Tokyo Jungle. What a unique game. It’s an animal survivor arcade game that is very addictive once you understand the gameplay mechanics. You, as an animal, have to survive in a post-apocalyptic Tokyo where only the animals are left. You have to eat, drink, hunt, make babies, and score through different missions. The goal is to unlock animals that you can incarnate next. You start with a little puppy, but you can play with many other animals like cats, bears, wolves, tigers,… and many more. It’s not a beautiful game, but it is so realistic because you really have that “animal survivor” feeling.I don’t know if you already experienced that game, but if not, just give it a try. It was released in Japan as a physical copy. Also in North America in the physical compilation “Playstation Network” (contains also Fat Princess, a funny strategy RPG).
PS3 was the last unique console made with passion made by sony, even though i love PS4 And PS5 they are just PCs with less features than PS3 back in the day
Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn looks amazing! Definitely getting that for my PS3 library! Ridge Racer 7 was an excellent title early in the PS3’s lifecycle, and was the one that got me into the series. Glad to see DOA5 here! Such an excellent looking game! Another awesome episode man! The PS3 was a beast of a console, and that collection in the end looks like a quality one 👍!
This makes me realize how little has changed since PS3-era. We're still making very similar games if not playing these exact same games. Journey didn't release on Steam until 2020 and it sold about a million copies since then. Alien Isolation still looks stunning 10 years later. It's crazy how many 7th-gen games remain popular like GTA V, Minecraft
Ps3 was and is still a great console. Only thing bummed me was it wasn't backwards compatible with ps2 games, only the first model. Ps1 were fine on all models. Also the ps vita and ps1 games we can download and play. Another was the playstation HOME, was ahead of its time. Basically a social or single SIMS. I really wished they continued and brought it to new consoles. All great games on ps3...yet alot never ported digital or physical to current gens.

It has always baffled my mind how MGSV ran on the ps3. It looked amazing on the ps4 and the only big downgrade I could see on the ps3 was the resolution but other than that it was extremely impressive.
Not to be pedantic but it's actually the other way around, MGSV was initially being developed as a PS3/360 game and then when development overlapped into the (at the time) next generation platforms, they ported from there accordingly with plenty of room for QoL improvements. It's best to think of it as a PS3 game that had a simultaneous PS4 remaster lol.

I remember it was a big deal when God of War 3 came out. I have a copy myself but really only because it came with my PS3. I'd like to play it in the future. Dead or Alive 5 was pretty fun! I got the PS4 version so I had a little extra fidelity. The story was a little confusing to me but then again I'm coming in at the 5th game LOL! I've only played the demo of Lightning Returns but I really liked the battle system! Makes me want to play the full game even though I won't understand the story. I watched a playthrough of Alien Isolation and it was quite interesting! I like the idea of the alien learning as you go through the game
Gotta put ps2 classics in some of these as they technically are standalone games that are running on ps3 hardware if that makes sense. Recommendations for a future video COD World At War and Binary Domain.
In the first part you mentioned uncharted 3. Well, I think it was possible to mention uncharted 2: among thieves. Some people consider this game the best in the series, and some consider it the best Sony exclusive of all time!! The graphics in this game are incredible for 2009 and the snow physics are still superior to most modern games!
You should begin soon because the PS3 is now considered retro. Games are going up in price. My advice is to use a 720p TV for the PS3 they will look great or if your TV has a good upscaler build in.
DOA 5 did not only looked and played great, but it was a palate cleanser for the series's fans that didn't had a 3DS and were soured by DOA 4. And I would say that DOA 5 looks better than some PS4 games (I'm looking at you SF V)

For a launch title it really shows the contrast between the last generation and next. It would have been a game changer in 06. Most people still had crts in 06
@@spencerstevens2175 no they didn't people bought new tv's for these consoles. noone i knew used on a crt in 05 for 360 even. it is clean graphics looks barely better than an upscaled ps2 game. it's resolution and framerate that's it. but i agree to console players in 06 would have looked clean and fast. but not a technical acheivement. people get confused

The MLB the Show series is the one I spent the most time on, followed by the NHL series.

Well games are a lot more Open now compared to PS3-era.

Ive seen that you can mod youre PS3 to take PS2 discs, maybe that could help? Ive never tried it personally
You can just install CFW or HEN and that will happily emulate most PS2 games for you.

GoW3 looks good, but didn't like the enviroments/levels - too repetitive.

I am a FFXIII defender. It is so good on PC with original Japanese voices. The characters make so much more sense and are natural.
