I didn't understand this point 4:35 (reddish or pinkish )?? however you marked all markings present on the layout chart with a black marker i didn't see neither red nor pink marker ?? how can the patient see the reddish or pinkish image ?? thank you
To follow this we need many marking charts of different companies. Very difficult to get all. In busy schedule it is difficult. I have dispensed many different type of progressive lens but always taken perfectly verticle and horizontal markings without centration chart. No problems till now.
PD means “pupillary distance,” which is the distance between the center of each pupil. This measurement is used to determine where you look through the lens of your glasses. If the PD is wrong, or as we say in the optical world “out of tolerance,” you won’t be able to focus your eyes together properly. That’s why it is important to make sure that your PD is as accurate as possible. This video is made to present how to mark PD with smartphone on Frame before dispensing Glasses. ua-cam.com/video/g0NtAlQxZOA/v-deo.html
I do not think most of the shopkeepers go through this process, this is the most accurate process of progressive lens fitting.
Thanks
these all things are so easy

She has used red marker. If red mark is in the centre of pupil, during verification the patient will see light as reddish or pinkish.

I doubt even 10 % of the optometrist do not follow this lengthy procedure. A majority of them even don't take the IPD measurement.
