How to propagate a pineapple top (crown)

This video shows how to properly use a pineapple fruit crown to grow another plant at home. I have already run quite a few fruits using this system, so I can say that it is reliable.
In this particular case, the whole process took two months - one to start the root system indoors and another to acclimate the plant to the outdoor soil exposed to the elements. Later, depending on your geographical location, you can transfer the plant directly to your garden.
