Good afternoon, Norman; Thank you for tuning in and the comment. Yep. It was nice to catch up on the crew with the chat. Made the dwell time move along. Have a great Friday afternoon and evening. Please take care and stay safe!
Good afternoon, Lou; Thank you for stopping by and the comments. I also plan on being late to my own funeral. LOL! I hope that you have a great Fridy afternoon and evening. Please take care and stay safe back there!
Good morning, Ken' I thank you for tuning in as well as the comments. I was surprised the steel fabricators weren't working this morning. It did make for a quieter approach and departure. Have a great Friday. Please take care and stay safe!
Good morning, Ginny; Thank you for stopping by and the comments. Yep. We are slowly getting down to fall like temperatures here. Had strong winds yesterday that brought down over 50% of the pears from the pear tree. Gott go clean up the mess to make the back yard safe. Have a great Friday back there. Please take are and stay safe!
Good morning Mike: A great video this morning. Right on time. You are speedy this morning. Have not had my first cup of coffee this morning. The train whistle sounded good, love to hear them the distance. You have good day and be safe.
Good morning, Gerald; I thank you for tuning in along with the comments. I didn't have to wait for the first cup of coffee at Peppy's this morning. LOL! I handed her my cup and it came back very quickly feeling warm as I wrapped my fingers around it. That got me thru the posting of the video today. It was nice to not have the industrial noises today. Made picking up the horn music on both sides really nice. Have a great Friday down there. Please take care and stay safe!
@@jebstewart6270 Good morning, Jeb; Thank you for dropping by and the comments. I appreciate it. I wasn't expecting any new pax today. he one who did board is a "commuter" snob. Glad it works for him. Anyway, have a great Friday. Please take care and stay safe!
Happy Friday, Mike. Nice way to cap the week. On-time train & easy board. Plus had some time for conversation. Noticed the temps were a little cool there. I guess the days will remain comfortable for awhile yet. Stay safe & be careful. Enjoy what appears to be a real nice day!
Good morning, Jim; Thank you for dialing in as well as the comments. That is getting to be a regular thing of being on time or a bit early. Gives me a chance to chat 'em up. It is getting closer to seasonal out here. Still above normal. That may change over the weekend into Monday. My coat and flannel shirts are ready. Had the "Grabber" heat packs cooking in the mittens this morning. Helped keep the fingertips warmer. Have to clean up the ind debris in the back yard. About 50% of the pears from the tree hit the ground in the gale we had yesterday. Not worth saving at this point. The dumpster and land fill will get most of them. Have a great Friday back there. Please take care and stay safe!
Good Friday morning Mike! A beautiful sunny 52 degree morning here after 2 rounds of thunderstorms moved through our city! The grass actually looks greener now! Maybe I’ll mow one more time! We did have some hail with the first round which brought more leaves down. No barren trees though! I saw a second individual in the co-pilot seat as the first engine passed by initially. I think. I hope the supposed second passenger will show up maybe tomorrow! Have a great Friday out your way Sir! I definitely am here! Mark in Iowa.
Good morning, Mark; I thank you for stopping by along with the comments. I did see the rain at Burlington early this morning. It would have been nice out here. Strong winds yesterday cleared about 50% of the pears out of the tree in the back yard. Gotta get out there and clean up some of them so we can safely walk around. Our ash tree has also dropped a lot of leaves with the high winds yesterday. If that second pax didn't show in Denver, that person may be after a refund on the seat. Too bad. I barely caught the fella that got on. He is a commuter into Denver type of snob. Oh well. Have a great Friday back there. Please take care and stay safe!
Good morning, Ken; Thanks for dialing in and the comments. We are slowly getting down to seasonal temps out here. May get even more so over the weekend into Monday. Haver a great Friday back there. Please take care and stay safe!
Yeah good morning Mike it looks like it's getting down pretty cold out there now. And we may have had upper 30s last week but it's kind of this hot human sticky stuff that just won't go away back here. And I know it sounds weird but I kind of like things to be a little more seasonal. You know 80° and 70 degrees don't make sense for the end of october. Anywhere I'm sure we'll get a blast of it. But you know good to see that the train is running on time consistently going westbound by you.
Good afternoon, Robert; I thank you for dialing in along with the comments. Yep. The feel loke temp had me using a pair of hand warmers in my mittens. I don't leave home without them anymore. I agree about the getting more seasonal. I'm trying to shove some of this your way, but the jet stream has its own ideas. Those Zephyr crew are getting the pattern down as they don't have to fight all the slow orders found with the track work during the summer months. I am still impressed by the numbers of passengers using this station. Anyway, have a great Friday afternoon and evening. Pease take care and stay safe!
