some of the other new stuff does look cool.
They also added standing ovations on goalie saves no?

It would be nice to have replays and overlays and game intros. Was really dissapointed in NHL 23. There was no presentation.

@@timothyburke9432 i was disappointed with most of the changes for nhl 23 tbh. No presentation, not being able to change strategy unless you are on the ice.
I would figure that some new abilities would be related to reducing fatigue for long periods inside the d-zone.
Hopefully they add 3 team trading on Franchise Mode like how it is on NBA
I miss when the ticker at the bottom of the screen would show scores from other games in the league.

who else is tired of the WOC feature? the outdoor pond hockey rink was okay for a change...
but why not go back to how NHL was once played? on an actual hockey rink, in an arena with fans in the stands.
i remember NHL legacy, where you could make your very own private lobby, team up with friends and play against others. and it eliminated having trolls. and if someone were to troll the game, you had an option to kick them.
i miss those days..
If I’m on a ps5 but get the ps4 version of the game can I play with people on xbox one? Or can I only cross play if I get the ps5 version and I have to play with xbox x/s

Tbh, I think I might use the old controls cause I've been using the regular controls for my whole time playing nhl games 😂
cool, we needed a goalie fatigue system, because beating the computer 50-0 on the hardest settings because goalies suck in this game, was so difficult

How do you do an world tournament with active nhl players ? Like the olympics ?
I wished they updated the season mode and made it more like 2ks MyLeauge where you can add teams without replacing others.

This is the first time in since nhl 14 that I’m actually excited for the game! I have all the games and everything but they were all the same game with slightly better graphics but this seems like new gameplay

@@Mazkawaa if you start in the juniors that would be fun I think even adding a house and more money bigger house you can have a yard where you can invite nhl players to practice with, a small garage with bottles everywhere as targets lol I dunno it could be much better but before as you mentioned it had nothing no interviews no agent conversations no bodcast nothing all does things are cool if they add more it will be better but the only annoying cut scenes for me were the ones in game not in menus

I agree with what tactix says about ai trades. I literally got a trade offer from Dallas and it's me giving Bedard for rfa Jason Robertson and two 3rds. Like what? In this sim Bedard was like 96 ovr high franchise and Robertson was 92 med franchise. Probably won't though seeing as how it looks like this game is focusing on gp and cp. But still excited

I want to see how all the new stuff plays in Franchise mode. I am one fools that love to play with both the NHL & AHL teams . I'm a Flyers fan so i wait tell the trade deadline roster update is in the game to play around with them . The starter of the season i will wait tell first roster update after the season started and pick a random tea M. NHL 23 playing with Random team the reverse retro's came out so i picked a different team don't know if there is a way to add the new uniforms in Franchise mode after starting a new Franchise
In nhl 23 it was just downloading the new roster and having it selected for new jerseys in Franchise

They say they changed all this stuff but they say that every year guarantee the gameplay is still the exact same
I don’t think goalies need to get fatigued considering they’re already so bad at saving pucks. I mean, I would like the feature if goalies didn’t have a 60% save percentage on a good game.
Hopefully this will all be in current gen and not just next gen like nba 2k.

For playoffs you don't have to win 16 in a row. They literally said in the video that it's best of 7 series'. So if you win 4 before losing 4 then you go to the next round, rinse and repeat for the next round. Hopefully the playoffs are not outdoor games. Also they always do a full game modes deep dive video.
Fast elite edge work players should feel like it . Everyone kinda plays the same.
So for once, toa might actually mean something. This is huge in my opinion.

Stop bullshitting...nhl has been basically the same game for the last 10 years. The only differences in the games has been a bit of an improvement in graphics, a couple of more dekes and obviously roster updates...but it's seriously the exact same game for the last 10 years

As a Be a Pro Player, I want to be able to see how long an injury will last so I can correctly sim to when my player gets back in the lineup

My biggest problem with NHL 22 and 23 was in Be A Pro... if you create a player like a center... and you get drafted by your team that you want to play on... It doesnt make you center because your not HIGH enough on points to win the job from the true center because he is ranked 88 for example...... so you have to play season after season to get your point total up to pass said starting center just to get in that position.... I have been asking for a feature that allows you to actually BE in the position you choose to be in.. i am a center, I want to take face offs... NOT be left wing because you constantly put me there.... I hate that it forces you to be a position you are not the entire season... It should at least be an option to turn on to make sure you are always in the postition you picked.... if i wanted to be a winger... i would have chosen a winger... I love taking faceoffs.... but never get too because the game never has someone get kicked out of the face off circle... EVER.... even on PP or penalty kills... still a winger... which sucks.... make it an option to turn on that the position you pick, you can always BE that position... let them juggle the lines and put an AI center in left wing spot.. etc....
I hope they improve the forecheck. I play Franchise and i find the forecheck is junk, they automatically back off when u lose the puck no matter how aggressive u r playing.

That would make sense, like higher the poise less you're affected from other team's pressure, and you get a bigger boost from your own

all they care about it hut so if they could they would completely remove be a pro and franchise . live the life from NHL 14 was so much better then what we have now

Goal scoring is still not even close to being real, why does the puck die and never come back out of the goal? It almost always hits the mesh and stays in the goal. Why not have the puck shoot back out of the goal as fast as it goes in like I’m real life eh

Are the edit strategies back? Are divisions back? Or is the game even further dumbed down and noob friendly? Skill is not an option anymore, so not my game anymore. Bringing old stuff back like breaking glass? Really? With the goalie fatigue option all the noobs will pick the highest ovr team and do even more shooting from the blue line instead of playing. I'm letting this one slip just like 23. Will check it next year.
