      Make it come true! The world needs more people pursuing their own dreams instead of their bosses.

    Perhaps instead of burning, you could bury the trees in an area you would like to plants something new. I bit like hugelkulture. Just a suggestion.... I always hate to see good carbon go to the wayside... haha...really like your channel.

      I have decided that I will cut the usable wood into firewood that I will sell or trade. I also hate wasting potential energy that could heat someones home or be used to barter or sell. Thanks for the suggestion

      consider shredding some into a huge pile of wood chips out of the way as you will be happy to have them down between the rows of your garden, they go down into the ground to help replenish the dirt for the following crops after you plant the one side for a couple of years works great!!!

    I have watched many of your videos and you constant complain about the road leading to your house being extremely muddy. When I was in the U.S. Army Combat Engineers, we learned to build roads. The single most important factor in Road design is drainage. The road leading to your property is extremely muddy to the point of being impassable is due to poor drainage. The County or Federal govt that you say owns the road should provide culverts to drain the water from the uphill side to past the lower side. Consider asking your neighbors to lobby the road dept to do this. If that fails, consider doing it yourself with the help of your neighbors. You have an excavator and I bet some of your neighbors have other equipment. You will have to buy some used culvert pipe.

    Just flipping through some of these early vid's. Did M&T buy their land first or did you? I know you have said in the past how much of a difference it makes having them up there.

    Heath this video was close to 3 years ago & Man youve lost weight from then till now in Jan 2019. Well at least you look healthier now in 2019 than U looked in this video. I guess all that hard work on the homestead & tireless work on the house has slimmed U up considerably. 👍

    hey if you get a couple of barrels you could make some charcoal . also you could make a lime kiln . get on high dig down about 18 to 24 inches circle . lay a 55 gal barrel with both ends cut out on it side towards the wind . then put a layer of wood , coal , limestone . continue this til your abou 5 feet above ground level . now put a 6 or 8 inch stove pipe in center on top . cover everything with dirt . craw in 55 barrel light it . let it go til all the heat gone . this is the real burnt lime the old timers made . it contains wood ashes ,coal ashes , burnt lime . great to build soil up .

    Since this video, how many times has the county graded the road?

    • @williammitchell8247
      @williammitchell8247 5 років тому

      I would bet with it being a fire/wild life trail, it is maintained by U.S. Game and inland fisheries. So it probably gets graded a few times a year.