Good late afternoon (5:00).Hoping your day has been a good one. Did you happen to see a comment I sent a few?days ago that I had seen # 137 on the Heartland Flyer then I think it was a little later #5 came in with her😊.
Good evening, Carolyn; Thank you for stopping by and the comments. We go back into the upper 70s and low 80s tomorrow for a few days. Might get more seasonable about mid-week. I've been spoiled with the higher temperatures. I remember that comment and #137 was in the Zephyr a few days later. There is no rhyme or reason as to how they shift the engines around. Have a great evening down there. Please take care and stay safe! 🤓👋🐓🐓👌👍
Good morning Mike from 62 mid Tenn. Couple more days low 80 s til fall should appear. Looks like " Frost on the pumpkin" weather there in FMG. If you finally have some clean clear mountain air good for you.
Good morning, Ben; Thank you for dropping by as well as the comments. We are still well above the norm for this time of year. May change over the weekend and into Monday. Had more than enough winds yesterday. That brought down a lot of pears from the pear tree. Have to clear that mess up to make it safe to navigate thru the back yard. I'm more than ready for a change in the seasons. Had a great practice run this morning. Hope that you have a great Friday back there. Please take care and stay safe!
Good morning Mike. Gettin kind of regular having extra time to visit with the crew. Looks like a decent day, a little cooler but that's OK. Got the mri results back just waiting for a call from the Doc to see what the plan of attack is going to be. Have a good day, weekend and stay safe.
Good morning, David; I thank you for tuning in along with the comments. Yep. That's getting to be the norm. LOL! Had strong winds thru here yesterday that tore about half the pears from pear tree in the back yard. Gotta get the shovels and rake in operation to clean the yard up and make it safe to navigate thru. Hope you hear from the dr. about a plan for the back. Anyway, have a great Friday up there. Plese take care and stay safe!
Seems fall has arrived in FMG, along with the #5. Did find your video of the UP 4014, AWESOME. 0645 hours PDT , 50 degrees, sunshine in the 70's today. Did find a short HGTV about a new sign for the town ... what was wrong with the old one? Also, video of the 2022 car show, FMG downtown is bigger than i imagined. HGTV renovated a business downtown, which one and still in business? Seems there are many vacant store fronts. Pity Looks like a nice place to live and interesting place to visit. Looks like a nice day Best Ted
Good morning, Ted; Thanks for dialing in and the comments today. It is still warmer than seasonal. That may change over the weekend and into Monday. Way too much wind here yesterday brought down about half of the pears from our pear tree. Have to get them cleaned up to make it safe to go thru the back yard. Now you understand why I did not care for HGTV and that Hometown Makeover crew being here. That sign is only seen by locals and some longer distance drivers as well as the "Bull-shippers" bringing the steers to Cargill's slaughterhouse. I could go on but have to get after the pears before the wasps and hornets beat me to them. Have a great Friday out there. Please take care and stay safe!
Good afternoon Mike jensen My Name is Damien I heard the train in fort Morgan has came from Emeryville to Chicago and If you see mandy Tell Mandy Damien Says Hi
Good afternoon, Damien; Thank you for looking in and the comment. I will pass along your greeting if I see her again. Unless there is passenger activity at the sleeper cars here, I don't see her that much. Have a great Friday. Please take care and stay safe1
Good afternoon, John; Thanks for dialing in and the comments. In past years, we would have had snow and a hard freeze by now. The weather changes in the jet stream and all have prevented that this year. Snow has happened in the high country and the ski resorts are making snow as well. We may see more seasonal temperatures and maybe moisture next week. The wind did bring down a lot of leaves and pears yesterday. Our Ash tree has turned golden with the leaves yet there are still some green ones hanging on. No snow here on the flat lands predicted thru the middle of November. Anyway, I hope that you have a great Friday. Please take care and stay safe!
A quick stop with a friendly conductor !

Good evening, Jame; Thanks for dropping by and the comments. I very much appreciate it.
Please take care and stay safe up there.
I know several folks, a son included, who will be late for their own funeral. But a good video Mike. Thank you and hope you have a great weekend.

LOL. Good idea Mike. Think I'll join you.
Good morning Mike. I liked this video... just the peaceful pre-dawn approach of the Zephyr, and no one there to interrupt it.
Good morning, Ken' I thank you for tuning in as well as the comments. I was surprised the steel fabricators weren't working this morning. It did make for a quieter approach and departure. Have a great Friday.

Colder nights, cooler days. I'm enjoying it after the heat of the summer. Nice video this morning, Mike. Thank you for the Zephyr. Have a good day.
