Morning Ian, thank you for the message. Its a difficult subject and one i have only understood a little more over the past few years. It can seem harsh to our feeble minds that God does predestinate some to heaven or hell, from the foundation of the world. Timothy 2 v 20 explains that in the great house there are vessels of gold and silver, also wood and of earth, and some to honour and dishonour. It would be so much easier if the elect had a big E on their backs. Our Pastor looks on it that we should treat all as Elect when we speak to them about Christ as we cant know one way or another. I think he means for us not to be respectors of persons, knowing that all need to hear the Gospel.
The same outcome will be achieved either way you look at it - go out into all the world and preach the Gospel. Keep up the good work.
