Hi thanks for pointing me to this video, but the problem I am having is I try to start again removing the whole VMware software but not the installation if you get me, as I am on a bad internet connection it takes a while to download so I have both the VMware and the arm version. I reinstall but again after following the instructions it still comes up with a black screen and stupid "UEFI Interactive Shellv2.2" on screen. It is not like when you install and it takes you through what country you are from etc. It's a brand new matching no software really on it. Wish I could send you an image of what was on screen. Is there any way that after removing vmware it leaves files on MacBook and I don't know the terms but uses them and starts in exactly the same way..? Thank you for your reply and any help is always appreciated. Kindly Craig
Download Latest Kali Linux ARm64 ISO, VMWARE fusion (if installed already update it). Choose Debian 11 64Bit Preset as a linux type. Then during customising virtual machine, choose CPU cores 2 and ram as 2GB and try again. Once you are done, run the VM, as soon as you the Vm window, click anywhere inside the screen and spam the enter key .. Try this if it works let me know.
I also have the baseline Macbook Air M1 and installed everything exactly to your tutorial. I have the issue that videos and the Browser in general are lagging. You basically cant watch videos in the VM because of stuttering. Any suggenstions ?
one question why didn you choose debian 12? i have an m1 pro 16gb and allocated to my kali 4 cores 4gb ram and 25 of space choosed debian 12 and gnome DE. only xfce works without lagging. even amped the specs for the vm but not success. only xfce works best. is because i chose debian 12 and not 11?
Now the actual thing most of us dont want to disturb the main drive where mac os is installed, can we still install the vmware fusion on another drive lets say there is another partition in mac can wr install the vmware fusion in that drive separately and kali linux as well so that it doesn't acquire space
VMWare is an Application and it has nothing to do with MacOS. All the VMS are running in isolated environment.. SO no need to worry about anything. Your MacOS Is protected.

I have been having so much trouble with this. There aren't any forums (that I can find) for this problem on Kali Linux. I keep getting the error that says - "PXE-E53: No boot filename received PXE-M0f: Exiting Intel PXE ROM. Operating System not found" I have the "connected" and "connect at start" buttons clicked.

HELP PLS Im on a MacBookPro M2chip and i use a French Swiss Keyboard its QWERTZ and on my macOS when i want the tilde ~i need to press OPT + N with dosent work in Kali Linux VMware Fusion. In kali its F5 is there a way to make Linux use the same Shortcuts as my Mac?? if no where can i check to learn all the Shortcuts of Linux cuz it Took me 3hours to find it i literally spammed every possible combination. Another thing Copy paste in Linux using CMD + C dosent work inside the terminal but on the browser it does( i checked with OPT + C too)
I am so sorry for that. If you have setup GNOME desktop, there is an option to use keyboard shortcuts. You can google it or ask google bard or chat GPT for any help.

@@kskroyaltech how do I tell if it actually works. I’ve done something like it using a 64gb usb stick, but I get a bit confused during the vm configuration and can’t tell if it’s using the space inside the usb/external drive or the internal drive.

Forget VBOX. VMWare Fusion and UTM is the best.

Yep it's painful ,Running Kali inside UTM is just for learning kali stuff. That's it ....you cannot play video smoothly moreover audio is distorted.

How do you download older versions like 2023.3 because when I use 2023.4 it gets stuck when you enter domain name

A minor performance will be dropped because of 8GB Ram. But you wont notice it.

TBH I didnt try. Do one thing, connect the external drive, while creating the VM, save it to the external SSD.

why did you choose Debian 11 as opposed to 10 or 12?
It's just a preset. Cause Kali 2023 is based on Debian 11 and later Debian 12. It's better to choose DEB 11 or 12.
the kali linux will not dowmload on to the vurtal machine

VMWare doesnt support those distros. Try UBuntu, kali or Fedora thats it.
