Space is not infinite it is expanding The Infinite is already everywhere. Space is some place. The video deals with the Place where the space is presently residing.
G-d is more than the cup in your example. He is the water, too. The Infinite is all and It fills and surrounds all. There is nothing other than G-d. Think about it for a while. G-d is endless
What is THIS place? The Actor's Studio? A classroom? A building can be a hospital, or a public library. It is written that G-d cursed the ground for man's sake (not sure why Jews spell G-d, with a hyphen rather than with a letter : perhaps because in Hebrew vowels are symbols, whereas consonants are letters? - that, is a guess). I once read that vowels are not found written down in a Torah scroll, but from memory you are to know which word is which. I do not know if that is true, or not. You cannot trust everything you read, or hear. The Word of God is Truth. It is written that when Moses saw the bush which burned with fire but was not consumed, G-d told Moses to take the shoes off his feet for the PLACE where he stood was Holy Ground. But if G-d cursed the ground for man's sake, was that curse not upon the ground, everywhere? How then can there be found Holy Ground upon the earth, anywhere? Is there ground that was not cursed, or can there exist two grounds and in two separate places? And somehow man is able to "crossover" from one to the other, though he appear to himself to walk in a "straight-line fashion"? "Hollywood, is a state of mind", is a famous saying. When you enter into a religious setting, does not your mindset change? And can you enter into a better place, by changing your mindset, but without taking a single step? Are you, or your thoughts, far from Him? Do not your thoughts and feelings, define you? Is it not written that if you keep His commandments He will take you to a land UNTO another land, one flowing with milk and honey? Milk, is for babes. One teaches a child, to do good. And then there is judgement - but will it be sweet? The land of Israel, as opposed to the land of "Midianites merchantmen". What is THIS place?
You keep on thinking of The Infinite (that is, G-d) as being something tangible. As to proof, it's been proven millions of times. And if the fact that you exist, and mountains and trees, and a single blade of grass! and you breathed air into your lungs when you woke up this morning and continued to do so all day does not already convince you that there is a Creator, nothing else will convince you. Shrug.
Space is not infinite it is expanding The Infinite is already everywhere. Space is some place. The video deals with the Place where the space is presently residing.
You're a good man, Rabbi. And a good Jew!
Yes space is some place. Space is not infinite. It is expanding and the infinite is already everywhere.
Read "Coming Back to Earth" and see where it all started, where it went and where it ended up.
Do you do some sort of lectures? What was this meeting if I may ask?
I like this And the best of all - Eevery thing you said in here was exactly what I always thought of. :)
One of my favorite things to say is that G'd is not in the world, but the world is within G'd. :)
jajaja I like te answers of the students... God id the place, god is everywhere. Shalom Rav Gutman, i love your videos.
Maybe I'm wrong here, but I think space is also just some place that is in the place

Don't if u will answer me because this video is from 2014, But
The place it's in perfection, right?
JESUS is world to me.
G-d is Infinite. Do not worship a limited god. That is idolatry. Worship only the One Infinite Creator of all. The world is limited. G-d is Unlimited.
Keep it up rabbi
Amen.
It's perfect
are u from Bklyn, or the Bronx, originally Mr (rabbi?) Gutman?
So we are in the Place, God is the Infinite Place, "Like water in a Cup" yet the Cup is God?

G-d's deeds are observable, and it is dishonest to deny that.
the place has no time
After death we will find out everything

How maddening.
